  • i hate how peoples only excuse for saying the game was bad was because it was too linear, yes i agree with that but everything else made up for it like the gameplay, storyline, characters, areas, history, music, and graphics made up for that one little reason Final Fantasy XIII will always be my favorite FF game

  • yet the music is epic i fucking hate this game i want it to die in hell

  • @juan13625 I liked this game, a**hole! >:(

  • This has officially become my favorite Final Fantasy final boss theme.

    .......

    ........

........ and is it just me, or does anyone else find Kuja's theme extremely bad ass?

  • Here to hopping FFxii-2s music is this good.

  • Requiem of Nativity is the literal ONLY boss battle music I have ever heard that sounds like a actual piece of classical music. Sure, any FF boss battle music can sound epic, but that does not necessarily mean it is classical sounding. This though, is just simply amazing.

  • @KirbyTheEpic Look forward to Asura's Wrath then. At least one boss has an actual piece of classical music as his theme.

  • thats it. its the end of the world. people. the unthinkable has happened. there is no more toilet paper in the world. :O

  • @FlameSpyro1 noooo i don't want to go to back to using leave!!! LEAVES!!!

  • Started listening and it didn't take me long to have my mind blown.

  • "Find your own road to Hell!"

    ~Lightning

  • I think that the purpose of Final Fantasy series is to appeal to different audiences and not to be the same. That is why it is so successful and loved by many. It is never the same, it has something for everyone. It doesn't need to be compared, it is the ultimate extent of fantasy and fantasy has NO bounds. So simply enjoy the marvelous tale and give thanks to the creator of the series.

  • @Vaatinathanmix Because the series keeps chaging the game becomes a failure to me. I only liked IV, VII, and XIII.

  • the game still sucks

  • @TheGashock Why? Why dont you like it? Are you trolling, joking, or having an opinion and being bad ass, or what?

  • @negotiatorsheep1 well, the characters are unlikeable and sometimes intollerable, the combat was kinda cool, but was a bit too easy, the story wasnt all that compelling to me, and the fact that i couldnt go 5 feet, without another boring cutscene, but thats just what i think. its ok if you like it.

    sorry for the spelling

  • @TheGashock ah, true. Thanks for telling me your opinion XD

  • @negotiatorsheep1 youre welcome

  • @TheGashock If you don't like cutscenes every 5 steps, you won't like MGS. x)

  • GIVE ME COFFEE! FOR THE HORSE... FOR... THE... HORSE!!!

  • So, Peanut, in the end which do you like better: this, Dancing Mad, or Chaos?

  • I'm sorry, but the voice acting, characters and story telling were appalling in this game. It was just a mess.

Having said that it had the best visuals and battle system (imo) so far, and some great music.

That still doesn't excuse the embarrassing story and characters though, it's an rpg for god's sake.

I really hope they don't ever port again either, cause I dread to think ho much content was left out just to cater to the xbox casuals.

  • @felixvc What casual gamer do you know plays RPGs...?

  • @TheGuyNamedHenryG Those who like rpgs but don't want anything too complex or long. Rpg's just like any other genre can be marketed to a specific demographic

  • @felixvc Are you talking about RPGs here, or action/adventure games with RPG elements?

  • @TheGuyNamedHenryG I suppose both, though I'd argue that 13 is a far cry from a traditional rpg

  • i already can't wait for the sequal!

  • great theme for a villain that looks like a giant clock dial with a creepy "KILL ME PLZ" face in a middle lol

  • don't hate me for this, but i think nascent requiem, along with dancing mad, zeromus's theme and the emporer's theme, is the greatest final fantasy final boss theme

  • this track screams "kill this motherf***er"

  • This music is so EPIC ! If I buy the game it will be one of my reasons (I know it's stupid)

  • real song names.

    1st-born anew

    2nd-nascent requiem

  • ....Three words: Blinded by Light. That is all. peanut, if you read this comment, PLEASE link me to the page for Blinded by Light in your AVGM, and if you don't have it yet, PLEASE upload it! It's EPIC!

  • It sounds like Kirie from Death Note at the beginning...

  • Final Fantasy XIII may have taken several things from other games in the series. But is that a bad thing entirely? Not really.

  • Not trying to troll you peanut (since you are like my favorite youtuber)

But I belive the names for the songs are Born Anew and Nascent Requiem respectivly. Not that it matters of course, as the music and Fang are amazingly epic!

  • This song is mixed with 10,8,7 and 9 and ofcourse the original game! ^___^

  • I almost shouted loud when I heared this music, I said OH MY FUCKIN GOD!, FINALLY, THE FINAL BOSS, MUHAUAHUAHUAH!!!! LET'S FIGHT UNTIL I FINISH YOU.

  • Well this is old but might as well...

    0:00 :0:13

"GIVE ME COFFEE! FOR THE HORSE! FOR! THE! HORRRRRRSE!!!"

    ...Odin was thirsty.

  • @CountofBleck XD i fell outta my chair Lmfao

  • @XTBRfilms They did this to Hamazu with Unlimited Saga too.. a very mediocre game with such WONDERFUL music..

  • You should never say that any FF game is better than any ff game!

ALL OF THEM ARE AWESOME THE GODDAMN GAME GETS MORE MIND BLOWED!

    IT IS SO 1337!!!! :DDD

  • @Swedboy2010 All are awesome indeed, except 14 apparently...

This one is alright IMO, my favorite final boss battle was from 9

  • @OrpheusHart Yeah right now, I'm playing that game!

  • The music in Final Fantasy 13 is probably one of the best parts in the game, Final Fantasy music has always been good.

  • FF13 was not a bad game , but Ugot fed up with it quickly

  • 6.5 Million HP ftw....

  • This game will, and always will be, EPIC!!

  • I will never get what's with people that have something against this game being on the 360. Some really dumb fans say the series started on the PS. How stupid can you get? These people are actually so dumb that they don't know that the first 6 games were on Nintendo systems, and know nothing of all the remakes on Nintendo systems, and CC series?

  • @dragonstormx The more games that are available, the merrier. Yeah, I don't understand it either to be honest, I hate it when a game you want ends up on another system like Alan Wake.

I wish that game was on PS3 as well as 360. There probably is a benefit to have exclusive titles to certain consoles but right now I just can't think it.

  • @dragonstormx the problem I have with it is the xbox needed like 4 discs to fit all the content on, and a lot was dropped simply so they could do a cross platform release.

I don't have anything against pc or xbox users (hell I'd have all consoles if I could afford them), but that really irks me.

  • When I heard this music with the final boss, I thought it was missing something. I still do, too. I believe an electric guitar with a matching melody would go perfectly with this, and with the boss.

  • LMAO... first 10 seconds, IS GODLY.

  • I was never a fan of the series in the slightest, in fact I hated it. But FF13 was an excellent game, and I hate that it has been getting so much flak because its not the same as FF7 or something.

  • @Tarrelvirus That is not the most common criticism of 13 at all.

Perhaps if you read up on it rather than try to take a cheap shot at a popular earlier ff game you wouldn't sound like a tool.

  • @felixvc Well, to be fair sir it has gotten a lot of flak for being exceedingly linear, and that was what I meant when I posted that comment. However, I realize that my initial comment was not worded correctly, and I really shouldn't have made the comment on Final Fantasy 7. However, if you could refrain from calling me a tool I would be most appreciative. Thanks :)

  • @Tarrelvirus that I can agree with, and I apologize unreservedly for calling you a tool

  • its like the deathnote soundtrack but with a +

  • Birth/Born Anew: I do like this one....a lot...it's just that I've had to hear it so many times trying to beat this guy. It's epic and great, but I've heard it enough trying to get past this form.

Requiem of Nativity/Nascent Requiem: BARELY makes it as my favorite battle theme from this game. Fighting Fate and Saber's Edge was close, but this truly fits for the final battle. The intro is just epic, and is the most hopeful sounding theme in the game. :D

  • at around 2:50 i, for some reason, imagined a fat cartoonish male character singing. dont ask why im just weird.

  • I want an extended version if born anew

  • I love this. Someone needs to make a MMD video with them. (random, I know but still)

  • I actually like the 2nd part better in that I like it while I don't care for the 1st. Kind of find it annoying, but the 2nd part is epic. I especially like 4:39 - 4:52. XIII has an overall great score. I still wish that past music traditions like the fanfare, prelude, prologue (main theme), etc. were part of this, but the "Fabula Nova Crystallis" theme (variations of it play on the title screen and Gran Pulse) is a really good theme that I find myself humming/whistling. Thanks for posting!

  • I love the little piano part that they put into Requiem of Nativity. This has to be the most epic final boss ever. And the game is just.... amazing.

  • Wow! What a let-down :/

  • @Florianbrandsma What the hell are you talking about! This music is amazing!

  • @Florianbrandsma I get what you mean. The theme, especially the chorus, sounds totally arbitrary. The whole "god-state boss needs dramatic chorus and cacophony of dramatic classical instruments" has been so, so overdone already, it was just downright stale when I got to the final boss. I like the game, don't get me wrong--but almost every aspect of the music really bit it for me.

  • @EvilbadBunny A very astute point good sir.

I wonder if you've heard the battle theme for the final boss caedus in monster hunter tri for wii?

It's very haunting and still manages to feel important without much tiring stringage, it's mostly vocals.

A very interesting example of a good boss theme tune.

  • FF14 gonna be a MMO =D

  • I'm so glad I have this game.

  • I played the entire final chapter of this game on my dad's big hi def tv and surround surround sound. I can honestly say that I teared up multiple times during this song. I just let it fill me up. It made me feel angry for some reason. Like I really was sick of being pulled around by fal'cie for the entire. Hearing 2:23 through 2:27 while Lighting says "I'm noone's slave" made me let out a hearty grrargh!

  • As much as the Final Boss music to this is, in fact, epic. I still don't see the same brand of epic that was shown in many of the original Final Fantasies.

I will say one thing, this Final Boss theme completely RAPES the Final Boss theme from FF XII. (HATE THAT FREAKING GAME.)

  • @KeybladeHaven Uhh...sorry, but I think that XII's final boss theme was actually fairly good. The main boss...not so much, but the theme was kickin' once you got around a minute or two into it. (I'm probably that minority of FF fans who adored XII and greatly disliked XIII.) Besides, the second part of this song just seems a rehashed version of the 'Decisive Battle' from FFX. (Around 4:00)

Sorry, I have so many beefs with FF13. Hopefully they can recuperate with 15.

  • Is it possible to split these up? I like Requiem over Birth.

  • @Roboyoshi15 They are splited in the OST disc.

The author just joined the two songs.

  • JIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZ IN MY PPPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNTs

  • :D This is the best.

  • Man, this is epic. It fits so well with the final battle that it's scary.

  • An opera music, right?

  • Awesome, the music is just epic.

  • the second begining sound like some death note music

  • 4:40 is my favorite part. This song is so awesome and fits the moment right.

  • I also love the barthandelus battle theme. It is similar to birth, just less epic, of course.

  • My favorite part is at 5:53 when the piano plays that tune

  • One word: epic

    My suggestions for AVGM's:

    -Super Mario World credits

    -Brawl credits

    -Metroid Prime 3 credits

    -Temporal Tower (Pkmn Dungeon 2)

I also think you should do a Top 10 Credits Music vid. It definitely wouldn't be hard to find enough; even among only stuff you've already AVGM'd, there's Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime, Chrono Trigger, Metal Gear Solid, and Portal...heck, you might even have to do a top 15 or 20

  • the second phsae would make for an awsome ringtone....

  • Okay, so this is sooo epic, and the fact that the vast majority of the game was scored by a live orchestra is amazing. The quality of the music is great. My only complaint with the game's music as whole is that none of it is anywhere near the perfect ratio of catchy:artistic:musically demanding that Nobuo had for so long with the series.

  • Love it! Ear orgasm lol

  • Epic music. O.O Final Fantasy music always rocks, no matter what all the "Nuu! This music sucks, the music in FFVII is better!" "Nooo! The music in FFVII sucks, the music in FFX is better!" brats say. Seriously, I wish people would stop arguing about that. When are they gonna realize that it all depends on what kind of taste a person has? That's why it's a pointless and neverending arguement. Seriously, all the FFs are good, so stop saying that one of them sucks!

  • @Niobesnuppa 8 sucks.

  • @Niobesnuppa the thing is that final fantasy 13 was too linear and the battle system didn't work well

  • @brainjuice654 Says who?

  • @Niobesnuppa Exactly! they're all good in their own way

  • @nixlegio Yeah. :)

  • Anyone agree that this is on par with One Winged Angel?

  • This is better than one winged angel in my opinion, sheer genius!

  • @GlassCrocodile I agree with you, all the way man!

  • @GlassCrocodile

It might even surpass Dancing Mad.....

    Nah.

  • epic as hell

    awesome meter 9/10

  • Oh, by the way, the first phase is called "Born Anew."

  • Birth: Sounds like a more dramatic version of Liberi Fatali.

Requiem of Nativity: O_O that's just plain EPIC!!! And it souds a little bit with something from Dragon Quest.

I noticed that a good part of XIII's soundtrack is a bit alike with VI and VIII's. Well, it's Uematsu back in the saddle, right?

  • Hardly any of XIII was composed by Uematsu - It was all composed by Masashi Hamauzu (co-composer on Final Fantasy X and Dirge of Cerberus)

  • @PirateOfAmazon

Uematsu hasn't done any music for Final Fantasy since FFX (I think. I know he didn't do the music for FFXII and XIII).

  • @Nesaru Nobuo did one song for XII (Kiss me Goodbye, the theme song).

  • love this piece of music in all ff series its what i play the games for as well for the music throughout the gameplay epicness! :D

  • omg so epic O_O

  • Is it only coming for the PS3? And what date?

  • its coming out March 9th in the us for PS3 and 360

  • @danielbanaan it's coming for both 360 and ps3

  • Don't forget the Duet as well. And Byrne's theme and Cole's theme.

  • Hey Peanut4323, have you listened to the OST 'Test of the L'Cie' which is also from Final Fantasy 13?

You should, because to me, it sounds way more epic than the final boss theme[Orphan's Cradle] of FFXIII.

As I've played the Japanese version of FFXIII, this is my opinion on the music in the game and Masashi Hamauzu has done a wonderful job on composing the music.

    5 Stars for this video.

  • May you like it or may you not, Hamaozu has made a BEAUTIFUL work, since many people would think he wouldn´t.

  • shocked and awed

  • wow, just wow.

  • 0.o

    Birth is way more epic.

  • God, this is epic.......

  • @spartacat300

    Shut up -,-

Unless u have a Xbox 360 already then u dont have to.

But Final Fantasy XIII Versus is coming for the PS3 Only

  • @spartacat300

If you have Final Fantasy and 360 in the same sentence, you will be thumbs downed to death by PS3 fanbois. Some people think Final Fantasy started on the PS, sadly...

  • little do they know final fantasy had its best game with nintendo :P

  • @Nesaru

I will never understand how they can be that stupid. What, did they think that the series started with VII and think that the first six, and all the remakes on the GBA and DS, and CC, don't exist?

  • @dragonstormx

Well, some console players who play on the PS3/360 actually loathe Nintendo products. Thinking it's "just for kids," so...

  • @Nesaru

So they are also stupid for reasons neither of us even need to point out.

  • The fact the final boss theme is divided into two parts suggests a multi-stage boss. That's always awesome.

  • No. The music were good not only for being great music but for fitting their final boss, just like what this one is. It's great.

  • It's still better than the FFXII final battle theme. The standard battle theme will outlast this, in my opinion.

  • I definitely like that first theme a lot more. Is it my imagination or would these themes not be wholly out of a place in Shadow of the Collosus? Oh and peanut3423... have you ever heard any of the music from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles... you might want to at least listen to "Sad Monster" and "Fusion, Descent"

  • I don't care what it sounds like or what people think; it is still part of the FF music collection to come and I must have a link to download this song!!!

  • i pad is new tampon

  • shuddap ppl

  • the first one was just plain awesome.

one think i found very out of place is the sound at 0:49

when i heard that i sounds like "superman to the rescue to me" imo

  • Some of you are talking about how it doesn't fit to the final battle? Have you even played it? I beat the final boss yesterday and it fits PERFECTLY. I don't understand why people tend to speak out their mind before knowing/seeing/listening something.

  • @souleraser1979

    It's a fanboy thing.

Fans: Are fine with the series. Will play the game first and then judge it later.

Fanboys: Don't exactly like the way FF is going (they prefer it to be the same as FFI, FFIV or something). Will judge the game before even playing it.

Fanbois: Love FF simply because it's Final Fantasy. FFVII is usually their favourite, particularly the movie and spinoffs (not the main game) without explaining why. It's "simply because."

  • then i am a fan

  • yea, i really think basch shoud have been the MC in 12, would've made it sooooo much better [i still love 12 nonetheless, ties with 6 and 9 for my fav FF and have high hopes for 13]

  • @Nesaru I'm a fan then. I never judge a book by its cover and I am very interested in the stories they had for each of them.

  • Comment removed

  • @Nesaru

ffvii was the first 3d ff game it was a bomb to rpg fans and i had awesome charecters music and gameplay minigames side quests and deep story with many charecters

look each ff has its own stlye i personally dislike viii i know its masterpiece to most of ppl i like iv more than vi also ix and x i love them

  • @Nesaru ah, so Peanut3423 is one of those fanbois? :P

  • Far from it. Moreso a "fan".

  • @peanut3423 Masashi Hamauzu had the same talent than others composers, like Uematsu, Shoji Meguro and many others

  • @Nesaru very correct. dissing FF7 to the fanbois is like getting political

  • @Nesaru i guess im a fan then. (fanbois? did you make that up then LOL)=)

  • @Nesaru yah then theres the small fraction of non idiotic fanbase.

i love the entire seris ebecouse of the quality but im not afraid to say i thought 7 was mediocer becouse of the second discs flaws and not just becouse peaple call it the best in the serise. i enjoyed the movie cause i thought it was a fun movie with some cool action scenes. and it had james woods as a villian which is awsome. and i thought 4 and 6 werent all tat great.

i like the serise based on quality not the name.

  • @souleraser1979 yah the only problem with the final boss is you dont hear the music becouse you can beat the guy in about 30 seconds tops. hell it took me 16 seconds the first time. its the 2nd form thats the pain in the ass.

  • It does remind me of that fight against Bahamut SIN from FFVIIAC, though.

  • EPIC WIN

  • Very FF8 and FF10 sounding, very epic !

  • i cant see how u get ff8 out of that lol

  • @KiwiBarb well its kinda reminding of FF10 last battle themes just slowed down a bit, but come on listen carefully and remember Liberi Fatali, and there many tunes during FF8 love/culmination points. I dont know you probably forgot FF8 )) I just replayed it this January so i feel some similiar tunes.

  • 2,000th veiwer, WTF?!
