That scene where you open doors.. when you go from room to room.. you go through that OTHER door... AND FUCKING ZOMBIES COME THROUGH IT.

I am 21. Nothing scares me, but that caused my heart to explode. you go through RE1 worrying that it may happen, but it doesn't, then on RE2 you feel safe, then it throws a door scene full of zombies at you.

I think out of the entire Resident Evil series this save room theme is my favorite. It's so calming, knowing that you're in a safe, secluded place to collect your mind and thoughts... yet at the same time, it's still very dark and grimacing, reminding you of the sheer terror and pandemonium that awaits you on the other side of that safe room door... what an emotional balance....

I always felt RE1 and 2 Safe Houses had the same your safe for now but your surrounded by tons of dangers feel to them. RE 3's I felt was straight up yout screwed and just putting off the inevitable. Code Veronica's was much more . . . evoking? More passionatey safe. Like you actually felt safe for a few minutes before charging back into hell.
