  • cause he's probably talking about his world on how his life changed since his voice did

  • Isley Brothers For the love of you

  • he had a car crush that fucked up his voice

  • what is the name of the song that was sampled?

  • never mind

  • for the love of you by the isley brothers

  • when i first heard this song i didn't know he wasn't supposed to sound like he does but something about it really connected with me. idk why, maybe just because it was just so laid back, coupled with his voice made for a really cool track. loved this album since i was a teenager. and i agree with the comment about the mock singing. with his voice, was really unique.

  • to be a bitch u dont necessarily have to have a pussy in ur pants...i lik that

  • yeah yall know whats up THE DOC. all heart all real

  • I actually enjoyed the sound of

the raspy voice. The mock singing on the beginning and the end of the song fit pretty good with the bitter nature of the song.

  • Man he s still undeniably so good, All Heart

  • man, back when my friend was going to jail...we did some bad shit, he introduced this song to me, he got shot(his own deal),all it did was help me, he was the bitch that Tha D.O.C is talkinmg about according to life. Couldn;t stay out of jail....didn't care...so....why stay in that shadow. thanks man.

  • how come his voice got fucked up

  • car accident damaged his vocal cords and he was depressed so he didn't really recover

  • he still sounds koo thou

  • He's releasing another album next year. ya'll look out for that. hopefully, his voice recovered

  • is this the same sample of 2Pac's Bury me a G?

  • no this is the sample from the Isley Brothers, forgot the name of the song, 2pac sampled it also yes.

  • the song by the Isley Brothers is called For the Love of You and ye Masta Ace also sampled this song for his The I.N.C. Ride song check that out if u liked Pac's and D.O.C.'s versions

  • I think he cant rap too long with this voice. I think its very hard.. I think he recorded every line in this record on another audioline... Still its nice.

  • I think his voice sounds cool.

  • me too bro

  • O.G Shit!!!

  • D.O.C was a great rapper. too bad his voice turned in to this.. but he still knew how to make it good with that voice! Big ups!

  • D.o.c still has it! Cant take it from him, Its in him fo' ever.....

  • sounds like bury me a g :)

  • da reason why is - they got the same sample of(isley brothers " for the love of you") see also Masta ace - inc ride and a lot of otha rapperz

  • car crash damaged his larynx

  • whats happened with his voice??!!!

  • RUTHLESS NI66A

  • Thought that was random till I listened to the beat

  • His voice actually sounds more gangsta. Fuckin amazin shit

  • this may very well have been ment for the helter skelter album. if dre and cube wanted to they could still make that album. the same thing happened with duece. it was ment to be all dre production.

  • the d.o.c keeping it real in this, a classic right here. he aint westcoast but without him the westcoast is alot worse off!!

  • Wish Eazy was still here. >:( noone comparres to him ever.. DIdnt no d.o.c went to death row. ohwell

  • In fact, they both are sampled from The Isley Brothers: "For the love of you"

  • In Fact, The Isley Bros. Sampled From Me.

  • Lier No one Even knows who u are

  • No its true, most famous rappers sampled from lengstah

  • Yeah, sorry dude, I sampled from you also

  • wish i had the instrumentals....if anyone has post it or private message with a link

  • Anyone got the instrumentals? Thanks.

  • sick fucking track, havent heard this in close to 10 years

  • R.I.P D.O.C's VOCALS ='[

    THIS TRACC IS KILLA

  • Damn man, I cannot STOP listening to this song!

  • lot of respect..homie

  • aww shit.

It's sad how bad his voice is, but he kept going and didnt give up. thats awesome.

  • His voice gives him a unique edge. I happen to like it. No one can do it better than The Diggy Diggy DOC.

  • I agree. His demonic type of voice is pretty original and kind of cool in a way. Respect for D.O.C.

  • for real. its a damn shame because the D.O.C. was one of the coldest cats out the westcoast ever. he still flows on the track with the fucked up vocals though.

  • That just goes to show how money can change men into bitches. They let them white dudes divide and conqure-- Infiltrate black culture and meantime they turned on and used each other. No one can do it better than the D.O.C. and that's the truth! Bottom line.

  • you referring to jerry heller? why does "race" affect the way ppl deal with each other. Are you sayin nwa was stupid black men? Nwa wasnt ignorant to me, dre , cube , ren , yella, arabian prince, doc, above the law, snoop, but what do i know.

  • damn i love this song !! thx

  • I mean the video goes well with the song its almost like a real video but a tribute one

  • thanks a lot! that's what i'm trying to show, the story of his life, and it's good to see that people pay attention to not just the song but the video too

  • Yo man do u have the album I had it but lil nephew Jamal broke it he threw it down a staircase and I've been looking for someone whos got it so I can get itn on the computer?

  • look for the torrent or get it on emule

  • You can look for it yourself buddy the shit ain't there its rare and it doesn't matter now The Boy ur listening to tracy my main man gave me it himself so Thats way better

  • ur an idiot i got all 3 of d.o.c's albums from emule a few months ago

  • Emule has like hundreds of viruses so its cool if u wanna like take the risk but personally I'd rather not besides I got the actual cds now so thats way better anyways

  • its allways better to have the proper discs i agree but there out there if u want em i have had it with cd's sold all mine and downloaded them after

  • just download "recordpad" and record the audio right off your computer while the video plays.....simple.

  • yo this videos actually pretty damn good it goes well with the video

  • legendary!!!!

  • I seriously almost cried when I heard this song. It's emotional and breathtaking how he managed to record this, despite his vocal cords getting severed.

  • I can't believe this shit happened its a real deep song that means alot

  • This song is the bomb, but that fool got done dirty. Money be changing mutha fuckas, lil bitches. He ain't lying cuz to be a bitch, you don't have to have a pussy between your pants! Now that's what I'm talking about! Guys be acting like lil bitches too! Do me later!

  • Like out of many rap songs I honestly think this is one of my favourite songs in general because its really deep and the concept its kinda sad but its very true The D.O.C. really suffered a tragic loss when he lost his voice and honestly I think it may have inspired some of his most creative work and This song especially shows The D.O.C. and never lost it and never will

  • Just my opinion, but The DOC sounds like the evil legend rapper. He's good anyways, LOL.

  • Sounds like the Bury Me A G Beat

  • The car accident was the least of his concerne, putting together one of hip hop's most classic album and getting sweet fuck all in return hurt him more

  • damn...thats unfortunate that he got in that car accident. he was a good MC

  • he wasn't just good, homie..up to that point, I dare say, he was the BEST..only Rakim held a candle to him in 88-89..bar none, in my humble opinion..much better than this Mickey Mouse bullshit on the radio in 2008..

  • hell yeah man. this song (and probably album) would have been a hit had his voice not been so messed up.

  • true that killa!

  • Damn his voice sounds horrible after the car crash.

  • sounds good

  • still man...no one can do it better

  • Yo that whole album was so deep Helter Skelter I would say is an underground classic just like The Firms debute and The Aftermath those are my fav underground rap albums of the 90s and the thing is they weren't intended to be underground but Yeah I've been searching everywhere trying to get this album

  • D.O.C. was done dirty by everybody.

  • he aint on interscope

  • Uhm Yeah incase u didn't know when he was Death row thats a division of Interscope and Giant records is split with Atlantic and Interscope so they're

  • You are wrong dude, INterscope is not related to Death Row Records.....Aftermath (Dre's Label) is a division of interscope!

  • so was fucking Death row dumb ass thats how dre met Jimmy Ivine of interscope he heard his shit back in NWA and he said he liked how his records sounded so he granted him and suge knight permission to start Death row under they're division

  • Yo if you got tracks off of Helter Skelter add me and send em

  • whole cd is the hellfire!slept on after the accident but cat still brutal.

  • Yes the shit was genius

I feel Bad cause he don't get no respect but the motherfucker was a genius

  • true that!

  • fuck em

  • yeah,,, fuck u

  • no fuck u

  • THE SKULL N KEY OF THA DOC!

  • I can't bear the singing on this song..........

  • first of all.... he aint "singing"... hes RAPPING....secondly.... this beat is so FAT it doesnt need vocals anyway.

  • Hell yeah, the track is so f´n layback, it´s all about the presence of the DOC. Met him in Vegas w/ Dre in 94 and of course got an autograph from him. Great Act and international fan friendly.

  • this beat is CAVVYLICIOUS..... 4 realz..... this cut cant be f@#$ed wit.

  • what happend to his voice ?

  • his vocal cords were severed in a car accident...but his legacy lives on... DOC 4 LYFE NIKKA~!!!

  • helter skelter was a good album.

  • KURWA DOC

  • i didnt think his voice was going 2 be this bad.but he could have had his voice recovered up 2 90%.and he will be on the detox

  • A little Delegation 'Oh Honey' on here...not quite Three Times Dope.

  • it mixes Delegation & an Isley Brothers song

  • jerry "greedy" heller, destroyed NWA and THE DOC, that's why cube, dre and doc lefted ruthless. Too bad, NWA and THE DOC were the best rappers in the business.

  • I don't see why The D.O.C. still didn't continue to rise, despite the raspy voice. He can still rock the mic. Hell I mean, he was responsible for Dr. Dre's and Snoop's career. Everyone ran over him. It's some bullshit. Props to The DOC to keeping it real.

  • Nice voice D.O.C

  • yo, was there ever a video for Secret Plan? if not you should make a video out of that, tight track with that voice

  • "from what i put out i didnt get a fucking thing" - thats fucked up- from one of the greatest rap records he didnt make shit off it- eazy you greasy fuck

  • wat u on about fuck eazy? he a business man and if doc stupid enough 2 sign the contract thats his own fault!

  • i didnt say fuck eazy- i said he was a greasy fuck

  • I can hear elements of Thug Life's 'Bury Me A G' in the production. A great lyricist despite his raspy voice. But his influence is still there. I'm sure he'll be a part of Detox!

  • hes still an awsome lyrcist

  • his voice is SCARY, i never heard it b4!!

  • WHAT HAPPEND TO HIS VOICE ?

  • fell asleep behind the weel and crashed, he nearly died. But in the accident he messed up his voice, too bad

  • Shame what happened in that accident. The D.O.C, It's Funky? What? That was tha shiznit, please believe!

  • My all tyme fav song Fuck ruthless records

  • Great song, it's a shame what happened to his voice. He could've been even better. His lyrics are still the best.
