  • They call him The Teacher?

  • looooooooooooooooooooooool the UK is not a democracy!! ITs a JOKE! Let the PEOPLE Vote not the political people. And I am sure many people in the UK are against gays, if you want gays, let the people vote. If you want religion studies, let the people vote. If you want better education let the people vote! LET THE PEOPLE VOTE!

  • @yoyuepz

It's still logisticly impossible even by electronic means.

  • @Humancyclone7 nope. If you can bank online you can vote online. lol no its not electronic impossible, its just no one ever tried to do it. Like in CH, they vote for everything that is true democrate, like the ancient Greeks! that is the only way you will know what people want.

  • @yoyuepz "If you want gays"? What the fuck does that mean. Gay people exist whether ignorant bigots like you like it or not. It's not a voting matter.

Jeez - I shudder to think that morons like you actually have the vote. But, this IS a democracy, so unfortunately for us all, you do.

  • @Ellie8969 You see I talk to many people, from different cultures and I notice this. People who believe in "nothing" think there is nothing from the uk, generally think gays nothing wrong with it. However now lets go to another culture, such as Singapore. They believe in "nothing", of course there is Islam, Christian and Hindu however they want a HIV test before you even get a job.You see the different between a nation which as SG compare to UK they PREVENTING risk! Unlike yourself

  • @yoyuepz More heterosexuals get HIV than gays, you moron.

And I don't believe in "nothing" - I believe in equal rights. I also believe in keeping my nose out of other people's private lives. What fucking business is it of yours what consenting adults do in private?

You're a bigot. Stop hiding behind your belief in invisible men in the sky and see yourself for what you are.

  • @Ellie8969 They get it because it was a gay who gave it to them in the first place, and hes probably a "bi" which is not one or the other. loool equal rights, keep dreaming. There is no such thing. the only equal rights in this world is MONEY! Then you can has many equality rights as you desire.

I never said there was a god, all I said "i know nothing", however can you prove that there is not a god? You cant! Neither can I prove there is. You insult me yet I never insulted you.

  • @Ellie8969 That just shows your level of intelligence. I know your a socialist, and you desire "equal rights" which is a fairy tale and it was Christians which introduced "equality" not "non-believers". I say "christian" as many Muslims are going through the dark ages with women and etc. However for gays, yap thats a problem! Which includes bisexuals.

  • @yoyuepz I called you a bigot. That's not an insult, that's a statement of fact.

A scientific study that you might be interested in hearing about: It's been shown that the most homophobic members of society (people just like you) happened to be the ones who got the fastest erections when shown gay porn.

    Think about that.

(Given your appalling grammar, I'm struggling to make sense of the rest of your comment, so I won't bother trying to respond).

  • @Ellie8969 No thats your opinion, it is not a fact. Well when you talk to foreigners all day from other countries maybe you can understand about the grammar, maybe they influence the way you type? But to be honest I dont give a fuck what you think, I dont know you. Your a typical socialist which is degrading your ancestors societies, and this is the problem with UK. Divide and conquer. While other countries in the world are making money you complain about religion.

  • @Ellie8969 While other countries are taking away the riches of your society and building up there nations and are building churches and wanting to believe in god, yet the society which they are taking it away from is going in the opposite direction. This is something to be said. I meet MANY uk people such as yourself, And I find they are missing something in there life.

  • @yoyuepz I dont know what, I dont care, I care about myself. But you are a fool to listen to ppl such as dawkins which makes $ from people such as yourself, people which are "sheep" and believe what people such as "dawkins" say. Go back and read about the romans and greeks, and then come back on here and have a argument. All you try and do is insults, that is the height of your intelligence I suppose :D

  • @Ellie8969 And remember SG is an economy which is based on hard working etheics, no fairy tales such as"Gays are great people".And they are one of the greatest nations in the world to clean dirty money, something which you will disagree. However if you want to work for a company and there is gay people and some fucked up accident happened and blood went over your face, you dont even know if they gay or not.Now I think your are the one which is pathetic, PREVENTION is better than cure

  • 'womans officer' translates, ignorant cunt

  • she's nice at 2.20 i'd soon rip her veil off lol,she talks a lot of shit but i'd sort her out

  • The Muslim cleric seems to revel in the fact that society struggles to criticise religion without being accused of being prejudiced and ignorant towards it. Also I think Richard Dawkins is the only one who seems truly concerned with the labelling of children. We don't consider there to be labour or tory children, so why are there Christian or Muslim children?

  • I'm running out of patience with religion.

  • Dawkins chooses to be inflammatory without fully explaining why it is bad to receive strong influence as a child from community leaders. Attacking the straw man of sharia law in a third world country hardly discounts the strong, discipline-focused values of judeo-christian education. Before age 15 it is ridiculous for a child to decide autonomously to reject his faith, and before age 25 there is further development of reasoning capacity that can be aided by broad-based Christian education.

  • @lanester80 I cannot understand your point that children less than 15 cannot reject their faith/god - do the children in the west not stop believing in santa claus, fairies, dragons, monsters under the bed, etc by age 15?

  • The penalty for apostasy, an admission hard-earned by Dawkins, is DEATH.

The reason this isn't imposed in Great Britain, America, or any other Enlightened society is that they allow Secular values to supercede religious ones.

The penalty for teaching children rational inquiry and skepticism within christianity IS ALSO DEATH. Luke 17:2, Mark 9:22, Matthew 8:6

  • @manonthemount ..ur quotations is out of context and absurd.

  • What is the penalty for apostacy?

"If it is an Islamic country the Sharia is very clear: the penalty for it is the death penalty."

Then he says: "what is the relevance between what happens in islamic country and Great Britan, I fail to see the connection."

Really? He just denounced the Sharia in an islamic country. Those laws are based on the Quran. How can he denounce this and still want it in Britain? He is either a hypocryte, a liar or severly mentally challenged.

  • @Cinqmil Once the Sharia is installed in the west, there is no way back. Then his true colours will show. It will be not possible for muslims to leave their religion. Or will he change the way Sharia is implemented? How do you do that? With human reason. No god necessary!

  • The Muslim cleric asks what is the connection between death for apostasy in Muslim countries and Britain. Well here is the connection you lying bastard. Muslims in Great Britain want sharia law for Muslims. And then you will see death for apostasy in Great Britain and other western countries. You know this full well and that is why you had to be put on the spot to answer.

  • The death penalty if you decide to to renounce your faith?!! That is totally barbaric, it shows you how the "Abrahamic" faiths are backwards, and are 2000 years behind normal free thinkers like Professor Dawkins and Athiests. Do they not realise that their so called religions are stolen from myths passed down through generations (read Dawkins book "The Magic of Reality") the so called God of these religions is a twisted, evil, sadistic and being to worship such a thing is most disturbing. And w

  • its funny, only the atheist was brave enough to speak his TRUE BELIEFS..while alll the religious "leaders" and "followers" were afraid to answer truthfully because they know how outrageous and cruel their real beliefs are on each topic that were brought up

  • they should ask the muslim guy about homosexuality....that would be hilarious...he would burst into flame for such blasphemy / the priest is just rapping it out...just spitting out random words...no actual answer

and all these time poor Dr. dawkins was waiting for his one answer...one answer he asked from the opening.. "what is the penalty for apostasy" finally..he got his answer and satisfied with the obvious disgusting answer.

    LOL religious people are funny.

  • This is just an absurd format. How can any meaningful headway be made when each person can only talk for an about 30 seconds?

  • 5:20. 'you may still be at school, I don't know.' she is wearing a SCHOOL UNIFORM!

  • @RiseOfThePro he was being "polite"

  • SIR RICHARD DAWKINS!!!!

  • Being a homosexual at adolescence is nothing uncommon. It is an age of 'exploration' and most grow out of it. How is acting natural a sin?

  • "we are a part of democracy and have the right to hate fags and spread the idea until they are all hanged in the city center" that's pretty much all i hear from the religious side. they might talk about how loving and tolerant they are, but from history we have a very clear sense of what's lying underneath these arguments. when a country lives by religious rules, then people are hanged and chopped to bits every day, that's not a very tempting future. indoctrination is horrible.

  • Haha Why will no one answer the question, "What is the apostasy for leaving the Muslim tradition."

If you truly believe in a religion then fucking embrace it, even the bad parts.

  • I have a question, how do you raise a child without influancing the child?

  • @PAVMATHIE

Good question and I think the answer is that it is impossible. We cannot escape raising children to our ideals. Even to raise them with no religion is to influence them towards atheism. Whatever views on religion and social values, you hold you cannot help but bring your kids into that realm. But what is possible is to help your kids to understand that u made choices for ur lifestyle and they must make them for their own. Also, allow them to have exposure to other practices.

  • Not much of a debate!! Should have called it "A General Discussion"

  • If one truly believes in something, why would they use modality to explain it. There should be no grey area.

  • Richard Dawkins is a master debater.

  • @Airsoftattack123 He is indeed, but this definitely isn't one of his best debates.

  • that was a very abrupt conclusion...

  • @kochos777 Australian debate shows are pathetic attempts at infotainment.

  • Anyone who's ever said, "only a theory," doesn't know what a theory is.

  • What's funny is that when he finally admitted what the penalty is for apostasy, he was so flustered that he misspoke and said, "apostrophe."

  • Imagine you're Dawkins and you're sitting here with a bunch of hypocritical idiots! Damn, this guy is a legend for not getting up and punching all of them in the face :P

  • @xxicexxx The Dawk is a Rock, man.

  • Lol. Religion is retarded.

  • by the way lol look at the row where the muslim, the sikh and the hind are everyone's claping except them... poor guys they didn't get much of a chance to defend their views... i think they should be sitting in the main chairs aswell...

  • As a Chrisitian, I believe THEY should leave unfactual theories of evolution out of classrooms. If THEY want to teach their fairytale evolution, then creationism should have it's place in classrooms too. It is biased and unfair to teach one side of anything. So if they want to continue teaching evolution, they should also teach creationism and let the students decide with their God-given freedom of will.

    Peace. God Bless.

  • @cuppercakeful To call evolution "unfactual", particularly when using this word in contrast to creationism, is absolutely ill-informed. Evolution is at the at the core of all fields in modern biology. Indeed, many would argue that it is in fact the most factual element of the entirety of the life sciences. I believe you've run into this debate with your hands on your ears and your head in a perpetual swing 'no, no, no', and as a result, have run dead-smack into the obstacle we call reason.

  • @cuppercakeful Difference is we can observe evolution (one example is bacteria becoming resistant to medicines) and not creationism.

  • @cuppercakeful You do realize that there is a TON of evidence for evolution, and very little (if any) evidence for creationism.

  • @cuppercakeful Unfactual theories of evolution? My friend... evolution is not considered a theory anymore... its considered a fact. There's SO much evidence of evolution, maybe you don't know about them, if so you are ignorant, and you should do a "BIT" of research. And if you're a creationist and you just choose to ignore FACTS then you're both ignorant and an idiot.

    Peace. And godLess.

PS: I'm not just saying random things, evolution is indeed a fact... go study, you disapoint me as a human

  • @cuppercakeful Sounds like you didn't learn enough about evolution in school... probably because you had creationism rammed down your throat and to never challenge it.

Teaching creationism alongside scientific subjects is like teaching alchemy alongside chemistry.

  • You Lost.

    ^_^

  • So let me get this straight, in Islamic states they are legally obliged to kill those who speak or act against their religion, even if only children?

Surely such brainwashing and manipulating fear is against all things humanitarian, including equal rights... and just plain wrong.

Why would a god... or a higher, more divine spirit allow such evil to occur?

I'd dare say because there simply isn't one.

  • @GonnaDoABarrelRoll or maybe he does exist but he's a douche bag, or a power less deity. being an atheist I dont believe but I am always open to the possibility. maybe there is a god, how awsome would that be? if he was nice and all that ... imagine a heaven that would be awsoem too.... ahhhh eternal paradise.... but if it's the christian god i don't think many will get there with all the lying and glutony ,etc ... mehhh

  • "I now knight you, Sir RIchard Dorkins... rise good dork!"

  • 5:15: "The woman in the middle row here, you may still be at school I don't know" Well considering she's wearing a school uniform I'd say it's somewhat obvious. But in all seriousness this is a really good debate.

  • Education needs to be presented in a factual view, without bias from religion or any belief system. This still leaves room for discussion however.

  • Let Dawkins speak!!!

  • it's interesting the catholics all say they are free to have any view point yet only the students who share their viewpoint were brought here.

  • @PrincessGarnet85 yes just pre primed then trotted out like good little soldiers lol

  • Death penalty?? aahh!!!! Faking religius people!!

  • Good on Ms. Stark at around 4:50 for chiming in with a reminder of the big picture and that bickering over homosexuality and women's rights as religions do is entirely irrelevant in 21st century Britain.

  • @Hrrothgar We should be very glad that they are allowed to voice their opinions and challenge what is currently accepted; it's that very same right to voice an opinion that made the rights of women and homosexuality accepted in the first place.

While I sincerely hope anti-women/homosexual opinions never again gain majority support I strongly defend their right to have and express those opinions, so that I may also have the right to have my own opinions.

  • @Rethus99 We don't allow people to hold an alternative view on murder where they think it's not a bad thing at all, we don't allow people to believe that rape is acceptable. Sorry but while we should allow people to think and say what they feel on most moral issues there are some things that are just plain bad and absolute homophobia and sexism are amongst them. Allowing people to express these beliefs on television is harmful.

  • @youareforeverlost I completely agree with you but would say that people DO have the right to believe murder or rape is okay. If they do hold beliefs of that caliber then their moral, ethical and intellectual faculties must come into question. Like you, I believe that would also hold true on the issue of homophobia and sexism. People with discriminatory views should not be allowed to influence their views upon children, which is exactly what religious schools do, despite what they say.

  • @Hrrothgar "you lost" i think i'm in love

  • Generally i thought this debate was great. From a background based on scientific truth and being comfortable with not knowing anything i thought the way that the religious people realy built up their statements was wel. Though i disagree with them it does give a great base of information to understand the other arguments on.

  • wait.... seems like ppl think that democracy is about making everyone think in one way... that is not democracy, that is majority tyranny!

this thing about abortion... it looks like that woman thinks that everyone has to support abortion just because a majority in the society supports it.... doesn't make too much sense to me...

  • wait a second..... you chose to be a rag head??? fucker

  • Any religion that kills it's former followers for leaving it is unworthy of respect...

  • 3:35

The muslim is so disgusted by the idea of apostasy that he can't even say the word.

    Apostofesy, apostofy!

  • I am not sure , but I've read some historical "Excommunication- letters" and the Catholic church writes them "in the name of all angels and saints) and possibly of "god" ... cursing the person to fry in hell describing it in a very slow, painful & sadist way. To my knowledge they never excommunicated Hitler, "a devote catholic" but they excommunicated, Copernicus and sent Giordano Bruno to burn at the stake. I wonder about the Cath's church reaction this days when they get my apostasy letter.

  • England - Tue Oct 25, 2011

    1) Lunchtime discussion on Oxford on the 'Oxford Debate'

    2) "Is God a Delusion?" lecture with panel response (unless Dawkins shows up to debate!)

Run, Dawkins, run!! Keep running from Dr. Craig, from debate. That's the best thing you can do to keep your followers.

In case you followers don't know, he's been avoiding Dr. Craig, for he... is afraid to death of debating him! LOL... Even an atheist publicly accused him of cowardice!

    Evidence: cowardice

  • "Apostafy er er apostrophe the penalty is death"

  • This debate is so frustrating. Topic always shifts just when interesting points are being made. For once I would like to see a religious debate that embraces controversy rather than quickly moving along. Religion feeds on unanswered questions. Only when you really talk about the issues (deeply, not broadly) do you start to realise how senseless it is.

  • Dawkins by name, dork by nature. Jesus rocks.

  • I just cracked up laughing at 5:15 when Jonathan Dimbleby pointed at the girl and says "....you maybe still be in school, I dont know..."

What the hell does he think she's there in uniform for? Raunchy mens party?

  • That was way too many people with too many different points for one hour of debating. I would like to see a debate with this many view points that goes on as long as it needs to. Several hours if necessary. This only went into a few issues with any depth.

  • Evading a question shows lack of character. Have the balls to say what you would othewise normally say; either homosexuality or abortion is a sin or its not. Religion has clearly made this a black and white issue, so why do believers fumble to give a coherent answer. This actually goes much further, if a certain act is considered a sin that explicitly states that the person will suffer an eternal punishment for it. Such a matter of grave importance deserves a straightforward answer, does it not?

  • @VincitOmniaVerit they pretty much have no empathy, though they like to tell themselves and others they do. so when they're talking in a public setting, they know inside themselves that they are saying something horribly wrong and therefore try to bend it into something that will look and sound good. "yes we hate all fags and they will burn for eternity, but look how much i gave to the red cross today! 20£!"

  • Great debater!

  • Oh, the censorship amuses me. In a sad way.

  • Oid Loik To Knuuw

  • When muslims are on, Dawkins are muted. Isn't that excellent ? We wouldn't want to see any harm to their sensibilities and start riots in the streets i guess.

  • richard dawkins IS god.

  • "What is the penalty for apostasy, leaving the Muslim faith?" Ans. "If it's an Islamic country, apostasy is dealt with the death penalty... What's the relevance between what happens in an Islamic country and Great Britain?" He says he doesn't see a connection. Connection: Isn't it the "TRUE" religion that is practiced in an Islamic country? If not, why not? I thought so.

  • @mehstgful No he fails to see the connection because many muslims go to Europe to escape the medieval, grotesque cultures of their own countries. You really think this girl gives a fuck about what some primitive jackass from inner afghanistan thinks of her? She's happy here in britain with her moderate muslims who believe in democracy and freedom.

  • And what do you guys expecting when you ask a woman that has been brainwashed since her birth when you ask her about her hijab?

    she is obviously saying no.

And even she wants to say something else she most definitely won't say it.

When you come from a middle-eastern country and are atheist you either have to hide it or cut your contact with all those people that are from that kind of background.

I did the later, I barely have any believer friends let alone mualim ones.

    That is suppression.

  • Should kill you as it is their God given order.

There was this case in Sweden of a highly educated Muslim family of a lawyer and doctor.

Not a religious fanatic either or anything.

The father and brother killed the sister cuz of she becoming an atheist.

we are talking about highly educated people here as I said.

or also anothee case in Sweden of a father cutting his doughter's head cuz she had a boy friend.

When cops arrive at place muslims try to protect the man and doesn't allow his arrest!

  • At best, and that is few of cases those people leaving religion are shunned and unwanted in family.

They will be suppressed by Muslim society. Since they are in a way close to these people and also are afraid to be publical about giving up Islam.

You might not know but actually in quran it says if a person turns backward to Christianity or Judaism, you should kill them it would be good.

But if they go forward to religions after that or. Be an infidel then you must be killed and all the Muslims..

  • I'm just gonna clear something here if there is any dumb nut among the people watching this clip about that douche (probably paki) mullah asking what does R.D.'s question about apostasy does have to do with U.K.

    It has everything to do.

You guys might not understand but child abuse is something normal to around 90% of these people.

They abuse their child if she/he refuses to follow their religious rules, it has everything to do with UK cuz of what miryam said.

    Doughters being actually killed.

  • @wow1371 Thanks but no thanks for your racist comments. Atheists are trying to take the country forward, not backwards.

  • @whiteholedy88 hahahahahaha

Racist? You are just ignorant of Islam and its teachings.

And the best part is that you call me racist against my own race

  • @wow1371 I am ignorant of most fiction, unfortunately I am not ignorant of this fiction you believe. How many third world countries have you been to and seen the effects of religion? I'll take a stab at none, definitely not as many as me if you still hold your fiction dearly.

  • @wow1371 I am ignorant of most fiction, unfortunately I am not ignorant of this fiction you believe. How many third world countries have you been to and seen the effects of religion? I'll take a stab at none, definitely not as many as me if you still hold your fiction dearly.

  • @whiteholedy88 you know why i delayed response to you with one month? because i wanted to go and visit a couple of middle eastern countries.... eh no, bzzzzzzzt!

i am from middle east smart ass.

    I mentioned that before.

I have been to a few of them.

so, yeah, even the United Arab Emirates that is a tourist magnet and YADAYADAYADA, underneath is as annoying and backward as other countries in the area

  • @wow1371 I never said that you hadn't been to a Middle-Eastern country or even mentioned them, there is a distinct difference between a Third World country and a Middle-Eastern country. Your arguments are asinine.

  • @jimmy fix,a cheetah can only run fast for 30 to 40 seconds. Most of the time the prey escapes.

  • OMG i was very looking forward to Richard Dawkins pwning that Muslim man on the subject of leaving the religion of Islam.

  • <3 Dawkins

  • Kat Stark is srsly fugly, sorry Kat :(

  • I firmly believe in the one true God. By the way I'm a Catholic. I believe in life after dead and hence my duty as a parent to teach my offsprings who Jesus is and why the Father; for he so love the world, sent down his only Son to live amongst us men to be humiliated, suffer and die on the cross as a final sacrifice, so that those who seek his truth will share His Heavenly Kingdom. For those who disbelieve, the choice is theirs. We pray that may the Lord show them the truth. God Bless.

  • Oh, her name is Ilaff

  • cool debate yo

  • @jiminiflix nope

  • 3:07 yeah it totally does NOT prevent you from choosing another religion. it's a mere coincidence that you've chosen the same religion, that was brought on to you by your parents out of hundreds of other mainstream religions. COMPLETE COINCIDENCE... and she's completely ignorant of that fact as well, which if fucking unbelievable...

  • And evolution is a lie.

  • @jiminiflix can't tell if troll or just insanely stupid. i can't even be bothered to face palm to you, you are not worthy of that privilege cos you're that moronic.

  • @atonement19 Its certainly not truth. Its not a scientific fact or scientifically possible. What it is is mass brainwashing and the pinacle example of global deception. But science is actually proving it more and more impossible each decade. Who is the troll here, I certainly am not being abusive like you. I simple state the fact. You would never say that to my face.

  • @jiminiflix are you still talking about evolution? or religion? what is it you are referring to as the pinacle of global deception?

  • @atonement19 Evolution is a scientific joke and the pinacle example of global deception.

  • @jiminiflix Well Mr.Einstein if your so smart why don't you enlighten us as too what a miniature pinscher is? Your throwing deception around like it was a magical incantation :\. "lets just wave the deception wand and POOF! all physical evidence too support evolution just magically disappears derp derp" The difference between me and you is I can actually provide physical evidence too support my claims, that's why people with more then a high school education respect them /watch?v=Nmkj5gq1cQU

  • @Deeredman4 I watched your video, it was quite interesting. Its almost funny how man calls selective breeding, "natural" selection. Those cows look abnormal to me.

Well that video is about breeding. Its NOT macro evolution which is what I am referring to.Macroevolutionary studies focus on change that occurs at or above the level of species. This has yet to be proven but has not. As man has tried to change species through unnatural breeding, changes have failedm sterile or death.

  • @jiminiflix firstly of all selective breeding is proof of evolution, it doesn't matter if it happened in nature or not the point is that the animals EVOLVED over a period of time and if it can happen under controlled conditions it is possible that it happened in nature. Here is another point, If evolution is false and some wizard did bring everyone into existence, then why do we not find 100,000 year old fossils of dogs(and remember not to confuse dire wolves with dogs when your looking this up)

  • @Deeredman4 Why do you have '40 million' year old fossils that have not changed to todays creatures? If life was not created, as God has told us I am a fool. But you believe we all came from nothing and that design and information comes from nothing, which breaks your own scientic laws. As life has always needed life to exist, plus all the elements , as Genesis describes, you on the other hand believe everything on earth came from a cell (too complex for man to replicate) yet able to just appear

  • @jiminiflix firstly "God" didn't tell you shit...A book told you...a book that has been copied millions and millions of times with 30,000 mistakes(that actually matter) between known copies...who says something came from nothing breaks scientific law? read some of hawking's new theories...we can't replicate a cell? /watch?v=ZeIYWROvPqg and your wrong the min pin is made by breeding the "runts" of the litter until they are small dogs...I know several dog breeders :\

  • @Deeredman4 First you're just a hypocrite. You read about and have been educated by some other brainwashed person about evolution from a theory thats ony 150 years old has fraudulently lied over the years and changed truths continuously. Second I have no idea where you read on the net 30,000 mistakes. Thats the first I have heard that in 30 years as a christian. I have studied it for 25 years and I think I would have noticed a contradiction. Those accusations are made by uneducated athiests.

  • @Deeredman4 I also watched the video on man replicating a cell. What does that mean at all for evolution? First they didn't make the cell from nothing, they claim the cell had no parents, the dna was arranged by a computer, they added the chemicals and its started replicating.. great did it evolve? Was that a natural evolutionary change? No COMPLEX research & MASSIVE information was needed to achieve that. How can you explain ALL life evolving by chance and just lots of time without intellience?

  • @jiminiflix ummm I showed you the video on the cell because you were falsely claiming that we cannot create a single celled organism :|..."How can you explain ALL life evolving by chance and just lots of time without intellience?" evolution explains that perfectly :|...survival of the fittest sort of scenario...cheetah's aren't fast because God made them that way...cheetah's are fast because all the slow ones died out before they got a chance too breed :| do you even know how evolutions works?

  • @Deeredman4 Survival of the fittest is a fact I agree, but its not in any way an explanation of WHY a cheetah is fast. Is that science?. In your oppinion if the Cheetahs prey were only slow then the cheetah would become a slower creature and would genetically change. Have we seen this occur ? It reminds me of the story of how giraffes got long necks...do you have a perspective on that?

  • @jiminiflix Ya know what...lets just agree too disagree...I am tired of explaining shit you can clearly see by going too any museum worth it's weight :|...If you REALLY wanted the truth you would have watched my videos...I am starting too get the impression that even if I built a time machine and took you back in time and showed you a single cell giving birth too every species on the planet you would still be saying "This in no way proves evolution."

  • @Deeredman4 There is variation in species which is natural, as God made it to be. Man breeding dogs or horses or cows is not natural so it's not a natural evolutionary step. The point I have tried to explain to you is that a mindless discourse will always produce an unintelligent outcome. Remove intellience and you have no explanation for information. Intelligence is not an accidental phenomenon, but must have been designed by intelligence. A cheetah is intelligently designed for a purpose .

  • @jiminiflix and the point that I am trying to explain is that it is not intelligent design. It is done through trial and error...but on a side note I would like to apologize for my behavior over the past few messages while I still do not agree that intelligent design is factual, it was wrong of me to use ad hominem attacks too support my case, I am sorry :)

  • @Deeredman4 Thats fine .

  • @Deeredman4 Quote "Breeders eliminate unwanted genes making domesticated forms genetically poorer. These are usually helpless in nature and perish when left without human help. If not, this is due to quick inter-breeding with wild forms that replenish the gene pool. The breeder pools certain rare genes into one individual or population to achieve the desired combination of traits. Nothing new is produced." Professor of Professor of Genetics; Maciej Giertych

  • @jiminiflix "changes have failedm sterile or death." really...well my cousins own a miniature pinscher and she seems too be perfectly healthy and is now 9 years old...wow...I guess she doesn't exist :| the only reason evolution is still a "theory" is because it offends creationist :\...plain and simple...and creationist will create all kinds of fallacious arguments and "technicalities" to claim it is theory when in reality this much evidence would normally justify any "theory" as fact :|

  • @Deeredman4 Well I think you are confused between planned breeding and evolution. WHat's your point?

So can you prove to me dogs are evolving into another kind of species of creature? Is that your point? What I was referring to was man trying to breed different kinds of species of creature together. The miniture pinscher is still a dog by the way.

  • @jiminiflix "Evolutin:The process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the earth" now go look up how tall the mummies were from ancient Egypt and then compare that too the height of an average person today and THEN tell me Evolution doesn't exist...I wish you would just STFU you have no fucking clue what your talking about your just spouting off some shit your fallacious pastor told you :\

  • @jiminiflix ya know, this debate actually got me thinking...and I have too thank you...because you gave me another argument too show Christians how ignorant they are and that argument is lets say "hypothetically" that evolution doesn't have a shred of evidence too back it up...why is it ok to apply scientific inquiry too evolution but its not ok too apply scientific inquiry too their God? I mean by the christian logic my theory shouldn't need any more proof then yours :|...WTF Christians :|

  • @Deeredman4 You don't need to be a creationist to not trust evolution. Science itself does not 100% confirm your theory. If the fossil records were proof one might wonder, if dna was 100 % self evident for evolution one may be a fool to not agree, but if evolution was observable and testable and you didn't agree with the theory I would be the first to call you illogical. As I don't see any of these tests in agreement with each other, I don't believe I am the illogical one.

  • @jiminiflix Evolution is a fact. You should wiki evolution:)

  • Sir Richard Dawkins sounds good, the queen should do it, he is already a living legend!

  • It's just too heavily edited. I'm sure there was quite a bit of debate.

  • I wish the discussions went more in depth. I wanted to hear more on Dawkins and the Islamic guy, but the host cuts them off. Not much of a debate.

  • this debate sucks. except for the part about apostacy no one made anyastrong points. i can only assume that they were trying to keep from offending each other. in a real debate with no emotion held back we would see several death threats from the muslums, a few "you will burn in hell for your herecy!!"s from the christians and the athiests would be insulting the intelligence of the theists. "sigh" curse political correctness.

  • @werewolf873 Dawkins seems like the only one who was willing to give up some of his reserve to make a good point.

  • An intelligent discusion about religion with the faithful is an oxymoron.

  • I love how the girl told her "you lost" in the abortion debate at 4:50

  • @helsaint I want to marry her.

  • ask the muslim teacher what would be his schools response to gay students, and we'd quickly see who the extremists are....

  • @pregnantketchup not really, my friend and i went to a muslim school and when i found out he was gay, the school supported him quite well...now he has children and loving wife

  • My christian school showed us when we were about 14 years old video of abortion at its worst (at very late pregnancy), that included pictures of killed babies in buckets that were thrown away. I am so happy I realized that it was wrong and am now religion-free.

  • NO CONCLUSION WHATSOEVER! WTF? :))

  • Dawkins finally got the muslim guy to admit that the penalty for apostasy in Islam is death. I loved watching him finally draw it out of the muslim guys mouth. Otherwise, a very mediocre debate.

  • Throughout history, how many Crusades were fought in the name of God? How many millions died because of someone’s RELIGION?

That it was fanaticism or extremism is merely an argument in semantics. But the fact remains; they’re all still DEAD!

I cannot have confidence in the doctrines of organized faiths that are fundamentally responsible for the world’s worst and most prolific Evil, Death and Destruction.

I am a rational empiricist, believing in Science & Music... I have no use for religion…

  • @DoctorAxe they shouId learn history first so that before they learn their faiths, they see from facts how dangerous religion really is.

  • "You're never pressured into believing the Catholic faith." That's a complete lie, iv'e been to a Catholic school in England and they forced Catholicism down your throat and were intent on converting children to their faith. Argue against it all you can, I know what I have seen.

  • Why can't Dr Lickadamn, or whatever his name is, just admit that apostasy from the Muslim religion stand as a testament of how cruel and hateful the Koran tells them to be, and how they in fact contradict themselves when they say they are peaceful. Their holy scripture support murder, how can you possibly defend that?

His argumentation always ends up with, "oh that doesn't have to do with what I'm saying", "You're not a Muslim, so you're wrong", "We're great, we know best"

    Hypocrisy.
