  • 1984... That was a time for me to run around in the sun and hop in my convertable mustang and go riding in the country. Maybe light up a smoke or two and be sure I had a small cooler equipted with some MGD Light and nothing could stop me. I was off on a mission to chase down some snapper and rock the night away until I passed out. I was a senior in high school too! Best time of my life that's for sure. Damn we all had it good back then! I wanna go back, but I can't go back I know!

  • ALL TIME BALLAD FOR SURE! STILL F'N KICKS ASS!!

  • one of my fave power ballads...for sure..

  • I think George Lynch is playing on a Hamer. He had a good taste in guitars then.

  • @dillondavillian Lynch always has good taste in musical instruments. He builds his own now and has a company building and selling custom built guitars. Low end prices are around $7000.00. They are fucking amazing instruments. Check out his website....

  • @dillondavillian Isn't it a Kramer? Hmm... But he has great taste in guitars like the ESP, etc.

  • @tenchimouse maybe, the name looks the same, but you're right he has a great taste in guitars. I personally like his custom esps.

  • @dillondavillian Oh I would love to have one of his ESP's! Custom built to his spec. Aloha dillion!

  • i alone forever

  • damn.. i was born on the wrong generation.. im 15 and i love the 80-90's music

i'm really sorry for what my generation has done to music with their pop stuff :/

  • @dsfansnx1 The 80's and 90's had pop music too, doofus.

  • @dsfansnx1 Hey no need to apologize there. It's not your fault that you have great taste in music :)

  • Dokken was an all-star band.George Lynch and Don Dokken were a GREAT 1-2 punch.Awesome singer and one of the Guitar GREATS.The 80s well probably NEVER be duplicated. However no matter what era we are in,the 80s well live in my heart 4life.

  • And still,i am alone again.

  • ▬▬▬▬ ↨ ▬▬▬▬ NUMBER 2 ▬▬▬▬ ↨ ▬▬▬▬ ▲ TOP TEN HISTORY SONGS ▲

  • Glam rock was well before the tail end end of the 80's . ie T-rex , the sweet just to name a few !!

  • hope I live (thru better medical and science coming) to the next ' 80s so can see a revival. Great fraking song.

  • I loved this song. I didn't know how to play guitar in the 80's but had a friend that knows how to play everything and he showed me. Man this is the fucking shit. I practiced and practiced and now I'm better than him, well ok he's still a little better but I can chop my chops and he starts sweating. Long live Dokken, Scorpions, King Diamond, Accept, Queensryche, Iron Maiden, Helix, Black n Blue, Morbid Angel, and too many other to mention, Thank you!

  • That solo just drives a dagger into your heart and twists it!

  • I miss the eighties all I ever see in traffic is a bunch of wiggers

  • That was what the 80's was all about if you were around then , then you would of understood why !!!

  • @69shunt no the tail end of the 80"s is whan glam rock showed up there were a few b4 but it got out of hand in late 80"s

  • @demon5158 I recall glam in the 70's .... T-rex , the sweet to name a few , Mark Bolan in my eyes was the ultimate glam rocker and well ahead of the game !! awsum times !!

  • FUCKING MAKE UP!!!! Good song but, why the fuck do they need the make up?

  • @maczepa Part of the Era my friend. That's why they used the makeup.

  • @rip2shred Yeah it was an era and all. The songs seemed solid enough, No makeup needed. I'd prefer to have this style of music come back rather then much of the garbage we have now. The Grammy's are getting worse every year. I mean Nikki Minaj?? Get that shit outta here!

  • ROCKEN with DOKKEN

  • I'm Here again..Because i ve missed something call Music!

  • OOOOOOHHHH I LOVE THIS SOOOOOONG!!!!!

  • @desolationrow if u think the 80s music sucked dont come back to a classic 80s song jerk!!!!!

  • best power ballad of the 80's. god i miss the 80's.

  • @michaec1 hell yea, me too , 80's ftw

  • @michaec1 so do i........i love alot of today's metal bands, or whatever genre they place them in these days, but there is nothing like the 80's.....

  • Back in 1984 I seen Dokken when they opened up for Triumph. Dokken simply STOLE the show.Granted, both are GREAT bands, but there is just something about the DOKKEN sound...Classic. Thanks for posting.

  • wow 21 when this song was released, and it still rocks 28 years later.

  • Good song

  • the best metal ballad.....

  • alone again on v-day perfect tune for it

  • This song had 250.000 views when i first discovered the band 1 year ago.Now it has 1.250.000 views.I am quite proud.

  • George Lynch, Mick Brown, Jeff P and Don ? are fucking amazing. still the best power ballad song ever these days.

  • We played this song during a talent show in high school and had a female singer that totally rocked and brought the house down, funny that was 27 years ago wow thanks for the post and the memories.

  • they definetly didn't get the recognition they deserved

  • AWESOME!!!! One of the most UNDERappreciated bands ever, they are really good, i was 14 when this come out.

  • im always alone....without u...dokken will always be there forever till i die.

  • the next 80's in 70 years, be ready guys...

  • @vonMohl whats that mean?

  • @vonMohl Thats so far away though D:

  • Nightfall1975, I sure am sad about that I missed the 80's ! And I'm 16 !

  • I was 17 when this song was out..... I miss the late 80's. Some may joke about the hair and songs but we all lived it and loved it. Good songs are always good songs.... timeless. Nothing like driving on a summers night listening to old songs.

  • 39 people are alone. I LOVE DOKKEN!! <3

  • It really isn't fair how a lot of people say that kids nowadays don't know what real music is, that they just listen to the mainstream pop, dubstep etc. But in fact this is such a generalised statement and so not true, many of us actually appreciate this kind of music (I'm sure I'm not just speaking for myself here...)

  • George Lynch there is no substitute!!

  • Dokken had their own sound....and killer riffs...love em !

  • There's a reason why the 80's rock was the best, just listen!

  • damn!

i'm almost crying with this fuckin' impressive song!

    Dokken FTW!!!

  • the best still have this ablum

  • Ah, the 80s power ballad.

  • I can relate to this song sometimes.

  • Grew up on this music thanks to my older sisters. I remember being probably one of the few 7 year olds jamming to Out of the Cellar and Shout at the Devil. After my first girlfriend broke up with me I remember turning this song on and turning off the lights. Almost 20 years later I can laugh about it now lol.

  • Should have made it Bigger like Anvil!!!

  • TOP TEN HISTORY SONGS ... NUMBER ONE -- ALONE AGAIN - DOKKEN

  • Me encanta esta canción !!

  • ausome...

  • Glad I got to see the once

  • This is the 1st heavy metal song this ears have heard, made me a die hard metal head. Love you metal so much!!! \m/

  • After the 80's and early 90's all music just became shit ! Where's the screaming lead guitars and epic vocals ?

  • @RockMailou Metal is not the force it was like back in those days. Its time to quite whining about the good old days and with our hearts and passion combined...we can those days come back.. \m/

  • @adnanisdabest Yeah, the comeback of the 80's!!! (y)(y)(y)

  • I LOVE THIS SONG !!!!!

  • dukes of hazzard at 0:25

  • I'M NOT ALONE BUT THIS MUSIC ROCKS !!

  • that is a very good keep up the good work

  • Tooth and Nail. The album I always pull out when people say solid state guitar amps ALWAYS sound bad. 90% of this album was cut with the venerable Randall rg80es. George didn't quit using the amps on the Tooth and Nail tour because they sounded bad. He quit because when you pull out the treble knob to engage the extra sustain and distortion function they lose around 20-30% of their volume capability.

  • DOKKEN UNTIL THE FUCKING END .....MAN I MISS LYNCH.

  • ALONE AGAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN WITHOUT YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • forever stallone !

  • forever alone again ...

  • Intro reminds me of "Children of the Damned" by Iron Maiden yet its still its own and unique! George Lynch is a fucking beast! \m/

  • really, i don't get why music like this isn't popular anymore. i'm 16 and i listen to awesome stuff like this, really i was born in the fuckin' wrong generation -.-

  • @MrDrokmor dnt be mad young man, enjoy it. u choose wut u like to listen to. this is my era. and i still lov it. im 36. my son is 13, plays the guitar, n he loves this too.

  • @Nightfall1975 trust me I know what I am missing. I wish I was born in the 70's to be able to see such amazing bands.

  • I really dont know what to say, i got goosebumps, tears in my eyes, memories from the 80's came like lightning into my head and i realize now how much i really have forgotten about glamrock days and damn i miss it, it was a perfect time, kids u have know idea what u are missing.

    Love from Norway

  • @Nightfall1975 Håller med dig fullständigt en härlig tid :)

  • @Nightfall1975 Unfortunately, some of us do know what we're missing.

    Love from Norway, aswell ;)

  • @Nightfall1975 Our countries were much more homogenous then. We had good economies. No threat of war everyday or terrorist in our own lands.

Yes it was a special time.

  • @prestonwiginton1964 excusethefuckoutta you? No threat of war? We had Reagan and Bush hovering over the Nuke buttons. I guess maybe you don't remember that in your nice, homogenous memory. It was a damn good time for music, and gas prices... I remember bitching when they hit a buck per gallon. But you're pretty confused about the state of "peace", I think.

  • @greatandoddogre Well put. The 80s were great. Less PC, plenty of jobs. No NWO, No GWB. The first Bush started this whole slide. But while I think of it I was employed able to buy whatever I needed, and had plenty of money. I remember the threat of war very well. Reagan did his little radio skit outlawing the Soviet Union, and said "The Missiles were on the way over to the USSR." The Russians didn't think it was funny, they put their missiles on alert.

  • I had this on Vinal ...LOL!

  • if only i had owned a time machine damn i would never comeback to this generation im 15 and wish i could of been a teen in the 80s i mean good music, goverment asnt always in your ass about things plus hot chicks listen to metal back then thats rare to come by in my school

  • George Lynch RRRRRRRIIIIIIPPPZ!

  • George Lynch's solo is so fucking emotional and amazing...get's the ladies swooning pretty quick. ;)

  • i'm 14 and i hate my generation... this song is fuckin epic

  • @jornal247 you may want to listen to Tesla and Cinderella since you like this song.

  • @jornal247 You listen to bands like Ratt, Cinderella, White Lion, Skid Row, Poison, Slaughter, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Winger, Tesla, etc...Dokken is fucking amazing shit.

  • @buclao5432 omg you poser how abot metallica slayer testament celtic frost megadeth

  • @jornal247 same as i told the other youngster below, enjoy this. im 36, my son is 13 plays the guitar, n he loves this era too. time and music has changed. even with other genres of music.

  • @jornal247 Wish I was born around the 80's

  • @metalballs2010 Just like you man, but, I'm 2 years older than you

  • @jornal247 the music these days has no feeling in it any more

  • @jornal247 it is bro, and yes your generation does suck, but you know what sounds good

  • @jornal247 Welcome to 1984, I was 18. Come ride the lightning with me. Just be prepared for the landing back in 2012, its a soft landing but very disturbing.

  • I'm 16 and they're my favourite band... (and always will be)!

  • AWESOME THIS SONG..PEFECTLY

  • INCREDIBLE...LOVE DOKKEN....FOREVER

  • I'm alone again without you :(((((((

  • amazing...

  • I'd almost forgotten about this one! Thank you!

  • Rebelión - ALTA INTENSIDAD

  • que recuerdos, un gran tema musical, grande los 80' !!

  • Me and my rock friends went and saw George Lynch in the late 80's, he played a rock concert and we went backstage all crazy to meet him. We saw him and waved him over and were all silly and gigling, and asked him for his autograph. To which he replied, "not not guys, I gotta go take a shit"... I was in awe and still am.

  • God this song brings back memories!

  • Hair bands get no respect these days, and the later ones IMO didn't deserve any respect. I am talking about Warrant, Poison, Winger etc, but Dokken actually had some musical quality. George Lynch is one of the greats, I am talking about Eddie, Randy, Ritchie, David, Jimi, Jeff, Jimmy, etc. Lynch's guitar playing holds up against all the greats - it really does.

  • @jtc1148 You need to go back and listen to Reb Beach with Winger. Take a listen to Headed for a Heartbreak, There's some good guitar work there........ Not really a Warrant fan either, But Uncle Tom's Cabin is a good metal tune.....

  • BINGO !!

  • The 80's was such an interesting time to come of age ,,, there was so much variety of truely great music

  • yes and also remember 8 tracks too lol

  • men amazing!!!! great

  • So Dokken watches The Dukes of Hazzard, cool! Lol

  • if the 80's weren't the best then I didn't post this comment.

    Yup... they're the best

  • ITS funny how this new generation listens to our old skool music wish you could have been there huh. I will tell you it was very AWESOME MAN!!!!!!!!!

  • I have never heard Dokken played on the radio once anywhere. I think I'm going to start harassing our local poser radio station about that. It's disturbing me a lot.

  • 33 people live and will die alone...

  • Melody Motel has Color TV. Remember that. Always!

  • truly one of the greatest singers of all time: Don Dokken, & this song should be heard by every woman that has broken any man's heart! Maybe all women will know then, you never know what you have in a relationship until it's gone.

  • Did you see that Norton Antivirus ad on TV? Don Dokken looks 100 year old!

  • DOKKENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

  • one of my favorite guitarists ever! George Lynch had a sound like playing from an empty soup can. Only way I can describe it, But Damn I miss that sound. I am old. LOL!!!

  • FOREVER ALONE !!!!!!

  • @MultiTomahok wtf are you talking about?

  • I talked to George Lynch maybe a decade ago and he's got a serious grudge against Don Dokken.

  • @rockstilllives100 wth happened to the two of them. I remember all of them mentioning something about not being one of the bands that broke up.

  • Hey Peter see you at work this weekend.

  • A Excellent example of Classic Hair Metal, Kick Ass Song!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love everything Dokken- except the makeup. Come at me haters.

  • @jhnj92 I don't think you're alone on that one, I don't know why you think you are lol.

  • Excellent music as always, and had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Don Dokken @ a concert. He is freaking awesome.

  • The chicks' were soo Awesome back then.

  • @db8onh2h - Yea...what happened !?

  • I'll never forget the times, they were the best in my life !!!!!!!

  • @amerboy37 yes they were my friend

  • 0:19.....sebastian bach haa

  • /watch?v=qtXeH8RFc3o

check out this 80s glam metal band! be sure to leave feedback :)

  • This was by far, the saddest day of my entire life!...I'll always love you babe..count on it..

  • Remember seeing Dokken at the Nassau Coliseum back in '84 when they opened for Judas Priest on there Defender of the Faith tour. M80's were being thrown from the top row, seat coushins rained down and there was an over turned car in the parking lot afterwards. Now that was a killer show!

  • wow what a flashback!!!

  • Awesome Times!

  • those were the days

  • Not to fond of the L.A hair bands but dokken and ratt were the exception.
