That's a bug.
You're meant to shoot yourself as as soon as the guard sees you. The intruder alert is *meant* to go off and that in turn locks down the console.

Excellent!! I completely forgot that you could kill yourself so I got kinda lost. Maybe you could put more emphasis about this in the tutorial.
Great! I wish I could make a map for this but I would have to come up with something clever :D
