@inukirby992 Be as eclectic as possible in your musical tastes- its all wonderful. And the bands form the 30's are just marvellous- great old tunes, sophisticated lyrics, and some real genius- Porter, Gershwin, Berlin, so many others. Check out guy Lombardo from this period, Ben Selvin, Gus Arnheim, george Olsen, Paul whiteman, and of course benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller and others from a little later.

@baghend Porter's nice, but oddly enough Al Bowlly sung 'You're the Top' much better, in my opinon. Benny Goodman is a genius, though. Gene Krupa practically invented every genre of modern music by inventing the modern drum set. I didn't see Chick Webb anywhere, though.
