I heard this song when I had just rescued Dad from the Tranquility Lane simulation. He thanked me, but chastised me for being reckless. For a split second I felt like I was talking to my real father. Brings tears to my eyes remembering that moment, for a moment I WAS in the Capital Wasteland.

Wait, it's F3 a real Fallout game? Don't think so, dumb supermutants, dumb dialogues, no agriculture, no real faction influences, no "gray" decisions... Men, that's what was so great about F1 and F2, getting to Redding, talking to some random dude and instantly knowing that the city's destiny depends on your actions, and the same goes for New Reno, The Den, SAN FRANCISCO, Vault City and Gecko, Modoc..Man, Obsidiand pulled it off, they made an excellent Fallout game,really hope they make F4!

But when my mom bought me Fallout 3.. it was kind of nice of having a dad in the game for a moment, thinking that i will never have a dad who could care like that. You see... Fallout 3 is a true experience... the music makes you feel alone... you just left the Vault, the safest place in the Wasteland, and you're lost in the new world, looking for your father who left you... asking for clues, scrounging the wastes for anything you can find... it is the game with barely any people, and the demolished city of Washington D.C... truly, Fallout 3 is a better experience...

Theres this old, big abandoned crashed construction site near my house.

Nobody is allowed to go there. Some construction workers even DIED there. From what I've heard, someone was tinkering with dynamite and blew the entire construction site up. There was going to be a huge mall there...

I once took a knife there, and my Ipod, I put this song playing and took a flashlight because it was pretty dark. I went exploring the construction site :) Scary as hell.

Ah scavenging for stimpaks, trying to scrap together some ammo, desperately trying to find some Radaway, attempting to hack that computer to open a door to a room that has well needed food, running in to a group of super mutants and coming out with a crippled leg and arm. Oh the wonders of Fallout 3. Best game I have ever played hands down. Call of Duty is okay sometimes, but nothing can compare to the atmosphere and the loss of all hope when you play Fallout 3.

For the first 20 seconds I imagine a wastelander who is hiding behind a rock from a group of raiders who have been pursuing him. He is wounded, having taken a bullet to the chest. Each piano note is a drop of blood that hits the ground. For the remainder of the song, the raiders disperse, and the wastelander slowly dies alone, behind the rock in the middle of nowhere. Another soul forgotten by the Wasteland.
