Just my opinion and who asked i know but I have to disagree I like Phil Vassar's version better. I don't know you just can't mess with an original and Phil nailed a good one when he wrote this song. Saw it live and it rocked this past summer! This is still very good.

@UNIFOOTBALL88 --> Hate to break it to you, but Collin Raye originally sung 'Little Red Rodeo' in Dec. 1997. Phil Vassar (who co-wrote the song) re-recorded it in 2006.

@mkellyemt Hate to break it to you lol. But Phil Vassar was a songWRITER for years before he started singing and he was the one who wrote Little Red Rodeo FOR Collin Raye. Then he went into singing on his own, and had the rights to re-record many of the songs he wrote for other artists himself.
