Human populations are increasing globally and if we continue to use up all the resources and pollute the planet, not just the atmosphere; we are going to have an impact. You cannot use up a limited amount of resources and not expect there to be repercussions.
Regardless if you believe the hype; why are you so against renewable resources and making an attempt to create a cleaner environment? I don't get it, everyone benefits.

The NAS (in existance since 1850, 2,200 members over 200 of which are Nobel laureate, publisher of the journal Nature) and AAAS (in existence since 1880, over 120,000 members, publisher of the journal Science), which are the some of most long standing and arguably the most respected scientific institutions on the planet both released statements saying that Climate Change is real and we are the ones responsible. Don't believe me? Google "aaas board statement climage change" and
"joint academies statement". These are hardly fringe groups, they are roughly the equivalent to general science what the American Medical Association is for doctors. It's pretty unusual for organizations like these to come out and make statements like these and they make sure that they are as close to totally sure as they can be. As far as "a leftist criminal conspiracy" conspiracy theories are almost always fringe, that doesn't mean they can't be correct but without proof they don't hold water.
The Heartland Institute has some great reading....

So your telling me that a thinktank with a stated political agenda is more reliable than a neutral and highly respected scientific body? If your going to cite stuff from the Heartland Institute I could just as easily go and cite stuff from Greenpeace, the Serra Club, or the Wilderness Defense Fund. While their research isn't worthless it's not neutral as they have an agenda they are trying to accomplish and therefore it less credible than neutral orginizations.
Maybe next year we'll have an International Day of Computer Swap! Basically, we'll take away computers from anyone in the first world with an IQ below 50 and give to anyone in the third world with an IQ above 50! What do you think?
