Yeah real awesome campaign AI, I just fucking love when Dagestan declares war on me as Russia and tries to take some city's. But nice though because you crush them with no effort and get a free city.

my computer runs it i got an hp pavillon desktop with navidia 9700 upgrade and it cost me 400 buks i can play everything on ultra guys its agood game but coulda been better to me if they went this all out could of atleast had an orgistra to make music for them the music blows theres one song for battle one song for the map and everone cant get past the 132 turn or the 174th turn and ai is challenging but they dont invade by dropping armies by ship i think all total wars had that problem

It is an exceptional game, or rather, it has the potential to be. It has so many God Damn bugs, it isn't even worth playing. It's been out since March 3, and they've already released 2 patches. This would've been great, if it was released in June. Fuck SEGA, fuck Creative Assembly, and, most of all, FUCK STEAM!

I am having problems running Empire because my processor is .2 Ghz lower than the minimal settings and when i first tried to install it the system crashed and I had to restart everything and re-install it and it worked. Am I going to give the game a shit rating because of ONE FUCKING FAULT that can be easily ignored with a bit of patience? No. This game is a perfect example of what Creative Assembly can do. Those who are dissing it just because of Steam need to grow the fuck up!
ok Sea battles look brilliant but playability was serriously not fun. Land battles need a cavaly charge just to get them moving it takes 3 hours just to break a line then all ur units start "wavering" u dont know how to make them not waver and they run. The one thing that pissed me of the most was the cammera controlls it never goes where u want it fast enough. also everyone looks alike , i thought we moved passed that , also it takes 3 minutes for a turn in the first turn of the game, hold off

That's the beauty of MODS. You could only play play around less than half factions in rome but mods changed that. Besides the non-playable factions don't look too interesting.

I tried the demo a while ago and I was kinda disapointed. It does have nice graphics and effects but it doesnt have enough factions and units. The sea battles were an awesome add and i did enjoy sinking the enemies. This game is based on more "modern" warfare than on the other total war games. If you like the 1700-1800's warfare, its the right game for you. Tho I'd still go for Medieval 2. (probably cuz I like middle age stuff more :P)

When i said tactics i meant for a field commander. most of the "fun" tactics in modern war are for the squad commanders. All the field tactics are taken away because you have all these modern things like long range snipers, off map artillery which take away the fun of taking the enemy head on.

No, because then the Americas would have been in WW2 from the start, preventing them from having the economic boom that they did, which, inevitably led to the fast food industries. But I am sure as hell happy the US is as it is now, because the world would be much shittier without them, tbh. :/

You have to unlock it by finishing Road To Independence campaign. But you won't start at 1700.

I tried the demo a while ago and I was kinda disapointed. It does have nice graphics and effects but it doesnt have enough factions and units. The sea battles were an awesome add and i did enjoy sinking the enemies. This game is based on more "modern" warfare than on the other total war games. If you like the 1700-1800's warfare, its the right game for you. Tho I'd still go for Medieval 2. (probably cuz I like middle age stuff more :P)

Im not sure.I am terrible with knowing the diffrent computer parts my friend helped me put it together a few years ago.But i bought a new graphics card a few month ago though.he said it was the best graphics card that i could use to the proccesor which is in the computer,Sapphire Hd3650 .
Then i know that i have 1 gig ram.
Besides that i have no idea.

no shit sherlock! xD i know its a demo, i did play the rome demo when it came out i know what i was waiting for, i mean the game its self, i know the era it was set and i know what it was going to envole, but its just not my cup of tea this era and style of fighting.. and i think it would of been better if they would of used the medevil game engine, i dont like the graphics on this one (believe it or not) Hahaa xD

You can tell its a good game because of how enthusiastic he is about it. I rekon the expansion will also be africa and the Boar wars (Bour, boar?) or maybe Australia although not much happend over there as far as I know.

This game is an exciting prospect, I just hope that the designers hav'nt though too far ahead in the graphics department, as I don't want to end up buying it and having shitty graphics and un-rendered edges because It was too sticky and slow on the high GP.

maybe not huge war tactics; but there is tactics.
only thing is; it's broken down into squads; so it probably won't appeal to most total war fans...

When i said tactics i meant for a field commander. most of the "fun" tactics in modern war are for the squad commanders. All the field tactics are taken away because you have all these modern things like long range snipers, off map artillery which take away the fun of taking the enemy head on.
