My child also participated in pageants. Look how much this child enjoyed what she was doing and all the wonderful memories she has of time spent with her mother doing what they enjoyed. My child is now a beautiful 20 year old girl in her 2nd year of college. Pageants gave her confidence and we still talk about how much fun we had just the 2 of us traveling all over the country. The trophies and crowns might be tarnished and dusty but we still have our memories. God bless Swan's mother.

Its sick because every pageant show i have seen on tv and cable when the interviewer ask the girls do you really want to be here do you really want to do pageants , the first thing they do before they anwer is look at ttheir moms. Like to ask them what should i say because they cant say no.

Living dolls is the best documentary about child pageants even though it is very sad it highlights what they are really like. Leslie Butler was clearly from a well of family, her dads could afford the expensive clothes and make-up and there fore she won many titles. Swan on the other hand was from a poorer family. Who mother worked 3 jobs just to keep her in them and even then she bought 2nd hand clothes. Its the harsh reality that is Child beauty pageants!

Im in a pageant, and i love it! i have almost perfect teeth, so i don't need fake teeth. i have a natural tan, big long eyelahses, and blush! And so i just need some lip stick and gloss and my hair and the dresses, etc. I LOVE PAGEANTS!

JonBenet was a beautiful brunette. Did you notice her hair was almost white on Christmas day. There are toddler pictures of her with brown hair. Both of her parents had dark brown hair. All 3 of her siblings - dark brown hair. Patsy bleached it her six year olds hair platinum blonde for pagaents. You can't dispute how JonBenet was dressed like Las Vegas showgirl. Beauty Pageants are fine. And even little girl beauty pageants are fine it you can afford them. But, it can be very expensive. After Pasty died, Jon Ramsey said that he and Patsy would fight about Jon Benet being in these contests. Patsy spent a small fortune on costumes, plus dyed Jon Benet's hair. It is not my opinion that JonBenet was dressed like a Las Vegas show girl. This is a fact!! Feathers, black stockings, high heels, sequins, etc. That's Vegas, baby!!

About little Heather O' Rourke (child actress from the Poltergeist films as little Carol Ann) aww she was just a sweetie and a very cute little girl as well. And a wonderful nice and sweet kid. She did some child modeling in magazines (toys ect) and when she was 3 she was in a child pageant. So sad that little girl died she was just a Child. She just turned 12 a month before she died.
