@bannanaiscool I ended up liking orgo FAR more than gen chem. I ended up getting an A in college and I SUCKED at chemistry. The main thing that I found helpful to realize is that all of orgo can be broken down into a a handful of key concepts such as resonance, electronegativity, sterics, etc. Once I understood these ideas it was just the same concepts applied slightly differently.

There's no Organic Chemistry 2, 3, 6, 7, etc. You seem to explain things well, but the organization of these videos could be a lot better, for example, have you seen how Salman Kahn has his videos set up on his website? Everything is listed in a logical order or by topic name. Unfortunately I don't see anything for Organic Chemsitry from Salman Kahn.

you probably receive these kinds of messages all the time, but ill say it anyways. You sir are an amazing teacher. Your youtube video's helped me through college chem 1 and 2 when I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. Well now with my new major I am going to be taking organic chemistry in the fall. I was checking your website to buy an organic chem collection but all i see is the general chemistry lectures.

@jkrobertson88 Okay, but what that does is, calculating the mo-lar ma-sss. Now what does that mean? If I have one pound of bricks, and one pound of feathers, how many eggs do I have? You have to use the mo-lar ratio. Now what that means is, moles are a unit of how much.

We just started the intro to organic chem in my general 2 class, and I'm glad I watched some of these videos about alkane nomenclature before we started this chapter! :)

I'm almost done with Orgo 1 and and taking Orgo 2 in the fall. Will your videos cover material that is in Organic 2 or is it just for introductory Organic Chemistry?

I've told all my friends about you and I'm currently taking the online lessons for organic chemistry. I used to LOATHE organic chemistry. Not anymore. I'm probably gonna get through to medical school now.
I live in India and I barely understand my teachers which has cost me alot of marks. Alot of marks over the past 4 years.
Now I finally know the concepts.

@MrWookiemonster I would cry the day that someone passes on to medical school by watching a few youtube videos. Get some initiative and read some books!!! With that said, watching these videos in tandem with heavy studying is a great idea. You just make it seem that because you watch these videos, wala im going to get a Ph. D.

It's pretty wrong for someone to jump to conclusions. You're trying to say that I haven't read a book and I surf youtube for help? You are very very wrong. It's sad that Youtube have people like you who can pass their judgement on people they don't even know. FYI I have worked very hard and I had difficulties with OC especially. Is it wrong to say that an online chemistry tutorial helped me?
So cry all you want. I get great marks. Enough said.

Hey! I liked you better with your moustache back when I was 13 years of age. IT was the first time I came to know about you(courtesy of my friend who is an all-India topper, absolute genius really, but strangely... ....definitely not a nerd)
And It's been like a year since then AND terribly, now that I'm in tenth standard I truely need your help.
Funny thing is back then my mom used to tell me that I don't study and play games and all and why I don't use the net for something constructive.....
