i saw this movie today. the trilogy of the underworld has been nothing but exciting and well made. this movie does not link to the other movies as the past two have done beautifully. fact that doesn't make this movie bad at all! it was a marvellous movie and very creative. i give it a respectable 8/10

It was a good movie, but i found it a little dissapointing that we never get to see much Michael in any of the movies. Either he's icapacitated on we go in a different direction. Im not saying I dont like seeing Selene but just theres no Michael. Still underworld is byfar the best Vampire and/or Lycan movie of all time xD

It's like this one is movie 5 and the 4th film they should have made would be about the "first purge" and the war of human versus supernaturals. That is the flick I wanted to see. This one serves mostly as sequel bait only because it lacked Scott Speedman as Michael.  Quite possibly the most woodenactor since Keanu.

Plus the filmmakers knew they only had about an hour of story and didn't pad it to two and a half just to make it longer. 90 minutes is just about right for this flick.

i feel if they make a 3d movie they keep pointing things at you just to get your reaction wich is out of character.. BUT if they make a movie.. then later on digitally make it 3d its alot better beacasue they arent TRYING so hard to impress you that its obvious becaseu it does take away fromt he movie if they focus tomuch on 3d and not enough on dialog and character development.

See I have this thing about 3D movies. If its going to have 3D make the whole thing 3D not just the action areas and in the action areas do the best to use the 3D affects then was you would exspect to see in a reguler movie I.E. Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 3D / My Bloody Valentine 3D. Theirs a big difference from a reality movie compared to a animated movie.

this movie was worth watching if your a Underworld fan but only in 2D, I had no choice to watch it in 3D as cause all surrounding theaters only played it in 3D. It just means i wont watch it leagle again until it comes out and even then i am waiting till its in the bargain bin.

Resident Evil 4 was by far the worst film I saw last year. I haven't seen Underworld 2, but Underworld 3 was supposed to be better. Underworld 3 still managed to bore the pants off me. I'd say Resident Evil 3 was the movie I enjoyed best out of both franchises.

I LOVED this movie! I'm a BIG Underworld fan, and i have to say it was amazing! I saw it in 3D and i don't feel it took anything away from the movie, i think it added to it. Not even until watching this review did i even remember i saw it in 3D, it was just so captivating and beautiful i got lost in the movie itself. Not having Kate in the 3rd film kind of upset me, but it was understandable because it was a prequel not a sequel, the story wasn't about her. I am sad on how short it was though :/

It seems that studios are just using 3D as visual Pornagraphy, just to distract the audience from the crappy storyline. I've yet to see a 3D movie where it made the story any better. As long as they give us a choice, I'll never see another movie in 3D. Only, if they continue to require those dumb ass glasses.

I've never really watched the Underworld films, but I think with the inclusion of the humans, it should make this one different enough that I can start from here. I may see it soon. Of course, it seems whenever I say that, I end up not seeing it xD . As for the 3D, I really hate that people don't like the tech mostly because Hollywood uses it wrong. Don't throw things at us just because you can; USE the 3D, don't cheesily abuse it.

it was Resident Evil Underworld with an Umbrella Corp and a Nemesis werewolf. it had the action, sans the class, but not the drama and gravitas of the Underworld mythos. it's entertaining, but for me, Underworld stood above most action movies. it had a complex story and history that made sense. plus it used great acting, editing, and production design to compliment this.

this movie had one great actress and other ham actors trying to deliver lazy script. great action, but so not enough. 5/10

The 3D did not avert my attention to how short the movie felt, how sequel baiting it was and that Micheal was in less than 1 min of the entire movie. It was an ok movie with excellent effects and choreography but it got predictable, the last kill was a cop out which went against the whole plot. The writing could have been better but it was what it was. An OK movie.

What Underworld: Awakening lacks in narrative, it makes up for with tremendous action. The fight scenes were well crafted, and the best in the franchise. I did not look at my watch once. You shouldn't go to an Underworld film expecting a rich character driven story about vampires. If you want that, watch Interview with a Vampire. You go to an Underworld film for eye catching and heart pounding action, and in that sense, this latest installment of Underworld surpasses the previous films.
