I will always miss Layne, but I was blown away by how amazing this new song is! I agree with waverider038, Jerry truly is a brilliant musician. I don't know the name of the new guitarist/singer. but he is fitting in perfectly as well. If they needed to take that much time to find someone that could fit in that well, I'm happy about that. While I'm sure AIC isn't ecstaticf about California, being from LA, it was cool to see all our landmarks that only a real Californian would know.

Always being a diehard fan of AIC, but with this new front man, I still feel like I'm listening to Staley in the vocals. The only thing I hated about Layne is that he said to MTV in the early 90's that his worst enemy were us, THE FANS. Still love and missed ya from Here LAYNE tho... We celebrate you by ROCKIN here with your AIC Legacy.

@sicosico I can see that the tone is similar and the drums do kinda build the same. In my opinion 10's is better, but I just prefer Pantera on a personal level. Still cool song here though.
duvall does the back up vocals on the whole album and really jerrys a great replacement wouldnt think to put ne one else in that spot but nobodies gunna beat layne staley's voice backing up the incredible music that alice in chains has made and are continuing to put out i think the whole album is awesome and some of their best work and ive been listening to them since the beginning
not true, jerry is lead on all secrets known, check my brain is complete harmonizing, last of my kind is duvall your decision is jerry looking in view is duvall when the sun rose again is complete harmonizing, acid bubble is duvall, lesson learned is jerry take her out is jerry private hell is mainly harmonizing but duvall has unaccompanied vocals on the track while jerry dosent, so he would be lead, and black gives way to blue is jerry,

My mom and dad got me hooked on alice in chains and I cannot believe how much the new singer sounds like Lane! Great CD can't wait till they come in concert!!!

I can't think of anyone that's ever done that before. And that's not to mention Elton John's piano on the CD. Jerry is truely a brilliant musician
Duvall is playing second fiddle to cantrell and he is doing a damn good job at it. What alot of people don't realize is that Laynes signiture sound was alot of harmonizing with cantrell. Duvall is staying more in the back except on a song like Acid Bubble. Also Layne had more stand out vocals.
That said This album kicks ass and Duvall makes a great addition to the band. Laynes stayley will never be forgotten and he can't be replicated but Duvall is close.
