  • Ah, my favorite vehicle! My husband and I currently own 2 1985 GL Brats, and this weekend we're purchasing a 79 Brat.... I love these quirky little cars. You can do so much with 'em!

  • I had a 1980 brat for 13 years, I saved it from the junkyard and fixed it up. I loved my car, however it got impounded and I went to jail for a shit load of tickets. By the time I got out it was sold at the auction. Some day I will buy me another one.

  • sweet vid! bunch of beautiful brats.

  • Where can I get a Subaru Brat? I love those cars.

  • Beautiful, beutiful video. When my Brat is done, I'll have to send you a pic so you can add it in there!

  • I would love to know the exact model and year that Tamiya modelled there 1/10 R/C Subaru Brat from. I had a Tamiya Brat as a child and would love the real thing 23 years later! Needs the correct stripes, single headlights and Brat down the sides. Can you let me know, I will keep my eye on eBay! hope to find the correct one. The R/C Tamiya car came out in 1982/3 I think.

  • The Tamiya kit was/is definitely modeled after the 1982 Subaru BRAT GL. The front grille style was unique to that year GL 4WD only, because it was the first year of that particular grille design (different from 80-81), but the last year of the hidden center passing light. Additionally, the 82 BRAT was the first year for the "wider" body style, and in 1983, it adopted the standard quad headlight GL front end. Oh, by the way, Tamiya supposedly just reissued that kit in it's original form.

  • Thanks for that, so to recap i need a 1982 Subaru BRAT GL 4WD in red with the twin square lights before it changed later to the quad lights? thanks for your help

  • Apparently the colour scheme is called Toreador Red,and even has the same BRAT decals down the sldes. Hope this helps, and good luck!

  • OH YEAH, I got me 2 of those!!

  • haaha cool cars
