I remember when they showed us this in school! And the day they filmed it, those girls were walking around still covered in fake blood for the rest of their classes. (One told me that it was impossible to wash it all off in a school bathroom). I do know that some people didn't drink that night just because of this video, so that proves that it works!
I am a volunteer fire fighter and I know what it's like. You can never get enough training so we can maybe save jerks like that. They are the first people to start yelling when they need to call people like us.
Don't get me wrong, 99% of the people respect what we do. That jerk is in the 1% that doesn't get it.
I just hope that when he drives his car off the road he doesn't hurt innocent people.
Excuse me, learning to save lives is a waste of time to you. Dude, hope your car is the car that hit's a tree someday and not into an ennocent person.
p.s. - They did this bullshit at my highschool in 2003. During the course of classes, they'd play a heart beat over the intercom, and grab some stupid fucking jock, or cheerleader. There lame parents would do a fake eulogy, and then they'd do this accident. L-A-M-E.
I don't mind if an idiot is driving drunk, crashes and kills themselves. When they kill other smart, and inteligent people that help further out society...then it sucks. Dumb people should be killed off. Natural Selection.
umm excuse me, this is to teach teens not to drink and drive, and this was done at the High School..plus...these are VOLUNTEERS!!! i think saving a few lives are well worth your tax dollars....
I do understand your point but there is no one watching this. They are video taping but the video is never shown to students. The only thing they see is a chopped up car placed in front of the school. Trust me when I say that this did not stop anyone who was drinking from driving. Good try though!
this was shown to the whole school 2 times prior to prom, and yes i know there were people who were still going to drink and drive, but if we can change the mind of just one person then it was good, and since i was one of the 2 that filmed this, the only cost to the taxpayers, was the gas to get the trucks there and back
And are you qualified to save people in case of an emergency? Training is an important part of saving lives. I hope when you need the help someday you get an uneducated untrained fire fighter or emt helping you. I think you would change your opinion then.
I am a US Marine. Correct...training is important, but this exercise is 100% unnecessary. And thanks, I'm happy a VOLUNTEER fire fighter put me in my place. Bravo, go pick a fight with someone you can win against next time.
How could it possibly be unnecessary? Anything done in repetition is practice for when the real situation happens. Volunteers don't get paid for this type of practice which means it costs the taxpayers zippo! How can that possibly be bad.
And you are a marine protecting our country?????? God save us.
Read what I wrote previously...training is important. I am sure this helps the volunteers BUT this 'practice' was not targeted to help volunteers. It is to scare kids into not driking and driving: my point is that this is not preventing anything...aka unnecessary
i do believe this prevented any one from our high school of 1500 students from drinking and driving that night....i hope u never have kids if you dont see the importance in this... i mean damn im a teenager and i can even understand what this is preventing....
um, how is it now neccessary? if it saves a life when the high school does operation prom to let teens know the dangers of drinking and driving. they do this for many schools and if it saves lives due to a good presentation then cutting up a cars worth it. FIREFIGHTERS FTW. marines rule too!

What a waste of my tax dollars. Why aren't they doing their job instead of acting out pointless skits?
