@roflcopter720 Well a turbo will make up for the lack of displacement. You would definitely see a difference if they did the race from a stand-still. Thats why no import racer will race at a red light unless they have a "2step" because their turbos won't spool up fast enough, and when they do, by that point they're already seeing your tail lights.
@burninrock24 my friends srt4 is stage 2 with all mopar upgrades and the factory turbo and it spools at only 2500 rpm. he has a boost controller and on level 4 in 4th and 5th gear it puts out 20 pounds of boost and he spins the tires in 1st through 3rd. also if hes in 5th on the highway in the rain, he can spin the tires

@shoppy16 you're right...the 96-98 4v cobras and 99 and 01 cobras ARE NOT supercharged...the only years between 96-04 they were supercharged were the 03-04s...and they were nicknamed terminators or termis for short....cobras are fast even the non termis...I think the 96-98s are HIGHlY underestimated. I used to get so agrovated at little redlight sprints in my mild bolt on 4.10 geared 97 when they'd roll back up at the next redlight "hey man is that one of the supercharged ones"....God.....

In stock trim the '99 cobras weren't that quick. Ford didn't really get it right until the '03. Because of the terminator cobras ('03 & '04s) people seem to think that all cobras are crazy fast. Props to the poster for letting people know ahead of time before someone said something stupid.
terminator was just a nickname svt gave them. they run mid 12s at over 110mph stock. mid 11s with minor bolt ons. if i could have afforded it i would have gotten one instead of my srt4. but i love my srt4 for the money i spent on it.

Although I agree that those cars overall were weak, God knows the "recall" they had just to up the power on them to stock; However, the 99's had the Teksid block.. if by "weak" you mean able to handle 1000+RWHP when built properly, then you're wrong. the '01 WAP block is the weak one respectively because of a thinner block overall.

@shoppy16 you're right...the 96-98 4v cobras and 99 and 01 cobras ARE NOT supercharged...the only years between 96-04 they were supercharged were the 03-04s...and they were nicknamed terminators or termis for short....cobras are fast even the non termis...I think the 96-98s are HIGHlY underestimated. I used to get so agrovated at little redlight sprints in my mild bolt on 4.10 geared 97 when they'd roll back up at the next redlight "hey man is that one of the supercharged ones"....God.....

In stock trim the '99 cobras weren't that quick. Ford didn't really get it right until the '03. Because of the terminator cobras ('03 & '04s) people seem to think that all cobras are crazy fast. Props to the poster for letting people know ahead of time before someone said something stupid.

terminator was just a nickname svt gave them. they run mid 12s at over 110mph stock. mid 11s with minor bolt ons. if i could have afforded it i would have gotten one instead of my srt4. but i love my srt4 for the money i spent on it.

Although I agree that those cars overall were weak, God knows the "recall" they had just to up the power on them to stock; However, the 99's had the Teksid block.. if by "weak" you mean able to handle 1000+RWHP when built properly, then you're wrong. the '01 WAP block is the weak one respectively because of a thinner block overall.
