although given RTD's retutation for lying in papers, the beat is heavily rumoured to be the origin of 'he will know four times' so maybe the alarm clock story was made up to cover up his little scheme
according to rtd though its just a coinidence, its aparently the beat of rtd's alarm clock although i it wouldn't surprise me if he had a doctorwho alarm clock
