  • Three amazingly talented people, that just couldn't coexist on the stage. Magic when they did. You 3 ought to reunite for a short period and see how much of a BANG you made.

  • Howard was so stuck on himself period!!!

  • I wish we had more bands like Shalamar nowadays!!

  • It's too bad they weren't friendly at the end. Jeffrey said Howard thought he was "The lead singer" and he and Jody were just backup. They all 3 played a part in making the group a success. I loved this group. The replacements were just not the same. Jody was so damn good.

  • What the hell is the deal with those two boats racing... they aren't getting away thats for sure.. all they do is go around in circles....

  • @hm

dont get me wrong hh' is a gr8 singer - just he had a personality bypass

'sorta admitted' u mean he was saying he was an ass hole

    ye i d beleive that

call me stupid or naieve but i just saw 3 singers and thought the 'band' was theres

i d know idea that in 'music' there were 'made up' bands and more like bucks fizz than more 'credible' [lol] bands

dick griffey it seems always thought that J+J were just 'fluff' and would only be taken seriously if there were a 'proper' singer in the line up

  • @MURPHNSPUD Yep, Dick Griffey was a juiceman jr. pyramid empire squeezing jody and jeffrey's credible worth.

  • Thanks for posting, Jody Watley, Amazing As Ever

  • The last performance with the classic line-up

  • Wow...I really thought he was a cool guy...!! Shame !

  • i met him just after jody n jeff had left

    little did i know

    twas the 'new' line up

the other 2 were slightly nearer planet normal

but he was just a wanker

    'no autographs'

    ye right

  • @MURPHNSPUD I believe Hewitt kind of admitted he had his head up his butt back then on the "Unsung" episode in 2009. But hey, many of those groups got caught up in internal rubbish and destroyed what success they had. Shalamar is a great example of that. Just together 4 years; they could've done so much more...

  • Dead Giveaway was a killa.'

  • Hewett has great vocals

  • howard hewitt i met him

    wot a tit

  • Ha Ha I can just imagine ;)

  • You mean he wasn't cool (or rather he was hot) ...?!...

  • Summer of 83 was great!

  • no. that IS jody watley. look again.

  • i know they was having badd issues then and jeffrey and jody broke off about this time but they seem really happy here

  • wow dead giveaway is so beautiful i just downloaded it i never heard it before thats my style of music

  • nah all three here were the original 3, miki and delissa came after this unit were no more only howard was left, mike and delissa came on board in 85

  • Wow! Brilliant. Thanks alot. Shame that they never were big in the USA. Howard Hewitt- most underated R&B singer.

  • Yes they were, actually. They were especially popular among the R&B/Funk audiences here in the States. In fact, Jody and Jeff got their start on Soul Train, and things took off from there.

  • They were huge in the us where you been lol

  • Aah,friday nights watching the Tube. I remember this one well as it must have been about 25 degrees even though it was 7pm!
