Claire- Going to any length is not impossible of her, and she actually has committed murder before. It is extremely important to note that
she was under "poisonous" influence at the time. Not only that, but she had a victory over Wilhelmina, and I think she proved her point.
Wilhelmina- I actually think she is a highly possible suspect. She is not above doing something like this (getting Renee to almost kill Betty and sending her to an asylum is almost on the same level), and she could frame Claire for revenge.
Okay people...think about it. minx90210 is right. I think her husband did it.... he was strung up on drugs. And he knew she wasn't joking about the calling immigration. He pushed her down the stairs.... I bet you one.
I think it was Claire who pushed her down the stairs, because Claire was all "you don't know what i'll do to protect my children" and getting rid of the third Meade baby would protect them from Wilhelmina.
