ummm... this is retarded and absolutely inaccurate, not only inaccurate of the order but also inaccurate in definition. Some of these are not even fighter jets. Oh and for the record the most advanced are F22 Raptor & The JS-F35 Lightning II, respectively.
What, tornado is figther? It is fighter-bomber. Viggen WAS great fighter Mig-29 is old, new version Mig-35 is good. Mig-23 old, Mig-27 fighter-bomber - not designed for A-A combat, F-14 - not in air (only in Iranien AF) - expensive and trouble with engine, F-15 - F-15Silent Eagle, Mig-25 very old (should be Mig-31B (but it is not for air superiority combat - it is heavy fighter), SR-71 is not fighter You fool.
So concluion - if You dont have any idea about figther planes, go play with puppets.
@silenykralik Tornado's came in both A-A and A-G models, the Air Defense Variant, or ADV was the Tornado F-3, with the Tornado GR4 being the ground pounder. So yes, the Tornado IS a fighter and yes, it is a bomber, but it's NOT a fighter/bomber. Given the fact that your own knowledge falls short you may want to refrain from calling people fools. The poster of this video probably has little knowledge, but a great interest in military aircraft, the term 'fighter jet' is commonly used
@damo4576 FYI - Tornado is primary for low-level strike - IDS (fighter/fomber or attack plane if You want), ECR (foer SEAD mission) and ADV (F2 a F3).
Yes ADV is Fighter version, but it was designed for soviet bomber intercetion - so no fighter (mean for dog fight). In the same was projected "fighter" based on Rockwell B-1 Lancer. And it is obvious, that ability to fire AMRAAM is not sufficient for saying: yes this is best fighter plane.
@silenykralik Look at 0:55 . That's an F3, notice the longer, sleeker nosecone. My brother was in the RAF, flew Phantom FGR2's out of RAF Wattisham before they were decommissioned and the base closed, he then moved onto Tornado F3's out of Conningsby and has now taken a instructor post for his last 2 years of service.
@damo4576 I dont offend Your brother, but autor of this clip. Btw, You disagree with my opinion about Tornado, so I have no problem with my other comment, so even when I appologize about Tornado, still remaining is stupid.

@CobaltX07 Are you idiot or pretend? America could not make a plane like the "outdated" MiG-31. "outdated" MiG-29 and Su-27 (last versions) is better than any recent versions of F -15,16,18. And T-50 will be better than the F -22. How our technology may be outdated if we do better aircraft?
@ete0 Let's see. An Su-27 is not a Mig, nor is it used by NATO, so it's irrelevant to my comment. The T-50 is not in the video and hasn't been built, making it also irrelevant. The Mig-29 has had a horrible success rate at killing the F-16s and F-15s it was designed to, possibly because their operators weren't the best compared to the Russians and the Indians. You have erroneously interpreted my comment saying that these Migs shouldn't be in this video to mean "America rocks and Russia sucks."
Whaaaat the heck man ? Half of those listed are Soviet era jets which r obsolute now. These jets r of the bygone Cold war era. We r now well into the 4.5 and 5 Generation Jets stages: Su 35/37, Raffale, F-22, EuroFighter etc. to name a few.

Farfetched from reality. What happened to F-22 Raptor? Is this for real? This video rated Rasian made garbage over the USA technology. This must be some sort of a JOKE. LOL.

@ervin920 Poland,Hungary,Bulgaria and Romania are now a member of Nato and they have Migs, Although this list is very misleading when it is labled MOST ADVANCED and the Mig-23 made the list. The F/A-18, even the oldest A models are far more advanced.
Kido, why don't you read what a NATO is first before you post info, since MiGs are the one that flew against it, and belong to what called a Warsawa Bloc. No to mention that SR-71 in not a fighter jet... Get your info strait.

SA-5 Gammon, is a very long range, medium-to-high altitude surface-to-air missile (SAM) system designed to defend large areas from bomber attack or other strategic aircraft (such as the SR-71 "Blackbird").
i dont remember to talk about mig 23, SR-71 is not a fighter jet, viggen and f-14 is out of combat in nato, nato dont have mig 27 and mig 31.. Even a blind capibara know this.
@bestamerica USSR doesn't exist anymore. Also, you were speaking about continets... Russia is an Euroasian country, so I suppose it's has it's own continent so that it doesn't balong to NATO?
The USSR again: some countries that once were part of the USSR are now part of NATO. Go figure...
@agibbs98 OK, I see that it is hard to you to your source of informations. Just for you info A-12 was a prototype a predecessor of SR-71 - already operational aircraft by USAF. I've checked also military.cz and there also isn't any information about bomb bay. So please be so kind and say your source. I'm really interested in it.
Most advanced fighter jets? So where's the f-16, the fa-18 super hornet, or any of the mirage's? The list should've been longer, much longer. A+ on the soundtrack though.
mig 31 was not faster then the mig 25, nor fly as high, they built the mig 25 to respond to the SR 71, mig 25 could hold mach 3.13 for 20 min before she had to shut it down, SR 71 could maintain for 50 min till tanks were dry, the list is also missing su37, jas39, ef2000, f35 jsf, j10 shall i go on ??
ah this one is based on speed not on advanced technologies and don´t underestimate the mikoyans or suchojs the new models are very advanced and superior to the "Teen fighters" (F-14 to F/A-18). And the PAK-FA might go toe-to-toe with the F-22A and most likely be better than the F-35.
the SR-71 is the fastest by far, the Mig-25's and 31's would destroy their engines at mach 3 and the pilots were instructed never to exceed mach 2.8.. and why isnt the F-22 on here? Also this should be a list of the fastest fighters.. not the most advanced
true and i concur with the mach numbers they seem to be based on the Mean Sea level Mach number, not on the heights in wich those speeds are reached. A Airplane going mach 2 at sea level would melt because of the friction in the very dense air. Or atleast it would deform because of the high speeds. Also the SR-71 shouldn´t be on this list because the SR-71 is a Strategic Reconnaisance plane, not a fighter. the only fighter variant was the YF-12 Protype, never entered production.
@nem1 Yes, the migs never achieved mach 3. The SR-71 is the fastest air breathing plane to have ever flown. I would assume the F-22 isn't on this list because the top speed isn't published yet, though its ability to supercruise (sustain supersonic flight without afterburners, something only a very few jets in the world can do) would make me suspect that WITH afterburners, it'd be faster than most on this list.
A Mig-25 did actually break mach 3, you can look it up. And there are reports that the Raptor might not be able to break mach 3 due to the designs of the air intakes. The plane is still fast, and it can outrun any modern fighter (if not simply shoot them down) but some compromises were made to keep the plane stealth.
but that doesnt put it in first place. And technically the Mig-25 was the one clocked at mach 3.2, not the mig-31. Either way both are slower than the SR-71
@nem1 The MIG-25 yes.. but not the MIG-31, the Foxhound uses totally different turbofan engines than the MIG-25 , more powerfull and efficient.. While the MIG-31 is still "red lined" at MACH 2.8 to avoid excesive wear on them... it still can go MACH 3 in a necesary situation without blowing the engines like the MIG-25 did..
@sparrowlt technically turbofans are only efficient up to around mach 2.0, then turbojets become more efficient in that area. Also excessive wear is what causes damage. The pilots were told not to exceed Mach 2.8 because it would decrease the lifespan of the engine and had an increased chance of causing engine damage. Either way, both of the aircraft were extremely thirsty at those speeds, You could hit mach 3, but you could stay there for more that a few minutes.
@nem1 Yes.. but in the long run the MIG-31 will expend like 99% of its life under MACH 2.. MACH 2.8/3 would be used only for necesary situations like fast interception and hit&run attacks (lock - fire missiles - run) ..
The blackbird was efficient at MACH 3 because its engines behaved at that speed like ram jets basically..
@nem1 well SOME migs are used by NATO such as Slovakia or Hungary but the mig-25 is not.. The only Countries that have used them are: USSR/Russia, Algeria, Azerbaijan (retired 1999), Belarus (in storage), Bulgaria (retired 2003), India (retired 2006), Iraq (retired 2003), Kazakhstan, Libya (in storage), Syria, Ukraine (retired 2000). [NOT NATO] lol just fYi!
@nem1 Have you seen the engines on the foxbat? There fucking beasts! I'm sure they would easily exceed mach 2.8 but I do agree, it would very easily lose control at those speeds.
ummm... this is retarded and absolutely inaccurate, not only inaccurate of the order but also inaccurate in definition. Some of these are not even fighter jets. Oh and for the record the most advanced are F22 Raptor & The JS-F35 Lightning II, respectively.

Main Errors:
-The top fighters are without a doubt the F-22 Raptor and the Eurofighter Typhoon
-You have way too many Migs, almost all of which are outdated and not used by NATO, save for Poland which is retiring Migs in favor of F-16s.
-The SR-71 Blackbird is NOT a fighter jet, nor is it in service.
-Again, what's up with all the outdated Migs, China and Russia would die laughing if our best planes were their outdated technology.

CobaltX07 3 months ago
@ete0 Also, on the Mig-31. I didn't say it was a "bad" plane, however, it does not belong in the number one spot on this video for two reasons.
1. It's extremely doubtful it's as advanced as or can beat a Raptor or Typhoon.
2. It's not used by NATO except for aggressor training.
3. It's hardly the most advanced jet to roll out of China and Russia, case and point, Sukhoi's entire Flanker series.
4. It's not used by NATO.

@IgorBigDick1 The Doors feat. Snoop Dogg - Riders on the Storm. The original is way better, though. Snoop Dogg raped the remains of Jim Morrison.

i dont remember to talk about mig 23, SR-71 is not a fighter jet, viggen and f-14 is out of combat in nato, nato dont have mig 27 and mig 31.. Even a blind capibara know this.

NATO is not belong to ussr russia jetfighters at all,,,
only america, asia, europe are belong to NATIO and not ussr russia
bestamerica 1 year ago
@bestamerica USSR doesn't exist anymore. Also, you were speaking about continets... Russia is an Euroasian country, so I suppose it's has it's own continent so that it doesn't balong to NATO?
The USSR again: some countries that once were part of the USSR are now part of NATO. Go figure...

@agibbs98 OK, interesting those info about hardpoint and nuke bomb. I didn't know that. Although in the description is one strange sentence:
"it is believed that the aircraft could carry a 1-megaton nuclear device"
It isn't a fact?
Do you have some photo of that hardpoint, or better with something on that hardpoint?
teknobug 1 year ago
@agibbs98 OK, I see that it is hard to you to your source of informations. Just for you info A-12 was a prototype a predecessor of SR-71 - already operational aircraft by USAF. I've checked also military.cz and there also isn't any information about bomb bay. So please be so kind and say your source. I'm really interested in it.
teknobug 1 year ago
@agibbs98 I've checked info on wiki and there is no note about any hardpoint, nor strike missions flown.
teknobug 1 year ago
@agibbs98 You know what does SR in it's name means? Strategic Reconnaissance.
teknobug 1 year ago
@agibbs98 :D any source of this information? SR-71 was without any offensive weapons only ECM - definatelly wasn't a bomber.
teknobug 1 year ago
@agibbs98 Sr-71 is not a bomber, it hasn't any weapons nor bomb bay.

1960s US technology (SR-71 Blackbird) still holds world's record speed, and it is
nearly 50 years old.

Most advanced fighter jets? So where's the f-16, the fa-18 super hornet, or any of the mirage's? The list should've been longer, much longer. A+ on the soundtrack though.

And didnt you say NATO. NATO doesn't have black bird!!!

mig 31 was not faster then the mig 25, nor fly as high, they built the mig 25 to respond to the SR 71, mig 25 could hold mach 3.13 for 20 min before she had to shut it down, SR 71 could maintain for 50 min till tanks were dry, the list is also missing su37, jas39, ef2000, f35 jsf, j10 shall i go on ??

mmmm russia is in nato;)

i think they 4got the su-15 .. su-15 has the mach of 3.1
ninjaboyism 1 year ago
You should change title. I didn't see any Viggens and MiG23s in NATO countries. 2:19 shows MiG23 not MiG27. Poland didn't have any MiG27.

all those mikoyans are fuckin fatass hell...
you should put some more american on there after all we do have some of the best palnes
SScamaro93 2 years ago
ah this one is based on speed not on advanced technologies and don´t underestimate the mikoyans or suchojs the new models are very advanced and superior to the "Teen fighters" (F-14 to F/A-18). And the PAK-FA might go toe-to-toe with the F-22A and most likely be better than the F-35.
LupusAries 2 years ago
the SR-71 is the fastest by far, the Mig-25's and 31's would destroy their engines at mach 3 and the pilots were instructed never to exceed mach 2.8.. and why isnt the F-22 on here? Also this should be a list of the fastest fighters.. not the most advanced
nem1 2 years ago 16
@nem1 I am with you on it, tht F22 deserves to be on the list. I shall get back soon with the most advanced fighter jets :-) cheers !!!!!!!!

MiG23 is kind of old isn't it?
MrBetterment 11 months ago
true and i concur with the mach numbers they seem to be based on the Mean Sea level Mach number, not on the heights in wich those speeds are reached.
LupusAries 2 years ago
@nem1 SR-71 black bird is not a fighter. its an high altitude surveillance aircraft.
halopapa1 1 year ago
@halopapa1
the video ranks jets by speed.. i know it isnt a fighter. But since its on the list, and the list is ranking by speed, the SR-71 should be first
nem1 1 year ago
@nem1 Yes, the migs never achieved mach 3. The SR-71 is the fastest air breathing plane to have ever flown. I would assume the F-22 isn't on this list because the top speed isn't published yet, though its ability to supercruise (sustain supersonic flight without afterburners, something only a very few jets in the world can do) would make me suspect that WITH afterburners, it'd be faster than most on this list.
Mistraker 1 year ago
@Mistraker
A Mig-25 did actually break mach 3, you can look it up. And there are reports that the Raptor might not be able to break mach 3 due to the designs of the air intakes. The plane is still fast, and it can outrun any modern fighter (if not simply shoot them down) but some compromises were made to keep the plane stealth.
nem1 1 year ago
@nem1 But it's still capable of going Mach 3...
TonyFirelli 1 year ago
@TonyFirelli
but that doesnt put it in first place. And technically the Mig-25 was the one clocked at mach 3.2, not the mig-31. Either way both are slower than the SR-71
nem1 1 year ago
@nem1 The MIG-25 yes.. but not the MIG-31, the Foxhound uses totally different turbofan engines than the MIG-25 , more powerfull and efficient.. While the MIG-31 is still "red lined" at MACH 2.8 to avoid excesive wear on them... it still can go MACH 3 in a necesary situation without blowing the engines like the MIG-25 did..
sparrowlt 10 months ago
@sparrowlt technically turbofans are only efficient up to around mach 2.0, then turbojets become more efficient in that area. Also excessive wear is what causes damage. The pilots were told not to exceed Mach 2.8 because it would decrease the lifespan of the engine and had an increased chance of causing engine damage. Either way, both of the aircraft were extremely thirsty at those speeds, You could hit mach 3, but you could stay there for more that a few minutes.
nem1 10 months ago
@nem1 Yes.. but in the long run the MIG-31 will expend like 99% of its life under MACH 2.. MACH 2.8/3 would be used only for necesary situations like fast interception and hit&run attacks (lock - fire missiles - run) ..
The blackbird was efficient at MACH 3 because its engines behaved at that speed like ram jets basically..
sparrowlt 10 months ago
@sparrowlt Thats why the SR-71 should be number in this video.... since it is just based on speed
nem1 10 months ago
@nem1 But well.. the SR-71 is not a fighter
sparrowlt 10 months ago
@sparrowlt
and the Mig's arent from a NATO country... stop commenting me lol
nem1 10 months ago
@nem1 well SOME migs are used by NATO such as Slovakia or Hungary but the mig-25 is not.. The only Countries that have used them are: USSR/Russia, Algeria, Azerbaijan (retired 1999), Belarus (in storage), Bulgaria (retired 2003), India (retired 2006), Iraq (retired 2003), Kazakhstan, Libya (in storage), Syria, Ukraine (retired 2000). [NOT NATO] lol just fYi!

@nem1 also the X43 and X15
pdgb101548 9 months ago
@nem1 Have you seen the engines on the foxbat? There fucking beasts! I'm sure they would easily exceed mach 2.8 but I do agree, it would very easily lose control at those speeds.
