Why have they had a tough time to survive in Japan? It's simple coz thay don't have a talent and they don't appreciate to feel music. I understand they really like reggae music and Jamaican culture though. In my opinion as a Japanese myself, it's kind of rude to Jamaican people in a way coz they just copy it. They didn't add something creative like what DJ krush did with hiphop music. Not so impressive

Have you seen "reggaelinx website" it is like YouTube for reggae videos. It is so much easier to find and play reggae videos.
