@thenextoscarwinner0 He did get nominated for The Insider, I thought he should have one for that one. Sam Mendes took home the award for American Beauty which wasn't THAT good a movie, especially compared to the Insider.

The book was fantastic, but i enjoyed the movie too! it would be impossible to film ever one in the book, so obviously, Mann picked one from the book and that was obviously Dillinger. You should read the book AND watch the movie, innacuracies aside, i really enjoyed both.

i read the book public enemies and the movie is so inaccurate pretty much the whole movie isnt how it really went on a few parts are actually true

We have to wait a long time for this new movie with Johnny Depp after a long absence of him. So I've had really great expectations maybe to great...When I saw "Public enemies" yesterday I was really disappointed. But it's Michael Mann who is to blame for it. He let Depp not enough freedom to develop his abilities to the full. The script don't know what it wants and one isn't able to get closer to any character neither Dillinger himself nor Purvis nor Billie Frechette. What a pity!!!
