Tying the state record on blocks in a game, scoring near 20 a night, oh and as if it matters the other teams were not of the same color...from the big cities. RHS's team won these games together. i think hell hav a good college career like other illini centers, questions about whether he will prosper to the nba.there is potential, i do believe he is a lil weak, but athleticism is there, a body to fill up (help his weak strength), nice touch on the jumper, great passer, he seems of a more athletic tisdale, wit a slightly less of a jumper than tisdale. obviously questions about the talent he played against in high school are legit, but the AAU circuit helps to negate those questions.

Didn't the team he plays for beat salem on the road by 12 or 15? Never have seen him play like a girl. However, have seen where the inferior teams will constantly double and triple team him, forcing him to help his team beat you in other ways than just dropping in a truck load of points. But when you get to college and defenses play you more heads up due to the fact all the other players on the court can kill ya, we will see if you know more than some of the biggest recruiters in the country.

And with young bigs like Meyers you cannot judge their potential based on how they play against little high schools. It's too different a game. You have to look at their body type, their skillset and project how they'll grow. I think he's an outstanding recruit.

"Skinny" isn't a body type when talking about a 16-year old big man. The question is whether or not he has an athletic frame that can add weight. He absolutely does. And "too weak inside" isn't a part of skillset, it's simply related to natural physical growth. He shows excellent footwork and a real feel for playing in the post in addition to being able to step out. I hope he grows more too but he doesn't need to. He's already a legit 6'11", which means he has NBA center height already.
Deegan - when college coaches recruit 16 year olds, they're looking for potential, not current strength. Myers has a body type that bodes well for gaining strength in college. You see "skinny;" coaches and I see a kid with a frame that will support growth. Are you not happy with Mike Tisdale? Tis was like Myers Lite in high school and he's a solid BT center.
