Should of just taken all of Ireland centuries ago - then there wouldnt be any of this bullshit, just one big strong united Britain, Ireland would have benefited in the long term, and not be the poor mans outpost it is today. @ItsJamesOBrien British iron (when that actually meant something was oh high quality). There's a good reason they're often called "pillar boxes" lol not just the shape, but how damn solid they are. I've seen those things take impacts from heavy goods vehicles and still be in one piece, granted they're usually ripped out of the ground lol. Still, tough bastards.
I'm from Manchester but having educated myself about Ireland I can understand why they did it. If part of England was occupied and 100000's of us had been killed over the years im sure we'd rebel against it, im glad they gave a warning though. Give Ireland back to the Irish but by peaceful means.
