  • Holy shit. That is crazy how it pulls up all the colors

  • Impressive. It's like watching an artist working with paints, brush and paper!

  • that ribbon looks like a 70's t-shirt from the US. I remember when this was state of the art... "but we need a colour dot matrix!". that and scanners slid by hand

  • 1:42

  • Must have been expensive back then ;-)

  • @xvp2k7 Our Star LC-20 (comparable spec to the Citizen Swift) was a princely £299.95 that year... which adjusted for inflation etc is probably what you'd pay for a good quality colour laser now, or a business class A3-size inkjet. Output wasn't really so great and colour ribbons were pricey, but it was about as good colour as you could get, except for the REALLY costly 24-pins or naff first-gen inkjets, without employing a typesetting service...

(NB the computer it was used with cost about £200)

  • Very musical!

  • Wow thats faster than my epson. Does it do borderless?

  • wow its a color dot matirx?

  • I had a colour one too, a STAR LC 24/30 and it could do up to 256 colours!

(And it actually was as well! I printed off the Windows 95 logo which was 256 colour and it looked great, the colours were spot on!)

  • @DRNEGOLICIS never seen one before? :)
