I got a direct hit with a D1 HE round on a tiger and blew it up, the weight of the shell destroys it. And also dynamite is awesome against most, maybe all tanks, if you can get close enough.

wrong. large HE shells can destroy tanks. have you even seen what the ISU 152 can do with HE? it can knock turrets off of king tigers.

Yup, true! But i was talking about tanks vs tanks.. and isu 152 is a SPG. He shells can also damage tanks, disable them destroying tracks, killing crewmen or shellshocking them but it can be an hazard cause you never know what will happen when you fire with HE ammo on a high armoured target.

Anyway, isu 152 is an exception cause it is extremely powerfull and accurate and it can destroy also king tiger with only one hit right on the upper turret. With artillery like german howitzer or english 25pdr you can shoot for all the match to a disabled tank without destroying it.

any 6 inch gun can kill tanks. lighter tanks can also be blown up with 85-120mm shells to, but ure right, the heavier ones need 6 inch.
