A Buick Electra EXACTLY like this was the last car my dad had. Here in Bogota, Colombia SouthAmerica, she was quite a show car. I drove the car for many years and finally, after some years in storage, we sold her (non-running condition).
This Buick was such a wonderful car and I miss her very much, but with 10mpg she would be impossible to keep today.
I did not understand what was the purpose of that tire burning but it was nice to see "my car" running again
I learned to drive on a '65 Electra 225 and a '57 Nash. I have so far owned every '65 Electra bodystyle except a ragtop. This car brings back wonderful memories to me and I hope to see a complete restoration here eventually... Thanks for posting....
If there's *one* thing Americans do / did pretty well, it's cars...except,of course, for the disastrously BAD fuel "economy". Nice to see that old Buick run.
And that's almost identical to the one that actress Jayne Mansfield was killed in, 29 June 1967

You can't buy that kind of torque at a Buick dealer today.

The Northstar curve is pretty flat, and they've got the 5.3.
What you can't get is rear-wheel-drive

A favorite for the locals to do around where I live is drop a Northstar in a Fiero. :-D
