I believe this could have to do with BIGGER STRONGER and its rocky feel. That's the first track I ever heard by the guys and instantly knew they'd be big. No doubt Coldplay seems to have been a much heavier band than when they decided to sign with PARLOPHONE/EMI. Incidentally, the great BLUE ROOM ep is also where SEE YOU SOON came from, one of the bands most memorable and emotional songs to me.
