  • 15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" 16 Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." 17 Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. Matt. 16:15-17

  • "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Matt. 13:44. This parable Jesus told perfectly sums up how nothing in the world compares to having Him. He wants to take our souls to heaven. 'In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. John 14:2.

  • Jesus is God. He is not a religion. He is a relationship.

  • i noticed how all of them said 'jesus was' when it should be 'is'

  • @kushifig It is true JESUS was SON of GOD and HE is SON of GOD and HE is GOD!!! The same Yesterday, Today and Forever...

  • Great to see that those kids haven't had their mind poisoned. But I am sure you are working on it .

    cheers

  • You are a divided people; it is not by the sword that you are strong but by your hearts. The Truth and Word shall not turn anyone away that seeks him, and all shall seek him one day and he will listen. For he shall give all one more chance to know him. I tell you this truly! He came in Love, Compassion and Forgiveness to all, and shall receive you in this same way. Peace be with you!!

  • God is someone who commands us human beings to KILL for working on Sabbath, that same God wants us to STONE TO DEATH to gays AND women who are not virgins on their wedding night.

God is that one who tells us to KILL our disobedient children.

Will people PLEASE read the bible and not listen to stories cherry picked by pastors who want you to tithe 10% of what you make so they can buy themselves luxury?!?

Will you all please wake up from this idiotic delusion?

  • @Nostalgicvideos Christianity (following Christ) is new testament - Christians often have "old covenant" stuff thrown at them in an attempt that God is evil, which is 2000 years out of date. Read some new testament stuff (John 3:16 for example... God loves us) and I think you'll find God killed his only son, to pay for the mess of human life so that we might be free of the need to stone anyone to death, like you speak of.

  • @jeremyarharper I've been to church many times & never heard it put 'God killed his only son' that is usually delegated to humans who didn't know what they were doing. I wonder if Christians hope for a God who is more loving & caring & good than the picture that the Bible stories paint. Maybe the characters & authors of Bible were only guessing at what was going on- trying to think of reasons for suffering, illness, health based on the hypothesis of there being a cosmic God

  • @jeremyarharper

God is the same God new testament and old testament. He does not change, he is eternal, he is omnipotent, he is the beginning and the end. His words are not out-of-date, he made it very clear that Israel was to keep the covenant and they didn't. As a result they were punished, but YHWH made clear that he would send a messiah, even in the book of Genesis. Christianity is believing that Yeshua of Nazareth is the messiah. Yeshua is God.

  • Also, Yeshua established the new covenant so that we are not justified by the law or works but by faith.

Just like how Abraham was justified by faith.

The law was not given only to be followed, but to show how great sin was in the world.

Nobody could fulfill the whole law, ever. That is, except for Yeshua.

According to God, we all deserve hell, sin became part of our nature when

Adam and Eve disobeyed the holy God.

We are ALL sinners, we are all unholy in the eyes of a holy God.

  • @uberCOUGHmedicine Not anymore because we have the GRACE of GOD is with us! JESUS redeemed us from our sins, and it is by the GRACE of GOD that we are saved!!! Through the blood of JESUS CHRIST we are made perfect in the eyes of GOD! Once you become Born Again and accept JESUS as your personal Savior and believe in HIM, leave the old being and start living the new being in CHRIST JESUS! For whosoever the SON set free is free indeed! No more condemnation!

  • @romatjd amen. i should have said "we were" instead of "we are sinners". although.. born again Christians (like myself) still fall into sin even after accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior.

  • @romatjd

    Amen to that!!!

  • Last, death was given as a curse b/c of the man's decision to disobey God.

Death and decay was never a part of original creation. Even to this day we

follow that curse. We all turn to dust, we all die. However, Yeshua was the firstborn

to be Resurrected, to take back his life, to reverse the curse of death.

He is Risen. He lives, he breathes. He is the Lord.

Now, every knee will bow to God. If you don't kneel and obey him in life,

you will kneel to him before his divine Judgement.

  • There's no escaping the living God. He is divine, he searches both the mind and heart of every human.

You can choose to believe in him, or you can be deceived through belief in: Evolution, Cave Men, or that we came from single-celled organisms millions of years ago and that the we inhabit a floating rock in the middle of a galaxy that came from a big-bang.

  • @jeremyarharper So I suppose the old testament was just God's rough draft eh? Why should the Bible have to be updated? Shouldn't it be perfect from the start? I mean the foundation of the new testament is from the old. A Holy book should be with out any flaws or misunderstanding. It should be simply divine and complex at the same time. Everything I read from the bible I can imagine another human coming up with it. If it said something factual that humans could not know that would be interersting

  • @jeremyarharper the new testament is currupted by man though, for those things were added by "holy men" and you should know that just because they say they have the word of god doesn't make it true, both are out of date anyways in terms of their world view.

  • @jeremyarharper 17. "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."

    18. "For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished."

    -Jesus (Matthew 5:17-18 NIV)

Unless you disagree with Jesus, of course.

  • @jeremyarharper That is so false and not true. The old testament and the old laws still hold. Look up Mathews texts and Jesus' on the Sermon on the mount. The ideas propagated by modern christians about Jesus, god, and the old testament are false. Jesus himself said that the old covenants and laws still hold for everyone, and he is here to fulfill the law!

  • @Nostalgicvideos Mistaken. According to the new covenant, Christ's sacrifice, we're saved. It's not just works. It's also faith. Read up more. There is a difference between the pharasies and actual Christ followers. Many of whom today don't do any of those things.

  • Jesus was an apocolytpicist Jewish preacher from sometime in the early 1st Century CE. He was found guilty of sedition and executed by the Romans, possibly via crucifixion and his body dumped into a mass grave or burned at Gehenna, as was the practice in those days.

He otherwise does not resemble the Yeshua character in the Bible any more than Rooster Cogburn resembles a real Western Marshall.

He way mythologized into a sick religion by those desprate to keep and wield power.

  • @johnycannuk~ Interesting... But how do you explain the fact that people who denied him at first were then willing to turn around and be tortured or executed for sedition as well? People like Peter and John? The Apostle Paul was even a ringleader in judging and executing Christians, yet he was willing to convert people to the faith and die for it. Something pretty powerful--like Jesus Christ rising and appearing after his death-- had to have happened.

  • They were eyewitnesses to all that was going on...

  • @kelouis75 Easy...it didn't happen. All of those stories come from a single source - your Bible. And within the Bible, they come from a single source - book of Mark.

Most other NT books either directly or indirectly copy Mark or are much later forgeries. Forgeries like Ephesians, 1 and 2 Timothy, etc. Acts was written by the same person who wrote Luke (not Luke) and this was done long after the events.

Your "die for a lie" (il)logic is based on a faulty premise...that the Bible is history.

  • Comment removed

  • @johnycannuk P.S. There are historical documents written by non-Christians that confirm eye witness accounts of a Jesus movement which point to the resurrection. Josephus and Pliny the Younger are two ancient historians who record the imprint Jesus on the ancient world. That's why you can't deny his existence, yet you have not found enough info to convince you that he came back to life. It's out there. Keep searching, & if you are willing to let the Holy Spirit guide you, he will.

  • @kelouis75 Josephus entry was a late forgery...it appears in Antiquities (94CE) but the same story from War of the Jews (75CE) did not have it. Pliny was even longer after. And he wrote what he was told by hearsay witnesses 75 years after the alleged events.

The movement was real. Yeshua was probably a real person. The Jesus of the Bible is almost entirely fictional and mythologized. Don't confuse or conflate the 2.

There is not a single witness to anything in the NT. NONE of it.

  • @johnycannuk Where are you getting your info about the reliability of these source documents? Does each person hold the same world view? If so, then I'm sorry-- your "forgery" arguments don't hold water. On a side note, just saw 'A Universe From Nothing' by Lawrence Krauss, AAI 2009 on your channel, interesting but flawed... Not that I expect it to be perfect-- we all are flawed. But both Krauss and Dawkins, while entertaining, are full of contradictions...

  • @kelouis75 My forgery is based on the work of actual historical scholars and biblical experts. I've read many books, not just one...

Yes, "flawed" in that it doesn't support your particular unproven fairy tale you demand everyone accept as truth. Other than that, its quite prescient.

Now, entertaining is watching people twist into pretzels of logic in the face of hard, cold facts that show their beliefs are based on myth and historical falsehood. You believe in fairy tales and it shows

  • Jesus was no fable.

  • Jesus was a great prophet of God !

  • Should be -- Who do you think Jesus WAS?

  • @sweetsweatyfeet Pop into any church and you're bound to find someone whose life has been changed by Jesus. That wouldn't happen if Jesus was, as you say.

  • @jeremyarharper It's a characteristic of human psychology that belief itself is a prime motivator in how people change. A strong commitment to an idea or belief system can have a powerful impact on the lives of followers even if the idea is false and irrational (as is the case with Christianity). Other religions and belief systems have "changed" people's lives just as dramatically. This doesn't begin to speak to whether the belief is rational or reasonable.

  • @sweetsweatyfeet JESUS was SON of GOD, and HE is the SON of GOD and HE is GOD! A Member of the HOLY TRINITY: GOD the FATHER, the SON and HOLY SPIRIT!! And They are all ONE because GOD is ONE! The Holy Bible says, in the beginning there was WORD and the WORD was with GOD and the WORD was GOD and the same WORD was made Flesh and dwelt among us.....[John1:1-18 kjv]

  • @romatjd Well despite your assertions the bible is not "holy", it's very primitive, full of fables and falsehoods and often barbaric. It has been used throughout history as a brutal form of mind control and unfortunately for it's followers cripples their built in B.S. detectors. You are however entitled to believe as you wish but remember one man's god belief is another man's belly laugh.

  • Jesus is the Greek name of Yeshua which means "salvation".

HE is God. His name on the physical realm (earth) Yeshua (Jesus) and in the Spiritual real (Heaven) is YHVH. HE gave the Ten commandments and all of us broke HIS commands so HE came to 1. Reconcile humanity to HIM., 2. Destroy the works of satan, and debunk him from his legal rights to torment humans. Unfortunately humans don't even believe that HE IS so ignorance is the way satan enslave the souls. Read your Bible and repent!

  • He is an incarnate of the spirit of Gods. Encarnated consciously to save humanity. Ever wondered how he saved us? He altered the matrix created by the Anunaki (man to be slaves). You will not fully understand his words if you do not look at the past and future of humanity. He must have been from the highest evolved entities from Andromeda. He mentioned of a kingdom and armies in heaven(most likely the Federation). If the matrix was not altered, There will be no freedom .He is you and me.

  • @sam2132008 B ASIC I NSTRUCTIONS B EFORE L EAVING E ARTH = BIBLE

The Bible is the Manual God provided for us and if we study HIS manual and obey then we can have a good life on earth, because it was HIS intent from the begining.. Repent from breaking God's Ten commandments and ask for HIM to forgive you and come into your life and fills you with HIS Holy Spirit and HE is Merciful to the repentant. I did and I have such a peace and was healled. REPENT while you can.

  • The youth today have no idea about Christianity because England is a shithouse country that bends to the the multi cultural bullshitters who demand THEIR religion be taught in OUR ENGLISH schools !

  • He is God.

  • I think of him as my only holy lord and savior

  • This is a common theme in youtube videos that ask the man in the street who is Jesus? They all have real problems asking the question, they all vague. The reason is that the churches are all too busy telling people what to do, preaching, screaming, talking and rarely actually show what their religion is all about through action that is relevant to the lives of the people on the street.

  • The biggest attention whore in history who's fallowers where/are complete morons that felt no reason to understand science and just hold onto pointless faith. If he was God, he's apparently a nutjob in creating a world FULL of predators and dangerous weather along with other planets for "looks". If he was just a human, he's nothing more than an idol and requires no worship.

  • @clipsryan when god created our world, it was perfect. There were no predators or dangerous weather patterns, but then humans ate the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden and that was the first sin. We caused all our own misery, because that first sin corrupted the world and made it imperfect. The only reason God didnt stop this is because from the beginning he let us make our own choices, gave us free will. If he willed it, we would all be dead.

  • @Milkpaw Yeah, we all know the story, so what. If it was perfect than there wouldn't have been any need for change. Like all idiot creationists you put what is known about this earth (ironically by scientists and not by your book of lies) into the category of your religion thinking that that's ok. It's not and just goes to show how even contradictions aren't even enough to sway to fallowing of a VERY imperfect religion.

  • @clipsryan Where in the Bible does it say this Earth is perfect? And in my opinion, saying that GOd created the earth and everything in it isn't contradicting science, because it's just what I, personally, hold hold to be true. And i'm not deffending ALL Christians, but I don't think that scientists are idiots. And what about SCIENTOLOGY? dont they basically categorize "what they know about the earth into the category of their religion?" is that okay because they're scientists?

  • @TinaTiny24 scientologists believe in Xenu and reptilian creatures that control people. It's basically sciencefictionology. it's no less of a business than the catholic (if not all) church and when you get sick, pray or use medicine/science and lemme know what happened.........if you're not dead like those children who's parents turned away from science and relied on prayer.

  • @clipsryan OH! By the way, if believing in Jesus Christ makes me an idiot (so as you claim) I am proud to say I AM AN IDOTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mavidrine1 By the way, that's why I have pity. Being a proud idiot is what faith is all about so good for you.

  • @mavidrine1 I must be an idiot, too! AND I'M VERY PROUD OF THAT! GOOD FOR YOU, STICKING UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN! You should be respected for that.

  • @clipsryan he DIDN'T create a world like that. Read the fist chapter of Genesis, and you'll see that. And NO HUMAN would DIE to SAVE OTHERS because we're SELFISH. That's an awesome thing, and don't over look that! but even if you completely ignore what i say, at least LISTEN TO THIS; HE LOVES YOU, HE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, EVEN IF YOU THINK BELIEVING IN A GOD WHO BELIEVES IN YOU IS POINTLESS. HE DOESN'T THINK YOUR POINTLESS, AND THAT'S WHY YOU'RE ALIVE THIS VERY SECOND.

  • @TinaTiny24 the world's like that so yeah he (if HE exists) did. millions of humans have died to save others idiot! I don't want his love cause his love is partial. Fuck any God that lets children be mauled by animals, his planet to be so dangerous from natural disasters and lethal species (the black widow???? what the fuck was that all about???). I can't believe I even fell for ANY god let alone the Christian's 300 versions of Christ.

  • @clipsryan don't go calling me an idiot, who do u think u r?

  • @TinaTiny24 I'm a free thinker who sees someone typing idiotic things giving all credit to some attention whore of a god when you know full well that people have done way more than some "god" who was nothing more than a moral (unless he actually did write the disgusting bible) human living during a tough time like the other prophets and Gods. How coincidental.

  • @clipsryan You know what is so amazing about GOD/Jesus Christ? His ability to love. Even though you make comments about us christens being idiots to believe Jesus was GOD, he stilled suffered and died on the cross for you! GOD loves you after all you say and do! Now that’s love. I pray that you one day come to know and except him as your lord and savior.

  • @mavidrine1 How is that amazing? If we are in his image, it's by default. If I was going to go on a suicide mission and go back to heaven, I'd consider that better than going to Iraq. Don't pray, just work on your own life and stop worshipping that bullshit. If you fallow the teachings of other people like Ghandi, MLK ect that's cool but if you fallow the god of the bible, I strongly suggest you actually read the damn thing.

  • @clipsryan That's a horrible thing to comment about. It's rude to say that. You should respect people for what they believe in. I'm offended that you'd say that.

  • @Mslovesroses Big fucking deal. Swallow your pride and put aside your ego. I'm offended that people think lack of evidence is evidentiary and that outsiders deserve hell. I don't respect that position and nobody should.

  • Gian Giorgio Trissino (1478-1550) Was the first to explicitly distinguish the letter "i" and "J" as representing separate sounds and therefore the letter "J" didnt even come into existence untill the 1600's. Anyone who you think existed before the 1600's with the letter "j", NEVER EXISTED. Joshua, Jesus Christ, John the Baptist and so on. These are lies you were taught in Religion. There is no Archaeological Evidence of a human being flying into the sky or walking on water, Its Fairy tale!

  • @TheMelloKey Ever heard of the Bible? Well it's real. May not be to you, but IT IS. And before the Bible was even PRINTED in english, they had Hebrew and Jewish, which are the languages the bible was originally written in, and it obviously talks about Jesus. and i think the letter "j" not being invented doesn't really back up your fact that he didn't exist. and if he was the first to just DISTINGUISH IT, how can you say it didn't EXIST. it's just the sound that "didn't exist," not the letter.

  • @TinaTiny24 sure bibles exist. doesn't mean what they say is at all real or purposeful.

  • The WORLD is in trouble because of ignorance, and this path is ultimately leading the populace into eternal destruction. As they say, majority rules. The way of the world is not on par with THE WORD, so the clean up is on its way! May God have mercy on ALL our souls :(

  • I feel quite saddned and surpised on how uneducated people are about the person of Jesus. Is it like some idiot person decided to make the fake depiction of Jesus and it stuck or what? I have heard many times people questioning if Jesus even existed, which is so absurd that at that moment I just leave them in their ignorance.

The myth that there is debate on Jesus' existance is far reaching, but it's funny that if you doubt Jesus' existance, you better doubt Alexander the Great.

  • I agree with ogirv101

  • I totally agree. People who don't even recognize that Jesus Christ existed might as well not believe in all of history because there is more records of Jesus existing then any other historical figure.

  • @ogirv101 that's how we, as christians drive AWAY people; because of SELFISH things like that. we're supposed to help people, and if all we do is walk away because we get our feelings hurt on wat someone said, or get offended by that, HOW ARE WE HELPING THEM? i understand getting mad about it, and personally, i would get mad too, but i think it's wrong AND that it's hypocritical to leave out information for a person that could help them. But that's just MY opinion.

  • @ogirv101 The claim that we somehow need to doubt Alexander's existence if we pull Jesus' in question is a far further reaching myth than anything. Alexander's life is extremely well documented, his conquests have left numerous pieces of evidence: he founded cities, conquered the Persians and connected pieces of the then known world that previously had little to no knowledge of each other.

The often used phrase: "there are more documents on Jesus than there are on Caesar" is, I'm afraid, false.

  • @Notharah:

Yes Alexander's life is well documented, but have you seen to what extent the dates reach? The oldest documents we have of him are much longer from the time of Alexander's life to the time they were written, than if we compare it to Jesus. Furthermore, by using founding of cities and othet evidence he prove he was there is as equal evidence as saying Jesus existed as he has had a more profound influence on humanity and history than Alexander.

  • @ogirv101 idiot. where is the proof that jesus existed?????? eh? where? where is the photograph of him??? just th same as noah and santa im afraid mate

  • He was ignored by his disciples, even now people who are declared as who believe in jesus, but no one of them are following his teachings.

  • jesus was a very holy and wise man who is highly honoured in my zoroastrian faith, too bad he is not held in very high esteem by those who claim to follow his teachings.

  • Hard to explain who Jesus was because the church's story regarding Jesus just doesn't make any sense. For example how God sends his son to the earth to be killed and then this somehow results in people being forgiven of sins.

  • @godkiller39- Before Jesus came to earth, you were supposed to kill animals as sacrifices to redeem your sins. Jesus was born from a virgin and lived a perfect life, so when he gave his life for us then he was the perfect sacrifice and now our sins can be forgiven and we can go to heaven. He died and rose again by his own power. His blood that we spilled on the cross washes away our sins and redeems us in the eyes of God. He gave eternal life in heaven, and for that you should be greatful.

  • this is so sad

  • afgan ppl ,now

  • Doing good deeds wouldnt' get you an 'after life' anyway! That's the whole point of grace...eternal life is free for everyone. Jesus agreed with you about 'religious folks' - he's all about the heart. I hope you give him a chance with your heart. He's either who he says he is or he was a loony..nothing in between.

  • i agree with jufinio as well!!!

  • @Jufinio THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I've been trying to find someone that agrees with me on this. THANK YOU. Wait a minute. HEY! He isn't a loony. :(

Eternal life is free for anyone, even murderers. Isn't that amazing? I marvel at how...kind that is. :)

  • nice post, very intelligent.

    --

I think the majority of the people interview seem to be very unintelligent.

  • @Roolooth99:

good deeds? What would you regard as a good deed? Would you regard systematically killing the Jewish population in Europe for the advancement of the white race a good deed? If there is no God, if there is no reason to do good, why should one do good? Why should one believe that they can actually define good at all if there is no authority on goodness?

I want you to question yourself, disregard any biases, and keep questioning, never lose the holy inquiry.

  • Discussion around this topic is encouraged. But direct attacks on Christianity, immature and abusive language, and other less-than-civil behaviour will be reported. Thanks.

  • Wow. And you wonder why people think Christians are nuts.

  • @BeeRich33, descriminating people and hating people for their beliefs isnt tolerated in most societies. If someone posts a horrible raceist comment, it will hopefully get reported and the same goes for horrible comments targeting people with Christian beleif.

  • @Milkpaw Hilarious. The church has its own legal system (read the news about the deaf boys). The Pope condemns true science (Stem Cell Research & progression) that helps everybody. It's the church that has the discrimination, not I. I'm replying in the same way the church has demonstrated. I hope you let everybody get proper treatment for ailments before you put your imaginary fairy in the sky before them. And another thing: get some education.

  • @BeeRich33 Not all Christians support the Pope. I'm Protestant, not Catholic.

  • @Mslovesroses And that changes anything? Religious people are just that, with no reason at all. You think it's about the Pope? Heh. Um.....nah.

  • all the religions are based on some ancient pagan shit especially Christianity watch zeitgeist the movie to find out a lot more about Christianity

  • Jesus was a poof. In the bible it states a man who lies with another man should be stoned... this was written by jesus because he always smoked the wacky backy.

  • I believe Jesus is God.

  • "I believe Jesus is God",

Why? because it says so in a very old book?

There is shockingly little evidence that Jesus even existed let alone that he was some fairy tale super being.

  • and how can you prove he is non-existant?

can you give me absolute, undeniable proof that he is not God?

  • "and how can you prove he is non-existant?"

I don't have to, in the same way that I don't have to prove that invisible pink unicorns don't exist. I don't have to because it is a childish and absurd idea.

  • isn't because you can't give absolute proof?

besides, comparing God to ...unicorns is a "absurd" too.

  • oops, used a bit of bad grammer there.

  • You're right I can't give absolute proof that gods don't exist, but can you prove that invisible pink unicorns don't exist? I think not. Lack of proof for the non existence of imaginary beings like gods and unicorns cleary does not amount to evidence in their favour. You just assume there is a god, yet you have no reason to do so.

  • so are you saying invisible pink unicorns DO exist?

exactly, you CANNOT prove God doesn't exist, so you have no reason to assume he doesn't exist either.

  • "you CANNOT prove God doesn't exist, so you have no reason to assume he doesn't exist either. ", and since there is no evidence for a god I have no good reason to think that one does exist.

  • theres no evidence there isn't one either.

and since neither of us have proof he does or doesn't exist, both of us are at a standstill.

and if you still believe that he doesn't exist even though there is lack of proof he didn't, then I can believe he exists even though there is lack of proof he does exist.

  • @ElemiiFaze and that beleif is faith.

  • sad video.

  • The Jews were not white, Jesus was not white. Jesus was a Hebrew. He was an Israelite, correct? Moses was an Israelite as well. And he was mistaken as a Egyptian by the Egyptians who were black. So how could black people mistake a white person as their own? Think about it.

  • Honestly, I was more surprised at how many really didnt know "who" He was. Not in the sense of "is He or isnt He", but "umm.. that guy who uhh".. wow! You'd think people would at least know WHO He was.

  • I have been devastated by the death of someone I loved, and this topic has brought out many different emotions in me I guess! I'm doing my best to sort it out. I apologize for my anger, thats not who I am. Bless you!

  • My point was not to antagonise but to illustrate. Have a good think about why you are so upset. I don't mean that to sound condescending. I mean consider the reality of those emotions and their implications.

  • The realities of the human emotion of weeping and mourning is that we are humans, even Jesus Himself wept at the death of His friend Lazarus.Like mistyzae said, we don't know that person's heart, if they were right with God, we hope for them. Do you still believe Jesus was based on several previous myths?

  • Well I am sure you find that a convincing view. So why is that you talk of dead people in the past tense?

PS. Jesus? A man who exists only in the bible? It's about time you read Thomas Paine's 'Age of Reason'.

  • Jesus also exists in the Quran. And in a writing by Josephus.

  • Josephus has been regarded as a fraud on this subject for a long time by biblical scholars.

  • I guess we talk about dead people in the past tense because their physical human bodies ARE dead. We believe that their souls go to heaven and are alive and well.

  • yet you bawl your eyes out and talk about them in the past tense. Clearly no many christians actually believe what they claim to.

  • i know isnt it sad?

  • Why would should I be surprised that Jesus is mentioned in the Koran? Just more myths written half a millenium after the bible was compiled. You are obviously not a muslim. Why not? There is far more evidence of mohammed than of jesus. Surely you don't believe that islam is based on myths? if so, where do you think that leaves christianity?

  • This one time in church... while no one was looking... I came inside the holy water. Is this normal?

  • LOL, I don't know but there may some more 'virgin' births soon

  • its sad how blind this place is, Jesus is the one who saved me and can set you free if only you talk to him today,

  • Give me a mourning Christian and I'll show you the definition of hypocrisy.

  • What? Please explain this?

  • Not that bright huh. Christians are so sure of their myths about salvation and paradise, but they still ball their eyes out when a relative or friend dies. Paradoxical actions for someone who believes they are going to 'a better place'.

  • Not that bright huh. Christians are so sure of their myths about salvation and paradise, but they still ball their eyes out when a relative or friend dies. Paradoxical actions for someone who believes they are going to 'a better place' (artyfarty)...This has got to be one of the most rediculous comments I've ever heard! I guess christians can't mourn when they lose family or friends! like were not human. Loss is a loss, in THIS life. Your comment is quite insane and makes no sense!

  • It is a shame that you are so stupid that you can't see the implications of this christian hypocrisy!. If christians really believed in salvation and the afterlife then they would be jumping for joy everytime one of their friends or relatives bites the dust. But they don't! they ball their eyes out because they know at their core that that person is gone, lost forever. This makes a mockery of christianity, and liars of christians.

  • artyfarty... Your dumb enough to make judgement on christians who mourn their dead. Your a a real jackass of a human being to think that makes a mockery or liar of christianity! Those christians will judge you someday!Did you know that? How ironic. You are so stupid! (jump for joy when a friend dies) Ha, LOL When God gave out brains, you thought he said trains, so you said choo choo.(Farthead) To not follow Christ is to die in your sins and spend hell in your eternity! Is that what you want?

  • That is a really telling response. You did exactly what I expected of a christian. You completely fail to understand the profundity of the point, and then went on to demonstrate your superior christian morality. What a hypocrite!

But my point still stands. Christians are hypocrites. Most of you believe in heaven or hell about as much as I do (which is about as much as I believe in candyfloss galaxies), but you persist with the lie, why? because you are stupid assholes.

  • fartman...You seem to over analyze while failing to understand simplicity! Does it make you feeeeel better to call christians hypocrites? Did a christian hurt your little feeling? Do you need a hug? or a spiritual ass whoopin? You sound like you may need both. We are all sinners! saved by grace! Arty, you are obviously angry at God and your takin' it out on christians! What happened arty? I guess you gotta blame somebody for your own failures, why not christians, yea, thats it! christians r bad!

  • Desertdoggz if you really are a christian then why do you insist on playing into his idiotic bantering and idle chatter. Arguing with an unbeliever does no good as it only feeds their disbelief. And the bible says to not participate in such conversations. Only to speak for rebuke/reproof or "building up of the brothers"

  • mistyzae..."If I really am a christian"?

I will rebuke nonsense if I feel it is important to respond to. Thanks for your rebuke of me, that was really called for! Not!

  • Resorting to name calling and mudslinging I assume by your standards then is ok? You give a bad name to us all by doing this.

  • You seem to be a goodie too shoe christian. You apoligize for mourning the the death of family or friends. Are you a woos or not! You sound like a retard, you are a dumbass who doesn't have a brain in there head!

  • "All men will now that ye are my disciples if ye have love one for another" by the words of Christ you are not a christian. I pray that God will open your eyes to let you see the truth and have the ability to humble yourself before him. Ill let you have the last word.

  • Artyfarty2, You are partly right in what you say that we should not mourn the death of a loved one that we believe to be "saved". Yet we do.. because we are human.. God has permited this.. "A time for everything, A time to Rejoice, a time to mourn!." We are saddened partly because we have grown fond of their presence. Like if someone you loved went on a long vacation you would miss them and become saddened. It is the same thing just to more extreme mesure. But to claim all Christians hyprocrites

  • If you want to believe that explanation I'm sure you will.

  • And if we did not mourn you would call us cold and heartless. This is a double edge sword and you can strike both ways.

  • So what are you telling me, that it is all a pretense to make people think that their loved ones are gone forever? come on.

  • There is nothing I can say to someone who isn't willing to believe, and is just looking for an argument that will make and difference. So by all means.. You have a free will.. Use it as you see fit. I believe what I believe and you the same.

  • You are right, there is nothing you can say, because there is nothing for you to say. Its all in your wishful thinking dear. If there was a shred of truth to your childish delusion then there would be plenty say, plenty to see, plenty to hear. But there is nothing but the wishful thinking of people like you. Faith! the ability of idiots to accept lies and ignorance as truth.

  • On the other hand, you also are taking on faith that our Bible is not true. What if our Bible is true? You have faith that it ISN'T true, does that make you willing to accept lies and ignorance as truth, and therefore make you able of idiocy too?

  • Do you actually think that that is clever reasoning? I don't expect you to get this but; there are an infinitly more 'what ifs' than there are truths. Do you actually believe that accepting on faith the clearly fictional claims of iron age men living in the infancy of human understanding and reasoning, is smart thinking? I actually think the bible is a fantastic record of early thinking. It is just a shame that christians of ruined its meaning for the rest of the world.

  • "you also are taking on faith that our Bible is not true". Clearly I am not. There are an infinite number of propositions that can be believed. If we are to develop a true picture of the world surely you can see that the only way to do that is to consider what is reasonable to believe. Many biblical claims contradict other biblical claims and nature. We also know humans tell tall tales and lies. As I said before; Faith! the ability of idiots to accept lies and ignorance as truth.

  • just because we have a heart and a conscience is asinine. And even so we do not know for sure that our loved ones will indeed make it to that.. as you said.. "better place" because we don't truly know their hearts.. That is only between God and them. So we can only hope that they were right with God. Yes there are many many many hypocrites in the "church" today. Even Christ said "Even some of those who cried to me 'Lord, Lord' I will say depart from me you evil workers of eniquity, I do not know

  • you." He also said "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

  • farthead... you are one dumbass idiot! who has no concern for for mankind/ You are obviously an idiot who doesn'nt have a brain in there head. God bless you you imbecile!

  • @artyfarty2 That's because they will miss that person when they leave and people are imperfect. Actually, I didn't cry or show any emotion when my grandfather died. I didn't feel anything.

Btw, if you aren't Christian, why do you spend so much time commenting and poking fun at Christians? That doesn't really make any sense. I mean, you might believe in Evolution, right? Shouldn't you respect other Evolutionists or Creationists? They're entitled to their own opinion as well as you.

  • No, Jesus isn't a nigger, he's a cunt

  • PMSL.......describing your self obviously

  • Jesus is a nigger

  • actually Jesus is a Hebrew, but if you trace back his roots to Ruth the Moabite, he is actually half-black.

    :o

isn't it funny he's two of the world's most hated races?

  • He is our Lord and Savior.

  • He's the one who resuced me from the pit of self destruction. He's the one who opened my eyes. He's the one who guides me and protects me.

  • He was a pimp. Isnt that common knowledge?

  • I think he was made up or based on some inspirational person.

  • based on several previous myths is what the evidence suggests as I understand it
