  • I like more the costumes in the movie... "Beatiful girls wearing nothing but pearls". It´s too fashion.

  • Reece has such a lovely singing voice he should do more singing in TLoG. He's an amazing actor

  • THE PRODUCERS IS MY FAV MOVIE!!!!!!!

  • is this available to buy with reece shearsmith in it

  • Cool! Thanks for uploading!

  • Singers pitch is way off sometimes. I don't even know who he is, but I'm a big fan of The Producers.

  • I saw the show in the West End toward the end of the run, and sadly the cast had just been given notice. Saw a Thursday night and was so disappointed - the entire cast phoned in, especially Reece as Leo , and Cory English as Max.

  • HOWEVER there was one good moment in the whole thing, in the scene where Leo is hiding on the back of the door, his coat got stuck and he was unable to take it off, he struggled while trying to spit his lines out and in the end said "Ulla.. I'm stuck!"..

Cue Ulla corpsing for a full minute as she tried to unhook Reece from the prop, then right on cue, Reece turning to the audience and saying "Ummmm... this doesn't usually happen" in a perfect Bloom-esque delivery.

  • Seeming Reece Shearsmith is not normally a singer, I thought he was brilliant when I saw him

  • Lets be honest Broderick was insipid. Gene Wilder IS Leo Bloom.

  • Is this relevant?

  • Reece was good but sometimes he couldn't keep up the american accent.

  • i saw this second night of previews on broadway in 2001. amazing. broderick was out sick that night, his understudy was fine, lane was amazing, and mel and bancroft were in the audience. saw it again a week or two later with broderick. many times later... always a treat.

when those old ladies came out at the end of act 1 i just about peed my pants. the audience -- as you can imagine -- were absolutely beside themselves.

  • I so wanted to see this show. I'm crying right now because this show is closed in london and on broadway.

  • I saw Lee three times including the matinee on his last day, and he just got better every time I saw him.

I think Reece sounds a bit like Matthew Broderick actually.

  • how short is this guy!

  • i think matthew broderick was ssoooo better

  • reece is awesome!

  • No it isnt Lee evans, Its Reece Shearsmith,Lee was in the original london production and was fantastic, seen both of them play leo bloom and i also saw peter kay in manchester, and seeing itin birmingham also with joe paswuale, and i reacon he will be great.

  • I think considering Reece isn't a trained dancer or singer he did an amazing job - he's funny!

  • Who actually is this playing bloom?

  • the english guy from the Jakie Chan The Madaliean

  • he is called lee evans

  • definitely Reece not Lee, altho they were both great x

  • He can't sing...

  • i saw this in toronto.... i loved it!!

  • I when to go and see this in London it was brilliant!

  • "...and say, 'You, you, you-HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD!'"

  • that was the best part lol

  • I never got to see Reece down in the West End :( I was so dissapointed! So this video is great! Reece is a very good singer- I didn't think he'd be so good.

And as yet another fan girlie, yes, he is GORGEOUS!!!

  • Reece is amazing. I love him to pieces!

This is fantastic, its such a shame I live to far away to have sen it though. =( But still, Reece is fantastic in it, pretty voice. =)

  • Shearsmith admits it's the hardest thing he's ever done and is knackered after 11 months. He's followed a previous all-star cast of Evans and Broderick and Lane - a well-established mix -- so he probably felt overwhelmed. Reece is no singer but commands respect for his award nomination. I've missed the West End run having to make do with Peter Kay in Manchester instead. Reece should come up Naaarth and have another shot. Oh yes, finally to be shallow and fan-girlie - Reece is really cute.

  • Oh my god. i am a MASSIVE league of gents fan and i LOVE Reece shearsmith to bits! I really wanna see this musical!

    Anyone here seen it?

  • I love this show! I know the guy playing the accountant sitting just behind him at the beginning there!

  • he's ok, bit out of tune and flat! Lee Evans was the funniest! do u hav any videos of Cory English as Max Bialystock, he's the best ever!

  • But if your comparing Reece to Lee singing wise, you gotta remeber Lee Evans is a singer, as fars i know reece can sing but isnt a singer! Lee evans was as amazing as Reece in my opinion.

  • hahaha

lee evans is not a singer

i dont know where u got that from. did u not read the interview where he said the reason he didnt want to do a cast recording was because he didnt feel his voice was strong enough?

also did u see it? cuz i did, and he was not perfect at singing, though, absolutly brillant with the part, but no, not a singer.

  • Uh... Lee Evans IS a singer. Even at his stand up shows he often ends with a big song where he plays the piano too, he has a strong voice. Just cos you werent keen on him doesnt mean he isnt a singer.

  • Please, please, please, don't think that I am picking on Lee Evans. I saw him live twice and I think he is absolutely brilliant. However, I am just proving my point, that without too much effort, I was able to find many reviews disliking his vocal performance, not one, though, disliking his character or comedy. Lee Evans is not a trained singer. Hopefully you see I love Lee Evans and he is a brilliant performer who just carries a tune.

  • Could you link us to that interviw, if possible? I'd quite like to read it.

  • i will look for it... but i havent read it since like 2004 when it was on.

  • i love reece shearsmith - best leo bloom by far! its a shame its ending on january the 6th :(

  • oh wow this is great

  • wow its sooo funny hearing reece sing

  • You bunch of Retards this is AMAZING

  • Whos Playing Leo in this?

  • Reece Shearsmith.

    He's amazing.

  • I thought it was, im sooo stupid. Hes really good :D

  • I have seen Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane on Broadway and saw this version in Drury Lane recently and I think its not as good.
