Hey glamourx95 nice try at sounding like you know what you are talking about. This song was written in 1944 by vocalist Mel Torme and Bob Wells. It was written during at very hot summer and took these two gentlemen 40 minutes to compose. Mel Torme wrote all of the music and some of the lyrics. Mel Torme recorded it in 1944. Nat King Cole didn't record it until 1946.
