I am super soldier guy... and THIS is my weapon. She weighs 150 kilograms and has a custom built $10,000 rocket launcher that fires 25 rockets per minute... It costs $400,000 to keep me sane... for 12 seconds
There was a tiny bit of British cussing in NOLF1, too. The level where the Countess was about to explode and Cate had to get everyone inside before she did? Fail to rescue everyone in time and it would go to that cutscene with Cate saying "Shite!" just before the blast hit. That's about the only example I recall offhand, though.
Unfortunately, NOLF2 has been out of production for a while, so it's most likely unable to be special ordered. You may need to resort to eBay or Amazon, but I'd check the nearest Gamestop first....
Also, I wonder why the Not Spam function no longer works. Some malicious fool unjustly spam-flagged your question and I'm trying to fix that, but YouTube won't let me.
Basically the Director of HARM (our girly-man antagonist) is trying to start a war between the Western nations and Russia. So he has his goons and super soldiers invade the island of Khios and sets the whole invasion up to look like Khios is being invaded by the Russians (though the "Russians" are actually HARM forces) in hopes of provoking the United States and Great Britain to take action against the Russians for their apparent (yet false) act of aggression.
Of course, it doesn't help that the American forces in this game are helmed by that angry dwarf General Hawkins, who is looking for any excuse to go to war with Russia. I guess he thinks it'll justify him having a job or something.
Hawkins is such a douche.
And I don't think the Director is French. To me, he seems more like an upper-class Englishman with very bad fashion sense. :-)
The intelligence in the game also suggests that Lt. Anders had a daughter named Abigail, and apparently Abigail had a strong resemblance to Cate Archer. So even though Anders attacked Cate in Antarctica, it was only because the super soldier serum was still fresh in his veins, making him hostile and aggressive towards pretty much everyone. Once those effects subsided, he stopped attacking "Abigail".
I'm not sure why he's wandering the planet, though: to find Abigail, to destroy HARM or both.
From what I read in the game, that rogue super soldier used to be Lieutenant Anders, an officer in HARM's forces. If I recall, HARM thought that Anders would be an ideal subject for the super soldier project, but he turned out to be too strong-willed for them to control. So after Anders woke up after the experiment and realized what HARM had done to him, he broke out of the HARM base in Antarctica (after a cat-and-mouse skirmish with Cate Archer) and went rogue.
Yes, HARM is one of those evil global domination organizations that tend to appear in James Bond movies and the like. And one of the ongoing themes in both NOLF games is that no one seems to know what "HARM" stands for. :-)
According to what I read on Activation's pages a while back, that's one of the running jokes of the NOLF series: No one actually knows what HARM stands for! Yet in so many HARM letters and memoranda littered throughout the two games, you'll find "Remember what HARM stands for!" as well as copyright conflicts with the Hair Alternate Replacements for Men (or whatever the exact name was)....
Or the katana. Remember the stage when the Super Soldiers are sacking India? The ones with the boom guns have too much splash damage for this to work, but the ones with the laser goggles can be taken down with the tulwar, believe it or not. Just zig-zag up to the laser soldier, dance circles around him and slash him to ribbons. No ammo spent, and--if you do it right--you won't even get hit. Then shoot him with the serum and continue on your merry way. >:-)
Are you refering to a NOLF2 Multiplay server? I haven't touched those for years, to be honest. I guess I got spanked by the hardcore PvP folks too often. :-/
Yeah, i'm refering to nolf2 multiplayer (deathmatch and doomsday). What are "PvP"'s btw? You mean online-players? Well there aren't many online players and nearly everyone knows everyone there, so it would be nice to have more people playing the game :)
"PvP" stands for Player Vs. Player. As far as multiplay goes, I always prefered co-op games with the difficulty cranked up; nothing will encourage four strangers to work together as a team quite like that. :-)
ah ok :) as a very experienced MP-Player i can give you few tipps to "crank up" the difficulty in coop even more. Dunno whether it's a bug or not, but if you host co-op with more than 4 players (for example 6 players), the enemy gets unkillable. countless shotgun headshots dont work^^ only way to kill then is to tag first and then shoot the enemy :P
Yeesh. That Transcribe Audio function really needs some work, doesn't it? Just try it on this video. Weirdness ensues. :)

I like how girlish and geantly she is+she killed many people.
In NOLF 1 she was totally different, more agressive, calling people "bastard" etc.
Slaviccommie 3 years ago
yeah, and she also asked the agent in berlin if he wouldn't like her to put him in a hospital ^^
sebbs89 3 years ago
It was in NOLF 1 or 2?

well i guess it was a code phrase...
Captain4447 3 years ago
...and yet she was STILL using high-tech gadgets disguised as feminine beauty products. The "girly tough girl" image is part of her charm. ;-)
BloodyBay 3 years ago
Agent like her can be pretty damn dangerous in reality. She can fool many men with her charm.
Imagine You are soldier and guarding something, but in city.
Than she would came and "excuse me, would You *please* come here and help me?"
Pretty damn hard to refuse huh? Than You get Your neck break...

i'm curious about that, too. The supersoldier says something like "Abigaile". I'm not sure, but i remember I've heard about that in NOLF 1.

Daughter. Read the intelligence reports in the Antarctica base.

Thanx for explanation, I need to know just one last thing-HARM is evil organization right?
I suggest so, when they created these supersoldiers...

In NOLF 2 there is also organization that call themselfs "EVIL" and their simbol is hand with knife destroyng earth.
At least they are honest and do not plaz good guys like other terrorist organization...
