Man...Set up a guitar? Your work bench needs a soft mat or anything but a hard surface! If I saw a tech working on my guitar on a hard wood bench...I made a very large mistake in my tech! I know your trying to help but start at step #1 respect your ax.

you have to use an allen key and tighten the truss rod if u want to lower the action an loosen it if u want it higher
