I love this song! The only problem is that I'm an ambidextrous who prefers to play open handed, so people are saying that it's more difficult to play. I'm coping well with it but it's taking me a while to get it to reasonable perfection. People also take the piss because I drum and I'm a girl.
I've just become the drummer for my friends band. Run is our first cover we are doing because it's the easiest for all of us. But the problem is i'm not exactly perfect at the drums (need more practise) so how long would it take a beginner to get good at that song?
Not long man. Im still really new to the drums myself. I learned the song about 4 times through. Its pretty much the same beat all the way through. Try to add a few fills because the song doesn't have any. I added a few simple ones at the end. Good luck man! Keep practicing.
