Well for as long as I can remember I've always liked both sexes. I've only dated men, but have feelings for both. It's just been something that's always been there. Just like breathing. We breathe but we aren't sure how it just sort of happens it's kinda like that.
You are so right! I haven't chosen to be straight, I just know I am. Just like gay people know they're gay. Gay, bi or straight, whatever! It's all LOVE, and love is all we have!
can you awnser me somethink ..im lesbian i have known i was lesbian from about 6yrs old ...i was with my partner for 10yrs she then left me for a MAN who made her pregnant !
she was not bi or straight then decided to be with me ..we met in school and built our life together ,through all our school years together NEVER straying and then into adulthood we set up home and live with eachother for 5yrs then that bomb shell,i just dont understand how a GAY woman can now set up home with a man ?
you hit a lot of good points as a bi female i have always been turned on by women i never looked at at dick and said "damn" unless it was "monster" dick lol i wasn't into guys tell i was in my late teens..I'm very proud of who i am.
Stfu, to be gay is not normal! its not normal to turn on hairy guy asses or is it? if every guy in the world gonna fuck males instead of females there will be no more people on the planet! We are created to make babies and we cant make babies if everyone is gay/lesbian so all u Homosexuals take a bigg step back and think again should i do something with my life and help the world? FACT: If it gonna be humans on the planet a woman has to give birth to 2,1 babies!
@TheNoobCamper94 in japan every woman gets 1,2 babies and thats not enough and did u know that japan is the country in the world who has most homosexuals? so dont come here and complain on who is getting it worse here! @TheNoobCamper94 It would be naturally impossible for every human to be a homosexual. Humans will always have a desire to reproduce with the opposite sex because it ensure our survival as species. That is not to say that every human will have identitical passions. Homosexuality has been observed in animals and it doesn't threaten their existence. And btw, we don't need any more people on our planet. Look up "overpopulation".
tell me something...why does every single lesbian/gay have to ramble on and on and on and on and on about their sexuality? then again why do people in general always have to ramble on and on and on about their sex lives period?.....SEX is a great part of life NO SHIT but why does every single fucking person GODIFY it ? i don't run out and tell every single detail to my friends everytime i get laid...humans IN ALL lack class these days.

You can't be born gay. This is a very dumb statement. I don't see babies trying to form sexual relationships with members of any sex so your statement is nonsense.
You act like genes are somehow independent when it's the opposite.
@ocelot814 You realize what you said made absolutely no sense. Being born gay is like being born straight. You don't start acting on your sexuality until you are a teen. Baby's have no sex drive. Just because a baby was born gay doesn't mean they're trying to have sex with anything. When they get older they'll realize their sexuality, just like straight people.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Again you aren't born straight or gay. No evidence supports this. People are genetically acceptable to find any sex or no sex sexually attractive. It all comes down to nurture.
How someone is raised will determine their sexual orientation not genetics alone.
@ocelot814 Says the straight person with the uninformed opinion to the gay person who actually knows. This argument is so old and stupid. Hope you eventually grow and learn to not tell people who are different than you they don't know why they are the way they are. Having an uniformed OPINION never makes a person right. This is very intrusive and immature on your part.
My statements are backed by facts. Genetics plays a role but as much of a role as wheat playing a role in a pizza. in other words nurture and other factors can have influences greater than genetic predispositions themselves.

We are ALL born into SIN. We do not have the ability to CHOOSE which sin will consumes us but we do have the ability to "turn from that sin". Maybe I was born gay, I was always sensitive as a boy and not into sports and I was also ostracized by most of my male peers for being 'different.' Almost all gay men will tell you the same things! But I didn't really have any sexual feelings for guys until I was 13, maybe cause that's when I was starting puberty.

Wait...a-fucking-minute! so are you saying you're gay because you've eat too many strawberries? is there a chemical inside strawberries that makes people gay??
I didn't know this, I'm not eating strawberries anymore. I guess that is why they call faggots fruits lmao...
i love your explanation to this topic. i've been searching for the right answer, and you have cleared it up. thanks steph. i knew & felt like it's ok to be born gay. i just never understood how it was possible. i come from a religious background, but it's more so of that and how i chose to figure things out on my own.
Very well said Steph. Just maybe some of the dumb ass homophobia's out there could understand this. But ya know, one of them just might tell you to pray the gay away. LOL...
Good video. But I think some bisexual people are sluts and don't discriminate by gender on who they sleep with. I know this by talking to them. But sexuality has so much grey area. Who cares lol but I don't choose to act butch those mannerisms r just there.
I know this from experience. A lot of girls if you get enough liquor in them they will kiss anybody regardless of gender. And they admit to liking making out with girls when they have a few drinks in them. I feel they don't care as long as they are getting attention from someone. It goes back to why women sleep around to begin with, insecurities.
Probably the clearest, most concise and BRILLIANT explanation I've ever heard. Steph you never cease to amaze me with your incredible intellect and your clarity of thought. NOW if only the masses could hear and understand, accept and embrace that just because certain people have certain life styles - it doesn't mean the end of the world nor their being indoctrinated into the same lifestyle. Ignorance remains. Now they need to hear your explanation and they'd be enlightened. Brilliant always.
And I use YOUR interpretation of the word LIFESTYLE just for effect here - that is that THEY ALL think this is what it amounts to and NOT just what and who you are. It's used definitely tongue-in-cheek for effect, not that I accept that LIFESTYLE is what it is - because as you note it is not. It's what THEY believe and they're plainly wrong.
unfortunately for me YouTube censors my work,so it's not likely it will be heard any further than this... I thank you for your support and love the feedback.
Great explanation Steph. I'm truly amazed at how many people actually think that sexuality is a choice. It really defies logic for anyone to make that claim but some seem so convinced that it's just a simple choice.
Narrow minded people fill themselves up on gangster cocktails of -stupidity-.They have this comradery that is built on wishful thinking and nothing more.
I've found that people who can't accept people for being gay or lesbian are people that can't accept anything outside of the beliefs they are fed. I remember long ago, being gay was considered a "mental illness." It's rather sad that so many people can't look outside the box that they are put in.
I heard someone say 'If you truly believe that it's a choice to be gay, then you have basically admitted to being bi-sexual, because bi-sexuals are the only people who can TRULY choose. :)
I feel compelled to post this on Myspace and Facebook.
I surprise a LOT of people when I post stuff like this.... when they find out I'm straight. :) I think it has to do with hanging out with my gay friends for 20+ years! I know they never chose.
Great topic Steph! Hey, I just read that in the state of Texas, it's illegal for heterosexual people, as well as gay people to get married? Even common law marriages are illegal. I guess it's true what they say: everything is bigger in Texas-- even the mistakes!!! lol Anyhow, I agree with everything you said.
It is a good question. When I was little, about 3 I guess, I just thought I'd grow up to marry my dad. I know a lot of girls who said they thought that too. Then by 5 I had a crush on Major Anthony Nelson (Larry Hagman,) from I dream of Jeanie. I thought there was no "cuter" man alive. Then in kindergarten, I started to have crushes on boys. Never thought about a choice to choose a girl if I wanted. Your point is perfect.
BRAVO! Lifestyle is totally over used and has nothing to do what who we are! A lifestyle can be changed or altered. It doesn't define you as person just as being gay shouldn't. A lifestyle is a characteristic bundle of behaviors, not a sexuality in itself.
Agreed about "lifestyle". Most of the heterosexual lifestyle I have seen is people as bars and clubs trying to shag anything that moves, including married people. Great lifestyle there, eh?
Being gay myself, I couldn't have said that any better! WOW, the strawberry bit was a PERFECT example!! Too bad the rest of the nation and our government can't figure that out!!!! FANTASTIC video!
i'm particularly non-denominational in my preferences of human sexual organs, LOL, but have chosen a male type human to spend the past 12 years with and it's not a bit different for me, male female, transgender, etc, i just happenned to fall for this person's spirit and personality. the sexy parts are just a bonus.if it matters to him, he says yeah, he needs a woman. okay, that pans out since i am female, lol. and i tell him if he was a female i'd still have married him. jjriotgrrl
very good video steph! i have been attracted to girls before when I was little and even had crushes on other girls. I never thought of it as something weird until my friends started calling another girl gay. I asked them what it meant and it wasn't till then that I realized it was something people didn't like and were bullied for. im not gay but i am bisexual. im 15 now but i know it is ok to be different!
I choose to be tall and thin and have blue eyes. Unfortunately my genes have other ideas. We are who we are; why do other people take who others are, as though it's a personal insult to them? Sheesh. Well said Steph!
And we shouldn't have to explain ourselves, we should just be and people should learn to mind their business. Who we are should not matter to anyone, not the priest, the pope or the religious zealous that have nothing else better to do than to pry in our life, judge everyone and then go have homosexual sex behind closed doors. How dare they? Another good video Steph....
I have a memory from 2nd grade. That would have made me 7 or 8 depending on what month this little flirtation took place.
My very first "boyfriend" gave me a yellow rabbit's foot. One day he was chasing me around the school yard. I slipped on the blacktop and skinned my knee. I went crying to my sister who was 2 years older than me.
I do not recall ever making a conscious choice to have a "boyfriend" in 2nd grade.
There is more to my story, but I'll leave it at that.
Please don't lump all heterosexuals together...I honestly believe most of us in the world feel as you do...but the screaming minority always gets the attention.
I believe that I was born gay... But does it matter what my I like as far as my sexual likes.... I am who I am and that is a human being.... I like people no matter what they like... If your straight or whether your gay that is your business and no one elses..... But no matter what some people think gays will always be around and that will never change.... Great video Steph.... Thanks for posting....
Steph, I grew up with two Bi Aunts and a Gay Great Uncle, so if I'd turned out to not be Hetero, my Family would've been OK with that. Too bad more Families aren't as accepting.
I think our Sexuality is determined by the Hormones we are subjected to in the womb (and NOT by some "gene" yet to be discovered.)
I Celebrate Diversity, but I was raised that way.... I applaud your courage in speaking out and encouraging discussion. Thank you for being YOU.
I'm attracted to men and women. I remember having elementary school crushes on boys at age 5-8. I don't remember looking at a girl in that way until high school. I don't know what that means, maybe that the hetero side is more prominent. I still like sex with both but I have never been in a relationship with a woman, only a man. Does that make me bisexual or just a really kinky hetero?
I never chose to be gay. That is not proof that I was born gay. They still have not found that gene. Many traits we have are genetic and some are environmental but the results are often out of our control.
How would finding a gay gene really affect us? People are born black or female yet racism and sexism still exist.
I chose to have sex the first time when I was 15. Yes, it was with a woman. She was 19.
What you can choose to be if you are gay is in the closet or not. From some of my gay friends, I've heard that being "in" is not only restrictive, but really painful. You would also be lying to yourself about a very basic physical drive.
the beauty of humanity is in our uniqueness. i hear hoe you are so sure it was not a choice,,,,but my question is what would be so terrible if it was?
Well ... it also part of my beliefs .. we are all made differently to show God is love and no one is perfect, we each have something to learn from one another ... and you have taught me a lot... I really enjoy your videos and commentary
Well for as long as I can remember I've always liked both sexes. I've only dated men, but have feelings for both. It's just been something that's always been there. Just like breathing. We breathe but we aren't sure how it just sort of happens it's kinda like that.

You've explained it in a way that I wish I were able to think of when my parents and siblings asked me "how do you know your gay?"
Icanseeyoui 2 years ago
and set if right... ask them how they new they were idiots?
StephStance 2 years ago
I've found that people who can't accept people for being gay or lesbian are people that can't accept anything outside of the beliefs they are fed. I remember long ago, being gay was considered a "mental illness." It's rather sad that so many people can't look outside the box that they are put in.
IraqIsWhack 2 years ago
I heard someone say 'If you truly believe that it's a choice to be gay, then you have basically admitted to being bi-sexual, because bi-sexuals are the only people who can TRULY choose. :)
I feel compelled to post this on Myspace and Facebook.
I surprise a LOT of people when I post stuff like this.... when they find out I'm straight. :) I think it has to do with hanging out with my gay friends for 20+ years! I know they never chose.
SnakeladyGreta 2 years ago
I'm not so sure that Bisexual people choose either. The rules for sexuality are set by the religions and we all know how those got started...

I just don't understand some straight people. why can't they just let us love who we want to love and go live their life instead of messing in ours.
tricitesboy 2 years ago
I can't answer this question for ya... i made this because I am tired of hearing how my "life style" is not approved of...
being gay is not a lifestyle.... it is apart of who you are not something you chose to be
StephStance 2 years ago
BRAVO! Lifestyle is totally over used and has nothing to do what who we are! A lifestyle can be changed or altered. It doesn't define you as person just as being gay shouldn't. A lifestyle is a characteristic bundle of behaviors, not a sexuality in itself.
jarridhill 2 years ago
Agreed about "lifestyle". Most of the heterosexual lifestyle I have seen is people as bars and clubs trying to shag anything that moves, including married people. Great lifestyle there, eh?

i'm particularly non-denominational in my preferences of human sexual organs, LOL, but have chosen a male type human to spend the past 12 years with and it's not a bit different for me, male female, transgender, etc, i just happenned to fall for this person's spirit and personality. the sexy parts are just a bonus.if it matters to him, he says yeah, he needs a woman. okay, that pans out since i am female, lol. and i tell him if he was a female i'd still have married him. jjriotgrrl

very good video steph! i have been attracted to girls before when I was little and even had crushes on other girls. I never thought of it as something weird until my friends started calling another girl gay. I asked them what it meant and it wasn't till then that I realized it was something people didn't like and were bullied for. im not gay but i am bisexual. im 15 now but i know it is ok to be different!

Awesomely stated. But unfortunately there are some individuals that will never stop the hate. Lord forbid if there would be harmony in this word.

I never chose to be gay. That is not proof that I was born gay. They still have not found that gene. Many traits we have are genetic and some are environmental but the results are often out of our control.
How would finding a gay gene really affect us? People are born black or female yet racism and sexism still exist.
cavejourney 2 years ago
Hiya, Steph--
I chose to have sex the first time when I was 15. Yes, it was with a woman. She was 19.
What you can choose to be if you are gay is in the closet or not. From some of my gay friends, I've heard that being "in" is not only restrictive, but really painful. You would also be lying to yourself about a very basic physical drive.
I'm glad you don't have to lie. :)
Stay sweet!
