@TheAshOfOurFriends They had a plan of doing screaming, half screaming, then full singing since they were like 19. Nightmare is probably their most hardcore album technically and in raw emotion. The album itself is great, especially if you liked their older stuff.

I've been a fan of A7X since Sounding The 7th Trumpet back when I was a fucked up little fifth grader. Also I got dragged to a show earlier this year in Lowell MA by a friend of mine, and it was less than stellar...
@kiddhitta Although I will admit that he can still scream; they played Unholy Confessions and it rocked. However, just because he can doesn't mean he does it on albums. God Hates Us is an empty husk of a metal song compared to something like An Epic of Time Wasted or Second Heartbeat. The talent is definitely still there vocally and instrumentally (except for The late Rev), but the vision is long gone.

Everytime a band plays SCOM the guitarist STRUGGLE! Ive played for years and its one of the hardest pieces I have ever tried to play. Slash makes them seem so easy but the solos he plays are VERY difficult. I love A7x!!! Dream show= GN'R, A7X, Linkin Park, and Alice in Chains.

wow, i never thought there's anyone on any gnr song that sounds better than Axl, but Shads never fails to amaze me. Everytime a band plays SCOM the guitarist STRUGGLE! Ive played for years and its one of the hardest pieces I have ever tried to play. Slash makes them seem so easy but the solos he plays are VERY difficult. I love A7x!!! Dream show= GN'R, A7X, Linkin Park, and Alice in Chains.

wow, i never thought there's anyone on any gnr song that sounds better than Axl, but Shads never fails to amaze me. He's got to be one of the best singers in the world, his voice is so gritty and melodic at the same time, and he can still scream like hell. Not to mention how amazing he is on Nightmare (the new a7x song)
