That sucks man!! My friend had a G&P stock w/ lipo shot 40 bbs a second right out of the box, because it already has a GP 120 high speed motor in it.

I'm happy with my decision. Especially after seeing the 2GX gearbox. I wasn't going to delve into the gearbox and I heard some parts in the stock G&P gearbox were prone to being broken very quickly. So I chose the KWA and I'm really happy with my decision.

I see what ya mean. Don't get me wrong, KWAs are fantastic guns, but I know a lot about gearboxes, and I personally think G&P is better stock, at least for highspeed. But if your outdoor than kwa is cool.

There's no way a G&P shoots 40 rps out of the box, unless your friend is using a ridiculously powerful lipo.

dude if you haven't bought the gun yet don't and wait till about june the 3'rd for the new KWA 2009-2010 models to come out with improved pistol grip, motors, and hop ups similar to the fire fly hop up that is extremely accurate so just wait.

people the range suck cuz the BB's r going to fast so they hit each in the barrel.if u put a 9.6 they will be fine

Range is fine. Clean the barrel, use some .25's or .28's. Trust me. I own the gun.

I have the gun, and believe me, they did not have the hop up set right. The range I can for a fact say is much better than that. I to was shocked when I saw the BB's doing that.

Wow. I never heard of the calculation before.

The gun is fast but to get accurate reading use microphone test. Emptying a mag and counting per second is not a true #. Your using madbull choro, u can use it up to 30bps. you have to do few burst and it will measure it. other than that, if you want to validate your claim. go buy LAYLAX or microphone prog to actually have proof. It soulds fast but i know its no 60bps.

Our madbull didn't get close to counting true.

The mag dump test is accurate enough to get a good feel for the amount.

Whether or not you can hear it on the video, when the mag goes dry you can hear the change in the way the gun shoots. Not exact exact, but I am confident in the 55bps number. Especially when counting number of bb's going in, and then what few are left in the feed tube when it's done.

Frankly, it's going to be lower than actual anyway.

Actually, with the new chrono and the other changes it was 64-66 bps.

The hop up was turned off to check the fps.

We forgot to turn it on (oops) for the next part.

It works well, though, as anyone who has run up against Motorhead can attest...

It's now shooting 350 fps and frankly we haven't checked bps/bpm on it...yet...

Actually, it's held up quite well. This gun is in to have the fps power dropped so he can play with it in our courses.

James and I have both been quite impressed with the KWA gearbox so far. It's a tank.

BTW, 450 rounds, 8.22 secs = 54.98 bps, or about 3300 rounds per minute.

Actually, I think it ended up with a new set of gears... we figure it had somewhere around 650,000 to 800,000 rounds through it at that point (!)

No kidding, that is a tank set up. Has to be, Motorhead is hard on his toys!! (nothin' but love, man!)
