I know, I saw them on wife-swap once, the mother was like his slave. Also, after the boy said "we did it for the show" the next morning they were interviewed again and he threw up on national television. I think there's definitely something going on, cps should investigate and remove custody from the father.

Well we all know today that this was a hoax, which I thought from the begining that it was, Charges are being filed against him and I feel this guy should pay in restitution what it cost to send law enforcement out ect.

The father had "crying wolf" written all over his face. From the way the balloon was taking off, I don't think the balloon would fly if the boy was in there. It just barely had enough helium to take off, not enough to carry a person.
