My grandparents came from Spain in the 50s. My mom and dad met where they lived, the slums in Petare (MOM:Barrio 12 de Octubre and DAD:23 de Julio). So no, i´m not one of the better off but we live better now (3 blocks away from where they lived). My dad went to school and graduated, he has worked for 27+ years on the same line of work, no master, no doctorate because of time and money restrictions.
