  • nice done!

    watch?v=bwsvAw1somA

  • What the hell is this? How can they fool people again so easily? If people fall for this maybe they'll fall for my ponzi scheme.

  • How can you be allowed to work for NASA if you have a mullet?

  • Wow what a freaking dud. Apparently 1960's technology was so advanced they can't duplicate it today.

  • @tenebroust

Ah yes - the absolutely fabulous Lost Technology of the 1960s. NASA can't duplicate it because they mislaid al the blueprints for everything. They also lost all the recordings of every Apollo transmission (30,000 of them). So they claim.

  • Is the VanRyan belt any factor to returning to the moon?

  • what about the 2 pyrmids?

  • who pays for it? who benefits? we, the people and not the people! it's not future effing tense, man - it's going on now. all over the solar system. i think i'd like to exile these f***ers to near earth objects, then have a little target practice.

  • why are the shadows not changing on this phony pile of dross... oh i answered my question. fake. insult to intelligence. bøllocks.

  • @thepofmeister Why would the shadows change over the span of 17 minutes on an object that rotates once every 30 days? If it were fake, you'd see the shadows move.

  • @spacevidcast - mmmn, juuust tesssting! you are paying attention. well done. ( DOH! - I was trying to be a cynical smart arse... which you've kicked ) : )

Never A Straight Answer, are still military slime, however. let's talk about the non terrestrial navy, nasa... huh? let's talk about mining the moon? mmm? let's talk about mars? yes?... yeah right.

  • @thepofmeister Some viewers see no problem with mining the moon, really. As long as there are stipulations put in place, such as quantity per year, for example. The moon's surface is over 4% titanium. It's a matter of time before some private company wants to do this. There are Near Earth Objects worth some 20 trillion dollars. Might as well mine them too!

What about Mars? We're at least 20 years from doing anything there, as far as NASA goes at least.

  • look at beard face in back... oi c***, shouldn't you be playing bass for james taylor?...

  • i just love the black and white cam that are not very hd.

  • @taramama3 Why spend money on perks that serve no real purpose other than to provide eye candy on what's already given, only to have it destroyed upon impact with little to gain? The moon lacks color. The impactor is destroyed and LRO collects the data to send back here. An on-board HD camera would just show high def shadows(waste of money to see sharpness there). We can get the exact same results from other satellites.

  • @spacevidcast Your argument would make sense if we were still in the 1960's when this technology was not been developed and it would have cost a lot of money to just be crashed, but I bet you that any chinese camera of today would be enough to produce much better images with a minimal cost....I have a canon 500D camera that captures HD video and it is only $160 more than the one without HD. I think that $160 is peanuts in the whole budget of a "misile" like this one!!!

  • Nasa was far superior in the 1960s, they could fly men up to the moon, walk around , take photos, and even drive a lunar vehicle. Now 40 years later its a big deal to crash a craft into the moon ???

  • @ebutuoy9000 Yep. NASA now does 'bargain basement' space exploration.

  • @ebutuoy9000 Back then, we had a purpose. We were trying to win a race. People supported NASA. Today, people think NASA is a waste, so there's no congressional support. If that's missing, there's no money to back NASA. "No bucks, no Buck Rogers."

  • @spacevidcast The real purpose was to demonstrate that capitalism was a better model than communism, it was an economic and political agenda, and now that capitalism has taken over in most of the world, there is no need for NASA anymore...its all about money and not human knowledge...I wish the Chinese or the North Coreans put another man in the moon or in Mars so the race can start again and humanity slowly gets rid off religion and superstition that holds us back...science is the only way ->

  • @spacevidcast

In that case why are they looking for water on the surface of the Moon?

  • This is not the video NASA filmed. Im not fooled in the slightest.

  • What did they tape a cell phone camera on there last minute for this!?

  • I still can't believe this stupid ass old camera was there. What is it, like 1-2 frames per second? What century is this?!

  • What does fps have anything to do with this? The camera was obviously not intended to take Hollywood cut scenes on the moon -_-

  • Well I believe that they definatelly could put something like a web camera on there. Such a great shot is ruined by the FPS factor, in my oppinion.

  • That's science bitches, it works.

  • To the conspiracy theorists who claimed Jerry Garcia was not dead, I apologize.

  • its science!!! BAHAHA oh man

  • Now since they detonated, we have had hell weather here on earth. What two globes rule our wind and water. There is the reason why gestation is 28 days when it goes to 29 days you'll know why. There is a reason why high tide is higher during a full moon. Who is the nut that allows these experiments and why?

We have enough water. We don't need to travel to other planets. Soon we will be saying kill all the stupid experimental scientist!

  • @toechesse This was much to small to have the kind of lunar effects you are talking about. You need medication.

  • Gotta hand it to McGowan, just destroyed the moon landing hoaxes.

It took us 8 years to land on the moon but 40 years later with vastly improved technology and all the knowledge from all the earlier 'missions' we can't go 'back.' Hahaha.

I hope in 10 years or so we'll have personal computing machines.

  • You missed one detail: Space Shuttle can't go to the Moon, and other thing are now in focus, not some recreating walk 380 000 kilometers from Earth.

  • Got to love how these guys talk science but believe in folding lunar rovers, lol.

    Stupid bootlickers.

  • Dave mcgowan uses science too eh. Read it you will like it. Start with this one. Its 270 degrees in the sun and minus 300 in the shade. Those are some pretty magic suits huh?

  • Wagging the moondoggie by Dave McGowan.

  • Too bad NASA 'lost' all the data from the missions.

  • Let's see it take us 8 years to get to the moon from scratch and now after supposedly going 6 times and with improved technology we can't make it 'back' by 2020.

  • super large couldron of feces

  • I wonder who the guy in the black shirt who left around the 9 minute mark was? Such an exciting time, yet, no-one said goodbye to him and he didn't say it to anyone else! He doesn't look like part of the team to me!!

  • probably embarrassed that he was a part of whatever deception was going on

  • What was that explosion where they said "WTF" between 2:41 and 2:48 to the south-west area of the impact site near the bottom of the shadow of Cabeus?

  • This is the most boring thing I've ever seen.

  • opr 10?!?!?!?!really what was the need?!? anyone see a dome like object like i do?

  • Why have we lost the 1960's technology, when we had men bouncing around on the moon. Those guys just got the job done with laughable props wrapped up with gold foil, and tied together with selotape. So why can't we manage anything even halfway impressive now?

ok, so they only had grainy, B&W, half-speed camera work back then. And hi-res cameras that never picked up a single star. But we got stuff done back in the 60's, eh ?

Where's the spirit (not to mention the tech!) gone?

    Weak!

  • What are you trying to say.... that we should send men to the moon just to look for water ice?

As you can plainly see it's much safer and cheaper to do it this way, space travel is still ridiculously dangerous, challenger and columbia ring any bells?

The shuttle fleet is obsolete and will apparently be retired from service next year, after 30 years of use.

  • its called the government doesn't want to show all of it's technology to people yet. so they keep it a secret.

  • Wagging the Moondoggie

    by David McGowan

    google it explains faked landings.

  • Fuck off, you worthless cunt. Nobody believes the moon landings were faked.

  • Youvebeen, You have been lied to since birth, so have I. Please, with the language, nothing will be gained with anger. Read the series by Dave Mcgowan, then say the same thing. If you would have asked me a month ago I would have said we landed....six times...during a cold and hot war...with disposable craft every time....yeah sure we did.

  • No, you see, I believe in a little thing called science. Man walked on the moon, 6 times.

  • The moon people deserve everything they get.

  • wow, absolutely NOTHING happend.. or atleast they didnt show the real footage...

what a complete waste of 17minutes of my life. epic fail nasa, epic fucking fail.

btw, there are supposedly structures on the moon.. either we humans have been there before at a previous climax of civilization(which is possible) or something else has. search for water my right ass cheek.

  • lmao

  • yup glass structures. glass is the strongest material in vacumm....

  • yeah, they've found glass tube-like structures on mars too. wether or not these are hollow, or artificially made as opposed to naturally occuring from volcanic activity NASA hasnt divulged. NASA, Never A Straight Answer ... .

  • yeah they need to place wireless video camreas on the moon, like image the impact! BOOM!! MAHAHHAHAA!! lol

but it would probaby take months years for the footage to come back lol

  • sweet mullet and stash! lol!

  • The moon is an alien artifact the surface has only a shallow 'crust' as camouflage, NASA suspected this and have now found it to be true, no big plume of material just a dull thud as the lcross impacted, i knew it all along muahhahaha. Now all Nasa have to say is thatt heir equipment was faulty to cover their deception.

  • ps watch out coz that probably pissed the aliens off ! Attacking their base like that, bad move NASA

    -hides-

    muahahaha

  • Interesting how there is no "actual" video...

  • heads up!...the brother didnt get a high five..racist NASA director..

  • lmao I saw that. Was fucked up.

  • They got some rednecks in there! Keep the bombarding coming!

  • Show us the beautiful bean footage of what really got blown up!

  • The "guy in black shirt" is a mongrel to leave "dude in red shirt" hanging..

  • hehehehe what the hell, i was woundering where the hell OSAMA BIN landin hidden. He is hidden in moon. good that they found him. bomb the shit out him. lol great job from step 79th

  • dont believe this crap that nasa feeds us they are hiding the truth all that money just to crash a satellite fucking bullshit ...

  • I do find the behavior of the "guy in the black shirt" who packs up his laptop and leaves to be intriguing but ALSO the reactions of the two guys in the foreground...

  • i am secretly super submissive and attracted to YOU, big boy

  • where all the black and hispanic nasa workers?

  • they're there, I've worked with them.

  • Comment removed

  • At what time in this vid is the Centaur Rocket impacting the moon. Im doing some research on this vid and need to know.

  • Can anybody explain why they didn't use Robot mounted with GPR or Seismic Radar to map the Geophysics of the Moons Lithosphere? Since when was crashing a fucking satellite scientific! All this from a Agency that has taken Trillions of Dollars in Tax payers money, this is the best they can do?

  • Never

    A

    Straight

    Answer

  • I ask the same thing!! Just putting more trash on the moon. Great.

  • I think the money was spent on the equipment that is analyzing the debris. The crash isn't what the money goes the most to although it is rather expensive to accelerate a craft above 12 km/s to get it there the real mine is what is shot up and what is found in it, ie water.

  • no impact here.

they are cleaning footage, to get rid of electrical discharge flash. electrical universe, not just gravitational.

  • Crap.

  • Hahaha no high five :D

  • Lol 9:06-9:11 the guy gets rejected!!

  • HAHAHAHAH! nice observation! I bet when the guy raised his hand, the guy in the black shirt said "who's gay?" haha and the guy in the red got embarrased.

  • @HitmanAtM16 cause is black???

  • Should have used a photon torpedo. Damn it Jim, he's a Vulcan!

  • high-5's are denied in nasa?

  • They probably have to act professionally, whatever that means. The crash was a fail...No good video feed on the actual moment of impact.

  • they said that scienctists expected the crash to be seen more easily when it was barely visible at all

  • why would there be a mushroom cloud? there were no explosives onboard. and if you mean something like a nuclear explosion, then the only reason there is a mushroom cloud on earth from a nuclear explosion is because of more gravity than the moon, and an atmosphere that slows and reflects the particulate matter from the explosion

  • if anyone wants a lockerz invite, pm me.

by the way, i watched this live, and i was completely disappointed. hopefully the data that comes back will be more exciting.

  • is it just me that sees that this is just a photo being zoomed in every 3 seconds until its so full of pixels that they change it to a red and green image to hide them?

  • remember the lunar landings? it was 1969 and there was a better picture

  • because the lunar landings where fake.....jk lol

  • yeah, but still youd think there would be good and cheap enough cameras for such an event, hopefully there was one that will sent back better video on the craft

  • I thought it had an on-board HD camera, and was a bit surprised at how low quality it really was. It may have been the size of the camera or the amount of allocated bandwidth. I don't know but there may be a simple and good explanation for it. I do think it looked a LOT better than Apollo which was super, epic crud... But not as good as I would have thought.

  • @Chubachus caw caw blah swaull/?

  • I THINKits a nasa fake

  • No dude, If you looked up at the moon on Friday at 7:00 a.m, with a telescope, you could have seen the impact like I did. It was a big puff of smoke.

  • For everyone who suspects every NASA mission of being a fake... I would be simply ignorant to believe that NASA is exagerating the technology they use to launch space vehicles and explore the universe. To say that we have never been to the moon, or that these current videos of the LRO/LCROSS mission are fake is perposterous. I, as an average person on the earth, could probably build and launch a vehicle capable of reaching the moon, given that I had enough money to buy the components necissary.

  • You can't even spell necessary with spell check turned on let alone build a rocket that can fly from a spinning earth to a moving moon and impact it at a precise point

  • @flipbrown1981 (better late than never) My apologies if my spelling ability or grammar are not up to your strict standards. Now, in the future, perhaps you should refrain from assuming someone is a moron because they spelled a word wrong.

  • i dont believe the nasa missions are fake, on the contrary, i do believe, however, that they are hiding a lot. being a civilian, public organization they shouldn't be allowed to keep secrets.

This footage of the LCROSS impact seems like a photo being zoomed in, you can even see the grain in the picture before they cut to all white. I could be wrong but i believe they keep the real footage for themselves and fed us this.

  • lol okay so this is all real, if they messed up at getting to where they needd to hit, itd be all on those two people demanding what needed to be done. I was in astronomy class yesterday at 7:30am we were watching this live,my teacher had said they use code words obviously, like NOVEMBER, is a code for going north.

  • its all a lie !!!!

  • Oh boy such crap.

NASA FAIL. GIVE US BACK OUR MONEY.

We know the UFOs will kick your ass for going back there when they told you not to,..

Stupid NASA. I just hope the UFOs don't send a "missile probe" at Earth...

    M I R 2, o.2 Hertz, WTF??!?!?! your fake voice actors SUCK.

  • That clapping a wasteful ungodly boondoggle and their pitiful unprodcutive jobs. What losers. Ya'll ain't ain't smart your greedy crooks like all the demohack aand reatrd that live off the inflationary dime.

  • there was statement of one minute to impact and nothing happens only the freezing frame and infrared of nothing !

no smoke, no dust no crater and wtf is NOVEMBER ? everbody talk about november, why do not tell you what it was ?

    this mission is suspected

  • In regards to the word NOVEMBER... the flight direction crew were asking to clarify wether the science team members were saying NIR (Near Infra-Red) or MIR (I dont know if there is a component labeled MIR). NOVEMBER is simply the military pheonetic way of saying the letter N. There is no hidden meaning behind it.

  • aha thanks...so "N" be as Natasha, no as month in the year, is a bit confusing.

thanks again, for better future and positive thinkng, peace

  • did anyone else catch that he said "this is the largest impactor we have utilized on the lunar surface" meaning they have bombed the moon before just not with such force. Does anyone know if there was a warhead on the rocket or some explosive to aid the "impact" of the rocket?

  • Nope, just the rocket stage, nothing else. That was all they needed - it was moving at more than two kilometers per second.

  • Why do you think they did not show the actual footage of the impact even the Nerd commentator recognized that there was a lot of equipment there and little to no data given. It was publicized that the impact should have been seen with a small telescope and NASA didn't have anything to show.... There should have been a brilliant blast much like the video's of the atomic bomb. This video was anti climatic.

  • This was not a good idea on so many levels... I understand that they are all smarter than any of us but who gave them authority to bomb the moon with such force..... Im sure you all remember the 9.0 earthquake that caused the devastating tsunami a few years back... it also slightly shifted the earth's tilt shouldn't there be a similar side effect to blasting the moon in this way? I pray this was a fake WE are so not smart

  • im still confused why theres only chugging frames of video. did technology digress in the past 40 years? the moon landing was broadcast live in better quality.

  • high 5 fail at 9:05 ....poor guy...

  • haha, ye high five hang time fail.

  • bwahahah thanks for pointing it out. it made my day.

  • ummm. yeah am i crazy or did anyone else notice the 4 second white out during the first impact??!!?? wft ...and whats with the female freaking out over a "project" mission!?! yeah there is more than what is being shown....dont know what it is... but it is there

  • Much remains to be seen even human civilization

  • what did you expect, technology that actually works? come on it's only 2009.

high five geek getting owned is the only part of this worth watching.

  • i think thre would/nt be any mushroom cloud. the target is on a dark shadow part of the moon :) you could nt seen any clouding on a dark part (",)

  • this sux no explosion or anything.FAIL

  • I was told they were going to bomb the moon, frankly I am disappointed :p

  • twice again, since I have said it more than once, it wasn't a bomb, there were no explosives onboard

  • Well, what a waste!

  • Easy on the mushrooms there, spaceman.

  • You might want to talk with your doctor about adjusting your meds.

  • lol, xenu aint gonna do shit to stop humanity buddy

  • @Mulfia...

I think your perception on the size of those craters is way off. The impact is in the shadowed region.

It's not very easy is it to see something in the dark. Also they said the space craft wasn't landing exactly on the plume but rather kilometers from the spot of the payload impact

  • Because there could be water.

You're completely wrong. Mars has water. Plus, moon dust can be converted to water.

  • The water is going to disappear? Earth is like 70% water. You think we should be trying to go to other galaxies, obviously we may have a hard time with that right now, like saying to a baby, why are you trying to crawl, you need to learn to fly.,..... I think we ought to try to crawl a bit first.

  • the closest galaxy is 25,000 light years away. anything with matter cant even go the speed of light. and we are no where near reaching anything that could get to the closest star (4 light years away) to our solar system in our life time. i think this is more in our reach at this time

  • This is just the first step in a long future of humans amongst the stars. Baby steps. We have to start somewhere and the natural first fit is our own Moon. Then Mars. Then possibly Europa. And on!

Eventually we may find a way to cheat the speed of light. Until then, time to learn, explore and advance humanity! One baby step at a time.

  • ok maybe the earth is like 70% of water but we only can use water from rivers or lakes, the water of the ocean doesnt count. we can not use that water.

  • Desalination... and they do this already, the only downs are costs, but I am sure with increasing demand and increasing tech the problems will be solved.

  • You're kidding me right? "Planets in other galaxies." XD The closest galaxy is called Sagittarius Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy and it's 80,000 light-years away...Even if there was a planet there with LIFE let alone WATER on it we wouldn't even be able to get to it. The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second. So think about it. Even if we had a vessel that could travel at the speed of light, it would still take us 80,000 years to get there. -_-

  • The closest plant to harbor life is Jupiter's moon Europa. It is covered in ice and astronomers believe that there might be a salt water sea under the ice, and the atmosphere is made up of a lot of oxygen.

  • star trek really brainwahsed generations of couch potatoes into thinking more highly of the human race than they ought...

  • Star Trek Inspired Thousands of individuals to strive for the betterment and unity of humanity, the development of new sciences & technologies, & still does to this day. - Example: Your MP3 Players & Flip-Open Cell Phones - Star Trek concepts. ~

  • So true FD001yt. -high five-

  • they not fake it only they fuc*** with it >

  • 9:07

  • funny as hell....

  • look 8:59

  • I hope NASA finds an efficient and cheap method to supply water from the moon to California in a few years.

Just kiddin' :D. Congratulations NASA for the successful mission!!!

  • the 3 dudes at the end look like kiddy fiddlers, LETS FUCK UM UP

  • WTF was that, where is the impact?

  • They didn't fake it, cause you could see it through your telescope, I saw it through my telescope, it was there, why would they fake it? They have the technology and the money!

  • I was just about to post this same thing. Anyone with an 8+ inch telescope outside last night could see the plume. This was most certainly real and was also very exciting.

  • Exactly, why would they fake it, they have no reason to! I guess the next thing people will be posting on weather the sky is really blue, or if our government is trying to cover up something that they don't want us to see. lol.

  • You're arguing with people who think that Bush, the stupidest person to be president, pulled off the smarted conspiracy in the world.

    Amazing.

  • 9:07 high five? :D

  • I heard that if they don't find enough water then the U.S gov would not pursue building a permanent base in the foreseeable future, especially since Constellation was shit canned because of insufficient funds .

This whole mission was basically NASA trying to convince the powers that be for funding, which I do hope they get.

  • 9 minutes in is the left hanging moment, look at the expression the guy on the right makes after seeing it like "what an asshole" - that is totally unamerican and against all guy-code, you never leave a man hanging like that, especially not after blowing something up, ESPECIALLY not after blowing something up on the FRICKIN MOON - COME ON GUY!!! There should be high fives all around!!!!

  • i'm gonna give high fives to all my friends today in celebration of the LCROSS impact

  • again, didnt blow anything up. there were no explosives onboard, it was an inert wad of aluminu foil, cameras, and other sensors.

  • Well, anyone listening to Rush the other day would think that it was the MOP bunker buster. Thats what they said " live" that they were hitting the moon with.

  • well, and now?

  • LOL at 9:00

  • If it is for me, I do not understand

     fascist orders.

  • Every time it seems less civilized way of dealing with nature ...

  • Looks like a high resolution still image zoomed in on, then near the end they flash a white screen...

Also - there was suppose to be TWO impacts not one. The second impact was suppose to be four minutes after the first.

Also - The "camera" was shaky. The moon doesn't have Earths atmosphere so why is it shaking?

Seems like they could have done better (To me.. ).

Thinking for yourself or pointing out things that look afoot doesn't make you a "conspiracy theorist".

  • Shut up. I hate people like you. Just watch the video and go away.

  • Why? The LCROSS didn't have any supporting satellite imagery or assistance from Earth.

"I hate people like you." - Well, without trying to insult you.. That is a fairly ignorant thing to say. You hate people who question, wonder or assemble any sort of logical stream of thought that could possibly oppose something that was flashed on the television.

    Go troll some where else...

  • why would they fake it???

  • I didn't say it was fake. I only pointed out that it looked weird and was missing the second impact...

  • you didnt see the second impact because the second impact was the space craft it self, so of course you didn't see it

  • Right, but if that was true there would be a plume of debris that the LCROSS went through after the Centaur?

  • holy shit you are a retard

  • No you're just a fucking ignorant douche. Do you really think the Centaur plume was thousands of miles off the surface of the moon?

I didn't say the event did not occur. I said that it could NOT have been the debris that cause the shaking.

  • the camera is shaky because the LCROSS is descending through the debris field that the centaur caused when it impacted the moon

  • That would be a explanation except..

Why is it we don't see the plume of debris? The plume was suppose to be at a height of six miles according to NASA. If Centaur hit the moon first and there is a gap of a four minutes before the next impact with a object that is traveling several thousand miles per-hour behind it the plume of debris would never have touched LCROSS till the very end? Thanks for answering! :)

  • I agree with you on the lack of a visible debris field, my only guess is that the debris was actually in the crater and, because of the shadow, we cannot see it, which is why NASA switches to thermal imaging after LCROSS enters the crater
