As far as the drum is concerned ,i think it was a "servis" one ,to be honest it was already in bits at the local tip/re-cycling depot ,(cost a whole 2quid too lol)
As for the grill ,that is a mesh cover for covering a piece of ducting (availaible from your local ductwork supplier (that one cost about a tenner ) .
Phase 2 of mine
will involve turboing it with a 12v blower motor blowing up through the base

This is great! I'm trying to reproduce your results but I'm having trouble with 2 things. The foremost is that I can't find a tumble washer/dryer with holes in the drum (what kind was it?). Second being I can't figure out how to make the very nice grill/lid that you fabricated/purchased. Let me know!
