I think she has made too many comments that imply that she is heavily biased. In listening to her story, odd how she ruled against the firemen that worked so hard in tying to better themselves. I dont want her on the high court.

I don't think she can be impartial. She is on the public record as saying that one of the purposes of the judicial branch is to set the policy of the United States (see Court is where policy is made.) She's on the record as saying that she thinks that hispanic women will necessarily make better decisions than white men, she feels that standardized tests don't count unless specifc minority groups finish with representatives in the top 3% (see Ricci). She feels cities can ignore laws (ricci).

Do you actually think that the supreme court doesn't judge based on ideals? Take a look at the last few judgments they made and see that they're 5 to 4 in the cases. Think about it.

Of course they judge by ideals and beliefs. The Supreme Court is rarely if ever "impartial" so why should she be any different.

I don't remember certain senators giving Alito crap when he explained how he shows "empathy".Everyone just needs to relax. I just wish we could not focus on race in this country. The legislature makes the law. The Supreme Court is only to rule on case where Consitutional principles applies.. in all other cases they are not to TOUCH the case. Sotomayor is a BULLY on the bench (constantly speaking over and badgering counsel), and hasn't distinguised herself ONE IOTA in all her time on the bench. Her opinions are also held in low regard by her colleagues.... typical affirmative action poorly written nonsense from the spic bitch.

Congress makes the law. That's why they're called the legislative branch. The executive branch enforces it, and the judicial branch interprets and applies it. This is high school government.  If you don't know who makes the law, you're either not from the country or you never graduated high school. I sure hope it's the former.
