They tried to market her as girly later on in Morning Musume but she still walked and talked like a boy so never really killed her tomboyish image or the fan rumours that she is a lesbian. Even if she is it wouldn't matter either way she's still incredibly cool and stylish and also really cute.

She's never had a boyfriend since middle school and never been involved in any scandal when the rest of the girls from her age group are married or have boyfriends. People have hinted that she likes girls though they could have been joking. Yossie herself has denied it herself when asked so who knows.
