"girl drops papers" 1 by stander...he helps..zero ignore, zero watch...therfore nobody would ignore or watch and everyone in the world owuld help out?....all these tests are about those individuals...you cand judge how others would react by how a handfull of diferent people act...this test iS FUCKING STUPID

  • @xxxDaniel2010xxx they weren't trying to help they were too stoned to see the girl and the white guy looked like he had some decent cash in his pocket

  • Wow I'm shocked all I can say is thank god (just an expression) those guys helped.

  • having a young girl dropping her load is not an experiment.... it's jail baiting

  • MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSE! Great choice of music! :D And interesting video.

  • I sure hope they aren't comparing abducting a child and helping a cute girl pick up papers.

  • @TheOrangeRoad I think they are.................. The description says "crisis." Are the people who made this video seriously categorizing this as a crisis?

  • when all those people helped the woman with the papers it made me smile :)

  • @xxxDaniel2010xxx lol!! they too busy trolling at the moment, this might be hard for them to see.

  • conclusions - there's a shitload more help then what you'd get in new york

  • It took 2 black guys to help.....against all odds. weldone guys

  • This makes me sad. I can't believe the amount of people that just ignore others in need.

    Wonderful video

  • After watching videos like this,I wonder if I'll hesitate thinking someone might just be making a video, instead of helping.

    Good job on your video=)

  • tecnically speaking you can die on the street and nobody will do something. People are just so fucking scared that it makes me sick. 'MOTHERFUCKER OUT THERE: GET INVOLVED!!!'.

  • Hey yaaa!! Mel here. Great job Vinnie! You go girl! ;)

  • Great video overall Vinnie, just that there's one problem.

When doing the experiment, have you realised that only guys helped to pick up your papers? Maybe that's why the data you obtain was a bit off?

Maybe if you could try getting another guy to do the same experiment using the same places you've been to, maybe you would be able to get a more accurate and comparable data.

p.s. I liked the fainting part, it was hilarious

  • cool!! Great stuff

  • Awesome stuff :)

  • Great video, demonstrates the concept well. Well chosen soundtrack, good idea for scenarios and situations :) Great job

  • I see myself in the Video!! =))) Awesome narrating and acting!! =) It's kind of interesting where you can see how those bastard from NewYork just left the child alone without helping. =_= ... Luckily we Malaysians aren't like that. Wohhoooooo.. =D

  • good job! :)

  • nicely done :)

  • Also, I just blogged it.

  • Damn, you lucky kid. I wanted to do Psych myself but my parents intervened. I'm doing Pharm now. Good luck kid!

  • wow, great video! shows that Malaysians aren't as bad people in the end. looks like in more dangerous serious and dangerous situations they're a little hesitant tho. which i suppose goes to prove the bystander effect all the more?

  • Awesome. This shows people ain't that bad. They are still willing to lend a hand to those who need it. Furthermore, this movie has shown that Malaysians are unite as one. =) One Malaysia!

  • great video !!

    very interesting !!

  • Very well done and narrated video. Showed different scenarios at different places and how people would respond in each of the scenario. Well worked as it does not seem staged. All in all a good way to evaluate Malaysian in a non-bias environment! Good job with the video as well as the research.

  • good explanation of the concept and past research.

    very interesting example.

1st exp : totally definitive manipulation of the variable. very good job. totally enjoyed watching

2nd exp: really interesting to watch the interactions taking place.

the paper falling experiment was definitely a success for you guys :) good job.

  • Very interesting and informative!

Very well done video; it's organized and coherent!

  • Good. its very interesting and meaningful

  • NICELY DONE=)

  • This is actually a very good experiment to test the pheonomena of the reaction of the people when something like this happen.I feel that it is a really good try that you do a real experiment by yourself.I understand better after watching the example of the video.good try!

  • great job there, it's very saddening to know about the people in our world today, it's really an eye opening to me. your presentation was clear and straight to the point. keep it up~

  • wow...great video...i didn't know alot of these things until i saw this video..its very informative...and i understand it...i guess i am kinda of a bystander...0.0

the video is very well done...like the background music alot...XD

  • This is very true.. a very interesting experiment to have been conducted... in my opinion i find it to have become a fact that people do not help in an emergency situation... great examples, especially the tv report clip... good choice of variables selected... crowd factor... a definite issue because everybody else thinks that another person will do it...

  • all in all, Great job, hope this wakes up people in the world.... initiative is needed to be put into hearts of people.... amazing, great job, information is solid, based on observation... awesome~ excellente~ marvelous~ fabulouso~ fantastica~ no other words can describe whats been put together here... *two thumbs WAY up*

  • wow!!i didnt know it works..great job~

  • Amazingly done and put together. This video clearly shows how people not only Malaysian but from around the world can sometimes be so ignorant. After watching the video, it definitely has changed my perspective on the things going around me, I would very much be more aware and attentive of my surroundings from now on.

    Thanks for the education

    Great job guys

  • hopefully im that 20%

  • nicely done. :D

  • good explanations and very insightful. well done.

  • This video was quite well done! Kudos!!

  • Very timely video pertaining to the recent events about "bystander effect". Thanks for the useful information!

  • Goodness in this video presentation - Real life situation video taken. - Music Background - Content of the video is clear - Voice over with titles are in good time frame Disagreement of the video - First 35 sec is really boring, makes me fast forward it. - Quality of the video is poor Conclusion - I can't give a really strict comment on the first 35 sec of the video, because you are not major in video editing. - The major topic is clear and makes people realize their surrounding. TUmbs up!!
  • Nice one Vinnie!!..=)

    goooood job!!..

    learn something...=P

  • Nice video. I think u just ace-ed in ur assignment. xD

  • well done, well presented clip, easy to understand, with close to home experiments.

  • Great video. There are a few things i would like to share:

    - Anyone who doesn't step in is frankly a coward.

    - Call anyone as well if you want, but they are not limitless, even if they do make it, they may be too late.

As the saying goes action speaks louder than words. After watching this video people might think "IF i were there i would help", but till the situation arise we'll see what happens.

    Dont be a NATO

    No

    Action

    Talk

    Only

So to everyone watching this you know what to do ; ) 2thumbsup

  • Woah , never thought this was studied @_@ . Good work . =D

You better get an A + fer this xP

  • Great video! It really open my eyes towards the culture and attitude of malaysians.

Though the results could be more accurate.

  • Awesome video. That is scary. Really well put.

    5/5 =D

    Emotionally swaying :O

  • great vid. this reflects on how some ppl wouldn't intervene to lend a hand or even care until someone steps in. a pretty touching vid in my opinion. awesome job on the editing ! :D !

  • Thanks Vinnie for the timely lesson/reminder. This afternoon I was a "bystander" :( A lorry driver was trying to get out from a very tight parking spot. His friend was trying to help him see if his truck is too near the park cars as he manouvered. I could have been a little more helpful :(

    Thanks again.

  • thumbs up ! =D

  • POWER-ed to the MAX :D

  • good video.

  • Great video, short and simple. Easy to understand with and straight to the point. Well-portrayed over and all.

    now i kwn what's bystander effect.=p

  • This is soo true and it happens everywhere. Great vid.

  • Good job! But there are still rooms for improvement. :) A more appropriate experiment to outline the Bystander Effect in Malaysia is needed. Nevertheless, you produced a good video :)

  • Very interesting video.. good job

  • nice. alot of information

  • good job *thumbs up* :)

  • Teaches us a lesson, if one person helps, many more will. I think we should all do our part, and help each other out, as fellow Malaysian citizens. Next time something happens, I'll learn from this and help out. Keep doing what you guys are doing, and if enough people are willing to help out, our country will be a better place. I learned something here. Props to all of you who conducted this research.

  • YAY VINNIE! THAT WAS GREAT :)

Sorry I couldnt help dear, you did a GREAT JOB anyways <3

  • great job

  • great job! (: this is very interesting! *thumbs up*

  • good

  • Not to be racist, I think old stuck up chinese ladies would do this too, but I like how the old malay lady would rather carry her 4kg baby than help a girl pick up some pieces of weightless paper.

  • P.S. Vinnie even drops her stuff right next to her. Stuck up bitch.

  • The lady I mean :x not Vinnie

  • Thumbs up on the project ! Interesting experiment on human behavior. Hope we Malaysians will be more helpful towards one another & make this a better society =)

  • wtf people didn't help the little girl. but yeah good job on being so detailed. feels like i've just studied psychology -.- HAHAHA

  • Good job Vinnie. This is really educational and I really watched the video. Hahaha. I didnt comment it blindly. Keep up the good work. :)

  • Awesome video guys! I like i like! (:

  • Cool, didnt know that there is actually a experiment on these sort of things.... but if i'm there i'll surely help... LOL

  • niceeeeeeeeeee :D

  • nice! i like itt!!! :D hhahaha!

  • nice job! :) loved how some ppl just stood by. hahah!

  • Good stuff here. =) Thanks!

  • Whoa awesome video. Interesting experiment, always thought the 'diffusion of responsibility' theory had been somewhat disproved by Milgram. Sad to know that it still happens in Malaysia though. :(

  • like this video.

most of the people just watch without making a move.

and after watching this video, i realise that, less crowded place, more people help you. X) thanks for infomation..

  • wow this is so cool. I always assumed there was someone else helping another in need. Humans are selfish aren't they.. or is it just me.. lol

p/s : the two black guys are awesome! hard to find people like these nowadays. Strange thing is they actually helped a white girl despite skin colour.. maybe its time we set aside racial discrimination..

  • Good job with the video :)
