Thats not a fake...it is an object coming down from space through the atmosphere. Could be space trash or a meteor. Still, an interesting observance, you had luck with seeing this, its like a falling star on daylight.

Course its fake! 1) the clip is only 5 seconds long. Don't you think that if it was a 'UFO' you would instinctively continue film for longer? 2) the object seems to be flying in a completely horizontal line similar to a plane, whereas meteors etc and space junk falling to earth do so at an incline. 3) this object would have to be HUGE, way too big for space junk. It looks like an edited video of a plane flying over a street; the actual plane has been doctored/changed but the smoke trail is real.

I'm suspicous of the footage because the Smoke doesn't stay still in the smoke trail.. It moves to the left also.

Either way it's not an ETV, could be just a satelite crashing but is unlikely it would have gone over Melbourne and not be noticed by the Media.

I do not understand enough of the physics around smoke to know how it should behave. I know what I saw, and you can chose to believe it or not.

Chances are it was a meteor, and we get these in Melbourne all the time. They get called shooting stars etc. This one just seemed a little low.
