  • I was lucky enough to see and play this game last year at California Extreme. I hope they bring it back again this year.

Shame it's basically impossible to find/buy now. Would love to own this game.

  • You were so lucky getting your hands on that game! I can't find it anywhere to purchase! Ebay you said? Geez.... They must have really been limited

  • Yeah finding it for purchase will be next to impossible now, from what I was told they only sold about 10-12 units. 40 were made but most went to the dev team for the project. They were going to release it to consoles but that fell through and the company folded. I'm not sure how much they will go for right now but if it becomes well-known it will probably become quite valued.

  • Heck yeah it will be valued BIG TIME! Hey! Good luck and I wish you success with your arcade!

  • played it at cax right now

  • So you bought it on Ebay... But in wich form? It is a CD-ROM for Pc? Or a Jamma?

  • It came as a PC (Linux-based) with the game itself pre-loaded onto the hard drive. The PC does have a JAMMA board integrated into it as an I/O board but it is not required for use. It also came with a CD to reload the game if necessary.

  • Great stuff, i think it's very rare.

Do you know how many prototypes like this there are?

  • 40 total were made but of those a majority were sold to members of the development team that spent six years working on the project. I think between 8-12 were actually sold to the public, 15 at the most as they have sold a couple of the test location cabinets. I would have liked one of those but it got expensive quick with those auctions. So yes, very rare indeed :)

  • which company made this game?

  • Cecropia. Last I checked they were going to do the same style of game using flash.

I have a new video of The Act up now where it's inside an actual cabinet.

  • What area of Utah? Please please please say northern! :D

  • West Valley City is where I am likely to open up. I had been hoping to be open by now but the process in working with the owners of the strip mall has taken longer than I thought. At the moment it appears I'll be opening by the end of February/early March. :)

  • BTW- I am open now so you can come by and check it out, it's at the Valley Fair Mall right next to the Red Robin restaurant.

  • wait which store?

  • The Game Grid Arcade. There is a banner in the window, we're still waiting on a sign, we are where the old Beehive Clothing store used to be (outside entrance).

  • oh cool i'll check it out. never knew there was a arcade at that mall.

  • oh wait wait wait never mind...

i just checked your website and its in UTAH not San Jose, CA. :( same mall name as here. guess I can't check it out. Good Luck with your arcade business. hope it surives in this time and age.

  • Yeah, the mall name is somewhat generic. I think I've heard that there are a few other malls with the same name.

As for surviving, I hope that I do as well, while things have been slow getting started, they are slowly picking up.

  • COOL, this looks like a very cool arcade game

  • yeah it does. very unlikly I'll ever play it though :( I hope that it gets dumped on mame at the very least.

  • ummm you mean daphne? :) this game will work better on daphne.
