  • Ohh shit

  • @ilovekiki143 Your grammar and punctuation is shit. Learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • @armandornd Fuck off you sniveling cunt. All I did was write two words, "Ohh shit"... would it have been better if I wrote "Oh shit!"? What the fuck is your problem?

  • @ilovekiki143 Your grammar and punctuation is shit. Learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation correctly before you send somebody a comment.

  • @armandornd Your use of the internet is shit. Learn how not to show everyone that your overweight and still live in your "Momma's basement" before posting your greasy fat fingered, useless post replies on Youtube!

Then again, I'm passing this judgement on how you waste your insignificant time on this planet giving a crap about such pointless matters as how someone didn't take the extra 0.2 seconds to press the comma key on a small space on the internet where it doesn't actually matter.

  • @armandornd It's funny how people actually give a damn... oh wait, i don't. :)

  • They spy on you

  • just another reason i like firefox

  • @TheMsdos25 I know right. I use Firefox Nightly.

  • if you want to know something about privacy you should ask NSA what do they know about you and about what are you doing at the internet ;) ... thanks anti-terrorism law :))

  • @tomenmen You should learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • xD This is the first video like this to actually make me laugh! I am a fan boy but seriously?!?! As far as I know, your IP address has absolutely nothing to do with Google, that is your own unique ID. Yes Google can trace an (approximate) IP Lat-Long but as you demonstrated yourself, so can other websites. And if I'm not mistaken, latitude and longitude are map coordinates, so yes if you enter map coordinates into a map search, it will indeed look up and show you that place on the map!

  • @KrisMcAwesome "Your IP address has absolutely nothing to do with Google"

That wasn't the point you moron. The point was to prove that the common assumption of "it doesn't matter I'm anonymous on the internet" isn't true. If you actually LISTENED and not take a random bit out of context for no apparent reason whatsoever, perhaps you'd actually learn something.

  • @gamersxs Learn how to use correct punctuation correctly before you send somebody a comment, moron.

  • If you hate Google that much, then why do you use Google's own video hosting service to host your videos? There are hundreds of other free video hosting sites on the internet, but you had to choose YouTube, which is owned by Google. You should be more worried about the stuff that Microsoft is doing, using google is your own choice, but microsoft forces you to use their software and OS, almost no matter what computer you buy. Compared to other companies, google ain't evil.

  • @vaffelspiser Confirmed for Google fanboy.

Youtube is the most popular video site on the net. Its not hard to figure out.

  • @vaffelspiser Your comment makes absolutely no sense. If you use Youtube, you are a user of Google, which is who this video is for. A better question would be: Why wouldn't he upload it to Youtube? What do you think he made this video? Just to make a video? No, to educate people.

And to your "Google ain't evil" comment. Spend 30 minutes of research on the topic and you will find that you are GREATLY mistaken. Google is the largest data mining company on the planet.

  • @vaffelspiser You should learn how to use correct grammar correctly before you put up a comment.

  • so someone intentionally types "I want to kill the president of the us" and then google gets it.. now you say google is wrong for doing that. Well, yeah i guess, but dont you think its worse that someone actually typed that o.o

  • @Maisy2499 why would you type that in google? i cant see the possible situation in which someone would type that.. appart from now that I want to know what can i find

  • @villuzza .. thats what I just said..

  • @Maisy2499 Weather what the user typed was right or wrong is irrelevant. What if the user typed "birth control" and then decided not to search that? Google now knows that the user was interested in birth control. Let's try a different scenario. Let's say a corrupt government has taken over a country and a user searches the name of a group of an underground resistance. This information can be retrieved by the government. The whole purpose privacy rights is to protect you and me.

  • @Maisy2499 Your grammar and punctuation is wrong. Learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • Dude, you can disable the Search Preview thingy.

And you think Google does have time to track your stuff and use it?

    Thumbs up if you agree.

  • Use startpage, it protects your privacy

  • @CJFRANKS7 You should learn how to use correct punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • @armandornd Sorry about that.

  • The IP address and locator thing scares the hell out of me. D:

To the people posting: I think the reason he's focusing on google is because it's popular and has more ties, industries and supporters backing it.

  • Lied to the owners of Google do not spying on you want to eliminate them

  • Uninstall the keylogger man!

  • lol paranoia FTW. not news to me

  • @cliffhanger525 It's funny how you don't know how to use correct grammar and punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • Chrome Incognito never claimed that it will mask your presence on the web or encode your packets, it merely stated that it will not store cookies or other history information on your PC. check the "Incognito mode" help and you'll find a box stating that it won't (cover your tracks).

  • @Aloshonjourney Your grammar needs help. Learn how to use correct grammar correctly before you put up a comment.

  • I want to kill the president FTW

  • are you serious?

all major browsers and all major searchengines work like this

    stop scapegoating google

  • paranoia rules!

don't use damn internet at all if you want privacy!

but they still spy your mobile!

and watch on you with satelites.

don't walk on streets either, there are surveillance cameras!

    you're TOO IMPORTANT to them.

  • @MrSinchy Most ignorant thing I've read in awhile.

  • Very Interesting Info!

  • SCARY!!

  • Video name: How google's chrome doesn't protect your privacy

And first example is jsut something that could been done with simple javascript hackjob. Which could be implemented in any site.

    Brilliant.

  • my lat&long put me half way accross the city. wierd. in a place i never frequent, and especially never get online with my laptop.

  • umm ...

It's good to notice about real-time search (search on typeing)

but not only google do this bing, yahoo any web site that have realtime word prediction must do this to

Also in search box that have realtime word prediction on all popular browser firefox ie9 safari opera dos have realtime search and send info about what you type too

  • this is utterly retarded.

if you search for porn, drugs, arms:

    1) it's your problem. you are a sicko.

    2) once you click submit, it will go to google anyway. (because, you want to search for something)

finally, 99% of all data that goes through net goes without encryption, so it can be eavesdropped by third person. however, this applies to any website you access, not only google.

  • @ximinezcardinal Learn how to use correct grammar correctly before you put up a comment, retard.

  • That application creation is kind of far fetched.

  • NO!!! NO!!! no!!! yes they record it but they all do, and it's easy to remove the google analystics thingy by downloading Noscript! AND PLEASE DON't BLAME Google chrome of Google analystics because it do exist on firefox IE and more... Btw this is youtube your posting you video on and youtube is owned by google so don't blame google for meing irritating because YOU use it all the time to get views on this anti-google video wich is posted on Google. and Btw YOU CAN live without google.NO Chars LF

  • I send you a message: Stop hunting on Google or i'm going to hunt on you!

  • Comment removed

  • I hope this is sarcasm...

  • Google is a spyware haha and every day i type i want to kill Google so far they dont have a problem with it hahahah stop being so scerad of google

  • Startpage . com

    Problem solved. Next.....

  • @joneselius Your punctuation has problems. Learn how to use correct punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • SRWare Iron... the Goggle Chrome, that doesn't track you!

  • I find your assumption on the search as you type suggestions in Chrome incorrect. While this does send Google information when used with the default Google search, it does not send it while using a different search engine, such as Bing. All it does is send the appropriate search engine some bytes to find out what is the next best suggestion.

  • your geolocation method saying how an unspecified entity could pinpoint my half-word unsubmitted searches to my location using only my IP address and a geolocation database said i was in yorkshire, england. im actually in hertfordshire, england, 200 miles away...

  • Thank you.

  • Both of these features can be turned off. Wrench > Options > Under the Hood> and uncheck "Show Suggestions for Navigation Errors"

and immediately below that, "Use a Suggestion Service to help complete searches"

  • Firefox FOREVER!!!!!!! ;-)

  • I can confirm that, if you turn off sending usage statistics and bug reports, Google Chrome sends nothing more data to Google as any other browser does. If you feel paranoid, you can always download Chromium, the open source browser that Google Chrome gets its codebase from, but you don't get from Chromium is official support from Google, and auto updates.

  • This is why I most likely wont ever use Google Chrome and will stick with Firefox. Google and Privacy just do not go together. I know a lot of people in here are saying if you want privacy don't use the internet but that is BS I am allowed some privacy on the internet.

  • @danger7x7 :| this is not a chrome issue its a google thing and u cant change by usin a diffrent browser since all search engines use real time querying, one way is there, disconnect ur pc from the internet ull have all the privacy u need

  • Damn! This is crazy! even incognito mode doesn't do the much stuff? Anyone think that Firefox's "Private Browsing" does the same think or does it do better at protecting your privacy?

  • @MasterCookiez incognito mode just prevents your pc from storing history and cookies, but no matter what ever methods you use, packets need to be sent and those can be tracked

  • The problem is that GoogleAutoSuggest-spyware is ON by default.

We can tell our browser to block

    clients*.google.*

GoogleWebHistory-spyware is also ON by default.

    GoogleYoutubeAutoSuggest-spyware too.

I dont know how to block those. yet...

Today these things are paranoia, i'm sure Google wont do us any

harm. But we have no way of knowing what will happen later on,

    so better safe then sorry.

  • @uuu64 Well if you block google then you just blocked your only map around the internet. News flash: Bing and Yahoo use similar features too.

  • I'm not suggesting not using google, just blocking how they track people. *clients*.google.* block GoogleSearch autosuggest. *suggestqueries.google.* block YoutubeSearch autosuggest. *doubleclick* *.googlesyndication.* and so on also helps. Delete Cookies as often as we want. And lots more. o I protect my privacy more o I see less annoying ads o I reduce pointless traffic on my slow internet o I learn lots of fun and geeky things But it costs time, that's why i share ideas.
  • This is bullshit. Google doesn't record every letter you type so it can find out if you're looking up marijuana. It's just to accumulate statistics on what people are looking up so google can keep refining it's search techniques.

If you're seriously worried about this, then adjust your tinfoil hat. It might be on a little too tight, you paranoid crack pot.

  • @EmperorEva0001

If you paid attention, it was also recording the I.P address.

  • @CubeLuda what are you hiding? Osama?

  • @EmperorEva0001

Jesus... If it was legal, you would probbally sell your own mother wouldn't you? I mean seriously? I'm hiding myself and MY own privete things... It's that simple. Whats next? What do I have to hide in my bank account? Let google log my bank infomation too.

    You donut.

  • @CubeLuda If you don't like chrome then don't use it. All of your kiddy porn will be save with the other browsers.

  • @EmperorEva0001

I'm not useing it, and never will. You can carry on useing it under the nefty speach of "I don't have anything to hide."

Kiddie porn? Now thats just sick.

  • @CubeLuda I know it's sick, and you should be exposed for the paranoid pedophile that you really are. You need help, and if you were using chrome, they could find out the disgusting sites you go to and then send police to you house. Do you understand how crazy you sound?

  • @EmperorEva0001

You know what, as off now I'm dropping the replies... You keep pulling more and more sad excuses out of your ass everytime just to think you can win me over. It's sad, move on. Don't bother wasting your time with a hefty reply, it would be purely wasted.

PS: Enjoy sucking Google's cock for every invention. You're no different from the Steve Job's followers. :)

  • @CubeLuda is that why you just replied to me? to let me know that you weren't replying to me? Is that the same logic you use when you bash google while using the google owned website youtube? Have a nice day homophobe. :)

  • I agree with you. This idea of no privacy's is bullshit

  • Firefox ftw.

    [insert evil laugh here]

  • Why the hell would you write it if you don't want it to be recorded??

  • Comment removed

  • Big brother is watching youtube.

  • Mmmmm

    map data is way off,,,

Dont think that that will be a risk

  • Fuck no wayyy

  • When it comes to storing information(like ip address, actions, etc.) form a website, it's just normal. But if your own browser sends information to google for whatever you do at the Internet, it's just horrible!

If you want your browser to not send info to any company, use SRWare Iron. I recommend it for all chrome users.

  • The author of this video is just stupid, none of these stuff is related to Chrome in any way.

Few weeks ago I explained all those stuff in details (it was 4 comments long) and author just removed them. He's making fools out of you. Just read last few smart comments.

  • Doesn't really talk about chrome too much. He talks about google's suggestions and ip addresses (with btw all websites can obtain this easily).

Neither of these are chrome centered.

  • I AGREE WITH YOU KHAPTIC

  • @sagas599 I agree that you need to learn how to use correct punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • What a moron. Don't listen to him, it's bullshit.

    1. All websites store your IP Address so it doens't really matter.

    2. How GeoIP has something to do with Google? EVERYONE has your ip and everyone can use this service!

    3. How for god sake you expect the suggestion feature to work without sending data back to google? You don't like it? Disable it!

    4. Your fourth claim is so ridiculous! Google "Controls" both sides? Goole has onthing to do with it! It's just a browser!

  • Who cares if App chortcuts open in incognito mode... You've already saved the link to your computer, so it's there for anyone to see anyway. Incognito mode isn't there so you can look up how to make a bomb without anyone being able to track it. It's there so you can buy your girlfriend a present, without her seeing your history and finding out what it is.

You are WAY too paranoid. If you want to avoid anyone seeing what you do on the web, I agree with other comments that you shouldn't use it!

  • incognito is for porn dude

  • @TheDrunkMunk

There is no need of going incognito for watching porns.... r u ashamed of watching porn? Get some confidence.

  • @TheDrunkMunk Learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation correctly before you put up a comment, dude.

  • I'm sorry, this is kind of nonsense.

    1) Many sites do this, it it bothers you, use FF with NoScript. Note the Chrome bar does the same thing, but you can disable it in Chrome's settings

    2) Almost every website logs your IP. Don't like it, don't use the web or use something like Tor.

    3) You can disable this in Chrome settings

    4) This use case doesn't make any sense - if you're concerned about privacy, you wouldn't put a link on your desktop.

    5) Again, disable JavaScript if this bothers you.

  • I learned one thing from this video.

dont type: "I want to kill the presidnet"

  • Least of which because it's mis-spelt.

  • This is crazy!!

I will post everyone i know this video!!

i thought google really protect my privacy!

  • "..to ask Google to protect your privacy..."

    ROFL

  • dude omg you are the fucking man bro dude i was watching this and i love google and like you made me hate google lmao but ima keep using it cuz i like the colorful letters...

  • Do you have any suggestions about privacy? Proxy software and whatnot?

  • But, everyone is doing that, firefox has the suggestion tool too. Also Explorer has it.

And as "eudemonroks" said, almost all the search engine got every letter u write on the search box.

  • google chorme sucks and google sucks cause google makes stupid failing chrome

  • HOLY SHIT. Mind = Blown.

Okay, seriously, aside from the little bug in Chrome's incognito mode about creating a link (I suppose it makes sense), you're stating the obvious. Besides, the suggestion feature can be turned off if you're THAT concerned about people seeing what you search for.

  • FutureMillennium: Even if you turn that feature off, the government can still find out your history of EVERY search word and website that you ever visited. Investigators were able to backtrack and find out that Casey Anthony (who's on trial for murder) entered the word "chloroform" as a search word on the Internet.

Since most young people illegally download music, the government could easily ruin almost anyone, and they can use that as intimidation if you're outspoken about government policies.

  • Yeah, the government can also request to view your e-mail inbox or pretty much anything sooo that's not really surprising either. I would be more worried about hackers than the government, so yeah.

I suppose you have a point, but then again, I think they have bigger fish to fry. And even if they couldn't access your web history, I'm pretty sure they'd find SOMETHING on you if they really wanted. Or just made it up. They're the government after all.

  • It's about privacy. I don't care if anyone cares what I'm searching for. Google logs your IP in THEIR server, and with geolocation can pinpoint where you live to within a few blocks from your home. It's like posting your address on the internet. You wouldn't do that here would you?

  • I wouldn't do what?

Also, basically every site where you post something in a form (including a search box) can and probably does save your IP along with other data. They can actually do that even without a form, but it's more common that way. So what's your point?

  • Yes but most sites have specific privacy contracts that state they either 1) Remove or clean out that data or 2) Don't bother collecting it at all.

  • That's not true. There are no laws preventing you from saving user information or making you get rid of it. On the contrary, there are laws in many European countries that force ISPs to save and store this kind of data in case the government ever wants to track someone down. So even if the websites didn't save anything, the ISPs still do

  • When did I say there were laws preventing such thing?

  • very good video;)....but i tried this myself....and all browsers dose this:| dosent that mean that all browsers track our key strokes? thx

  • How would Google suggest the word(s) if they wouldn't get what you type?

Besides why does the subject include Chrome? It's not only the Chrome browser and it's not only Google who gets your word(s) that you type when you use the suggestion feature.

  • lol....

    google does this...yes

    i agree

    dont forget

    yahoo does this

    msn does this

probably 80% of the advanced search engines in the world does this

btw you should'nt be affraid in the 1st place if you aren't doing anything illegal

  • @eudemonroks It's funny how you don't know how to use correct grammar and punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • fuck google griimey ass people

  • Youtube is owned by Google too. I think it has too much control, that kinda freak me out, they are everywhere, and where they are they are the best, attracting so much people, adepts. I have an google account: gmail, google talk, picassa album, google alert... al of them, from the information gave there they can now everything about me

  • sorry about the writing mistakes

  • Great Job bro, very well explained, thanks!

  • Google is owened by the elite bloodline families. Google is not trust worthy. Google is rife with corruption. Google have taken over youtube & are pulling all types of stunts to help bring in the new world order. Google is a propaganda machine, possibly owned by the Rothchilds themselves. They are definately part of the CIA - 'criminal' intellegence agency. Boycott google crome, do not fall for their lies & entrapment!

  • Yahoo! does this too if you have the suggested search turned on, almost any suggested search site does this! Oh big surprise..

  • @lilsweetie007us It's a big surprise that I'm telling you to learn how to use correct punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • we knew this.....

  • who cares? peple acting all alarmed about this are being ridiculous.

YES, Google knows what you search for, adn YES suggest requires sending info to them. Who fricking cares? if you search for 'marijuana' they'd know then, too. If you don't want to send it - don't type it.

  • Yeah... ACCEPT SUPPRESSION.

BAAAHAHAAAA. I don't want any rights anyway. I got PS3, Aspartame and MSG.

  • don't forget prozac and seroquel, thats a must-have for a zombie ;)

  • I used to use Google Chrome. I realized that this wasn't the safest browser before I saw this video. I use Opera now.

  • its surprising how little of the user share opera has, anyway... not a bad browser imo

  • thats not really that bad, all that information was out there to begin with. Thats an AJAX auto complete application its only exchanging information with the server, do you think google is really keeping all that information? Hell no they get millions if not billions of requests a day.

  • Just use Firefox or Opera.

  • OMG, i can't believe...

    This prove nothing.

Q1) "OMG!! Everything i type in Google Search Box in sended back to his servers!!"

A1) Of course. Did u noticed the Autocomplete function? That box, appear below the Search Box?? Do you think Google's HUIGE database is stored in ur computer?? NO!! Google Website (WEBSITE, not Chrome!! Every browser do it) send what u're typing in Box (ONLY IN GOOGLE SEARCH BOX) and retrieve back seems links, to Autocomplete box.

  • nice point Feko

  • @eudemonroks It would be nice if you learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • @FekoBR I noticed that you need to learn how to use correct grammar correctly before you put up a comment.

  • @armandornd Yes, indeed I do! Sorrry, it's a little hard to remember all grammar when you know more than two languages. But feel free to point out my spelling errors, so I can evolve. Thanks in advice =)

  • i have a question, and it may be of the newbie variety. does chrome only log key strokes in google search boxes? or is it more general? do they log key's from any text box, like usernames, passwords, credit card information?

  • I do not know if they do. However, as long as you run Chrome, they could eventually do that.

  • @sphilk I have a suggestion; learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • why would i want to put a link of something i dont want people to know that im searching for onto my desktop?!

  • u wanna visit a couple of hours later.

  • wow, as soon as I type a letter google is already trying to deliver what I want. There is no difference between that and the finished word!

oh wait, yup they assume something and then that assumption leads to you being outed and arrested for not even having done something!

Geeez, Im sure glad I dont live in the states.

  • Shocking to see this. 5 stars for the eyeopener.

  • Thank you for taking the time to educate all of us on this very important topic, at a time when our privacy rights have been eroding!!

  • greta video, gave me second thought about getting google chrome

  • I wanted to fill it out, but there is 'no Canadian Location' ..on the forms/letters

    :(

  • I will bet the NSA is pleased as punch!

    Thanks tons for this eyeopener.

  • Thank you. 5 Stars and faved.

  • @Lindasufos You should thank me for telling you to learn how to make a complete sentence before you put up a comment.

  • I tried the "I want to kill the" thing and i did not have to type in president to get "I want to kill the president of the usa" in the suggestion box. How many people are typing that now of days.

  • It's says I live in Rosedale Cemetary! Sweet! I am from the dead! Booooooo! 34.0416-118.2988 --- for real try my coordinates!

U are getting a message from the dead.... WOOOOOO!!!!! Scary!

  • @HollowEarthling You're getting a comment telling you to learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • ive been banned from the get my ip add they say i have over used when in fact i never visited the site before weird!

  • Thanks to you i have uninstalled all google products from my system thank you so much!

  • consumerwatchdog, you are right at all points but there is nothing new. Google started as a free web service, where do you think they got their profit from? They provided statistaics of people's searches. So nothing with Chrome, it's about whole internet. And yes, if you want to kill a pres of us, or find some child porn they can easily find you.

  • @Cig187 Your grammar isn't right. Learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • @armandornd Ohlol. Maybe you should learn at least 3 other languages and then you'll understand what it is to write not in your native one.

  • great hacker friendly huh.. it is all tracked and logged so what is new....

  • I saw the change to 'chrome' link, and thought it's just another 'gimmick' for Google(and it's owner manipulators) to track you,why else do these people ever do anything?

  • @countesscristo I saw your comment and I thought to myself that I need to tell you to learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation correctly before you put up a comment.

  • This is seriously fucked up. Thanks for the heads up. We need people like you.

  • Your Ip address was probably mapped to the nearest gateway where a number of address in a specified general area are.

  • Thanks for the insight...

    Cheers
