heh, I really don't remember what I was doing in that video. Those were some of my first attempts at doing it. These days, I usually just do them in 2nd gear with just power, no clutch. Though I don't do that sorta stuff nearly as often anymore, sorta grew out of it or something, lol
I have a 99 VFR and while getting it up isnt easy, it isnt terribly difficult either. It takes a little practice, but isnt really any harder to wheelie than my 05 cbr. I always accredited it to being a heavier bike than the cbr but who knows. As for the "outrunning the cops" comment ( hehe) just so ny fellow vfr buffs know, I raced a couple buddies of mine yesterday; I blew my friends 07 R6 out of the water and kept uo with a busa til about 180, but he might have just been toying with me :)
I'd rather not, as I actually go on long rides and enjoy not being bent over for hundreds of miles at a time ;) Besides, the point of the clip is to demonstrate that a VFR can indeed do it.
Funny you say that, I have a K4 Gixxer 1000 and an 01 VFR, the VFR is more comfy and can wheelie just as good. The VFR is a better around town and touring bike which is why i bought the fucker. The Gixxer thou is my outrun the cops toy ;) Oh track hack as well...

I'm on a 99 and I've been trying to get the front up but it just won't! Are these clutch or power wheelies in the video?

as a fellow VFR rider, i can attest that it isn't easy. Never really wheelie on mine unless I'm pushing it.

hehe, that video is from the early 06 riding season. Although not at all the ideal vehicle, the VFR can ride on one wheel for a good deal of time :)
